hi all
i have installed prime hd 9 with custom kernel i want to exactly know at what min and max CPU frequency should i keep for good high speed performance which is stable i kept some frequency at random and it was not that much speed it slowed my phone and in what governor should i keep
I personally dont recommend doing anything with your CPU because from my experience I didnt see so much difference and speeding up your CPU will make you battery drain faster and you CPU will reach highier temps. For the governor I use the performance one because it is constantly keeping the clocks on the highest set values. It makes the phone work smoother and while changing clocks its slowing the phone down. You can try and look for every governor meaning but I recommend the performance one. To monitor the temps use SetCPU`s widget.

Cpu can't handle it or battery overheat
But Which?
All theese too?
Anyway i'll make a test:
I will OC higher and higher and run a Quadrant Benchmark, while holding my phone in front of a 90cm fan, without the phone's back cover
Will report the test's performance ^^

Its due to the cpu, every cpu is different, their tolerant limits for oc are different, you should oc the processor only uptill the point where it runs without any reboot.
Do not cross the safety limit, it might damage your processor.
Oh man. Accidentally pressed the thanks button again.
Volkswagen is cool and I hope to own one.
No problem, there we go there is a Big Thanks for you too

You should really consider clocking up to at least 1400 you'll notice a huge difference as long as your rom/kernel is stable at higher speeds. If your scared of overheating you can set a profile to change your clock settings once it reaches a certain temp.

But... It's smooth as it is just a question, why do you overclock? For games, or for smoothness in the os? Because I have a Nexus 7 for games and everything, I don't need a super powered phone. Even my N7 is usually underclocked
Another reason I don't overclock is because my phone is unstable at higher frequencies with my voltage settings. If I raise the voltages it will use more battery :/
But they said, I am setting my phone to 1.2GHz now to try

Hey, all.
I am running the apocalypse ROM on my SGA.
While playing, i noticed that Jetpack Joyride lags a lot.
What will be the best CPU settings and governor for gaming?
Please let me know your opinion.
Also, I rarely over clock it beyond 844mhz, so is it a good idea to go beyond?
Thanks.
Peace out.

But I was just wondering which would be the best governor for gaming. Everyone may have different opinions.

I have mine on 902mhz, always stable, very fast and very good for gaming, the best governor for gaming is either lagfree or performance.
Best of luck!

well if you scared of crashes, heat and battery drain you can set maximum to 864mhz, minimum to 245 mhz and set governors to performance will be very stable and faster. it depends on your device. i found my ace oc to 902mhz is not stable for me, it crashes often and very hot, drains the battery about 1% 6-7 mins.

Fastest mean 1350 Mhz available in Zeus, but on safeside...1100 is preferrable of most users and is recommended.
In view of voltage (0) default is good.
InteractiveX is the latest and gives better battery backup..

For me,Best overclock is 1300MHz(you can put 1350 if you'd like)governor is smartass v2 and i/o scheduler is deadline. That is good enough for gaming and other stuff. For undervolt,go as" under" as you want

After studying on all Sources, Undervolting renders little or no use to saving power. It also reduces your performance. Take note.

You can't OC that much without pushing voltage up aswel.

Push it up one unit at a time until it reaches a stable point (Just watch out for heat) . It's better to leave it at 1.2Ghz since I don't think you'll experience any lag at 1.2.
I put it up to 1350Mhz and voltage on the maximum of 5 and so far it's been really smooth without restarting. I'm not too worried about heat as my old Motorola Defy would get to about 60 degrees Celsius and I just played a couple of games and my phone is sitting around 30-40 degrees Celsius
