[ROM] Ho Enhancement - Stock/CM7 Multi-codec Video Playback Support ROM

This called Ho Enhancement support multi-codec video playback ability to stock and CM7. You can play any video formats on any video containers.
If you have a video that unwatchable on this rom, please let me know about details of the video so that I can let the developer fix that.

Instruction
1. Download zip file
2. Complete wipe
3. Flash zip file
4. Install HoPlayer NS from market
5. Put any video files to your Nexus S and Enjoy with HoPlayer!

edit ho player some settings are in different language but i do have MKV with hardware encoding and audio

is this a full rom, can you use the ho's player without flashing the rom, i want to keep the official rom.

That is what I really want, so I asked to the developer but he didn't answer back.
I have no idea if *genius* developers here can port this to their rom.

Plays allot of video fine but player needs work not many options and everything it stretched out on allot of video with different aspect ratio and cant adjust
also video player is spammed with ads even with adfree but they only show in options not when watching video

Yeah, I agree. Someone pointed out that already on official website.

I tried flashing Netarchy's kernel for CM7 over this and it worked fine but if someone could like combine this ROM with CM7 then that would be win.

[Q] Why the Flash Player (ARMv6) doesn't work?

Ok, so yesterday i found something about this "hacked" version of Adobe Flash Player so i decided to install it (install apk, reboot) but it doesn't work. I'v upgraded my Android to 2.3.4 hoping that way works, but guess what... still doesen't work.
P.S. I tryed with default and Dolphin browser

It's because the processor itself didn't built to be able to run Flash.

This I a tutorial on how to enable flash player in our phones
1.FIRST OPEN THE INBOUND ANDROID BROWSER
2.CLICK THE MENU BUTTON
3.SELECT THE MORE OPTION
4.FROM MORE OPTION GO TO SETTINGS
5.IN SETTINGS OPTION search for "Enable PLUG-INS"
6.thick the alwayse allowe option
7.you are done open any flash page (I recommended you to open flash page first inspire of video)

Flash player actually works.... That is you can play .swf animations and games using swf player or FLashbox Game Pro or any other similar apps. But, what I noticed is it is unable to render the graphics from the web... I tried playing a flash game and I didn't see anything (i think i heard the sound, not so sure, though)... But it may also be due to my very poor connection It is worth a try by yourself though
Overall flash works very well now and if you have some flash animation you can at least view them offline...

Flash works pretty fine so, don't complain about it. WHat i noticed though is --there is some lag while playing flash animations and games online because of our hardware (and might be due to my slow connection too) but you can play swf files locally with the help of swf flash player...

It dun work on Stock ROM. I have installed it on my rooted Galaxy Mini with CM7 ROM, it works quite well.

I think u r rite coz it is not working on stock rom...

[Q] problem with mp4 videos

hey every body now i have upgraded my mini to gingerbread throw Samsung kies after upgrading all mp4 videos seems to be laggy and sound don't play well ... when i changed the memory card it works * so i bought a new one * but seems not working too .. * my friends memory works well * so i take it and formatted it but it then won't work too ... .. i go to samsung and told them the problem they changed the board but nothing changed... do any one here know what i have to do to fix that issues ??

Use 3rd party apps for playing videos.. mx video player, mobo player, etc..

moboplayer is good it can play almost all type of files including divx, flv, mkv etc

i will try the videos with the prog .. >> is there any way to fix that ?? i mean the broken files ?

yes it was working v.well before i update the firmware from samsung kies now its not

as i understood the mp4 files were there on your sd card when you're upgrading to gingerbred, so maybe those files got corrupted.
in this case, download another mp4 file and try to play it, if it goes well, it mean's the problem is not related to firmware.

i tried that .. with the same videos that were working well ..
also i tried to attach the head phone ..
it still lags

when i take my friends Memory * in it his files with nokia files ..* the videos back to work well ! !

Just a little lag in it too :S :S

Hmm...try reflashing the firmware using odin.... Its much safer nd mine is perfect with it.... Well my device lags wen it plays hd videos usin mobo player

Which Version Should i flash .. i can flash any version or i should only flash EGYPT Version ??
I heard From Some One That After Flashing Market Will Not Work Is That Right ??

Well.... Use the official egyptian firmware nd flash with odin.... Nd remember b very careful about the steps cuz otherwise ur phone could get bricked... Nd if tat happens... Dude... U wont b happy!!! Well rooting voids warrenty... But its worth it....k... My phones rooted , installed clockwork recovery nd usin cyanogenmod 7.2 nd i havnt had a problem for a long tym...!!

I have a problem with video playback on CM10. I'm able to record in 720p but not able to play. Even lower resolution videos won't play.

i having the same problem as you, i slove it by changing the kernel to Mackay 0.53. not sure what kernel you use.

Hi!
Most of the time I use gallery to browse my photos and videos. Videos don't work either from gallery, ES File Explorer, MX Player and QuickPic. Same result as I open them directly from apps.

I figured that this is a kernel related problem. On stock I'm able to play videos. Semaphore and Devil have problems on CM10. I'm about to try SlimJB and see if it is better.
