cm9 wont play the same movie formats as stock gingerbread - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

has there been anything developed that will add the stock GB playback drivers back to the note so that the same video files will still play on cm9?

Are the devs going to release the source? I don't want to flash a ROM just for video codecs....

That is what I really want, so I asked to the developer but he didn't answer back.
I have no idea if *genius* developers here can port this to their rom.
Plays allot of video fine but player needs work not many options and everything it stretched out on allot of video with different aspect ratio and cant adjust
also video player is spammed with ads even with adfree but they only show in options not when watching video

Yeah, I agree. Someone pointed out that already on official website.
I tried flashing Netarchy's kernel for CM7 over this and it worked fine but if someone could like combine this ROM with CM7 then that would be win.

This would be awesome if it can be ported.
Apk is available on the market: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052318&page=2
Of course, you need the custom rom to use it effectively.
The developer released CM7 7.0.1 + Ho enhancement: http://www.androidtab.kr/?mid=Forum_NexusS_Resources&document_srl=1357

Ok why would ho player require access "service that cost you money" directly call numbers
Kind of shady because it has ads also even with adfree working

[Q] Why the Flash Player (ARMv6) doesn't work?

Ok, so yesterday i found something about this "hacked" version of Adobe Flash Player so i decided to install it (install apk, reboot) but it doesn't work. I'v upgraded my Android to 2.3.4 hoping that way works, but guess what... still doesen't work.
P.S. I tryed with default and Dolphin browser
Sorry for my bad english (Romanian)
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 (S5570SERKPK)
It's because the processor itself didn't built to be able to run Flash.

Flash player actually works.... That is you can play .swf animations and games using swf player or FLashbox Game Pro or any other similar apps. But, what I noticed is it is unable to render the graphics from the web... I tried playing a flash game and I didn't see anything (i think i heard the sound, not so sure, though)... But it may also be due to my very poor connection It is worth a try by yourself though
Overall flash works very well now and if you have some flash animation you can at least view them offline...
# anuneanu yes that thread
# debsattam that option was enabled, but still doesen't work, i'v tryed with a video but the error was "Cannot play video (Sorry, this video cannot be played)"
# overall for me the flash didn't worked
Does enyone have any ideas??? maybe a NOOB steb by step tut :|,
L.E.: Do i need to root my phone, to make the flash player work???

Flash works pretty fine so, don't complain about it. WHat i noticed though is --there is some lag while playing flash animations and games online because of our hardware (and might be due to my slow connection too) but you can play swf files locally with the help of swf flash player...
#sohot Doesn't work :O... wtf it's going on with this ****ty phone :|

I have this problem too. I downloaded and still using 'QQPLayer' and it works smooth as cake...
The problem was that soft decoder was activated in mobo player.

BTW ... i can play full 700MB - 352/640 movies without lag !
Cool.. would definitely try this tweak.. !!!
It's very nice to watch full .avi movies on my Ace

Hi!
Most of the time I use gallery to browse my photos and videos. Videos don't work either from gallery, ES File Explorer, MX Player and QuickPic. Same result as I open them directly from apps.

I figured that this is a kernel related problem. On stock I'm able to play videos. Semaphore and Devil have problems on CM10. I'm about to try SlimJB and see if it is better.
Thanks for your suggestion

1- What is the available internal memory in the 8 GB version?
2-Does it support mkv videos in stock player?
3-Can it play this video sample in stock player (hardware decoding) ?

i mean memory available for apps and sdcard (internal storage)
and i wanna be sure that s3 mini can play mkv videos in stock player because gsmarena said in their review that mkv videos aren't recognized and also the above sample because the cpu isn't enough to play it smoothly in sw decoding
thanks
Use MX player, download from Google Play store it plays MKV files.
