[Q] Acer Liquid E Ferrari - Liquid S100 General

Can I flash ROMs for Acer S100 on my Liquid E Ferrari? If not, which ROMs can I flash on my phone? XDA doesn't have a seperate forum for my phone.

Hi there
Well the a100 has 256mb ram while u have 512 but MOST roms are compatible. Yeah here we haven't got much about the Acer liquid fam. You should head over to modaco and have a look there

Galaxy mini with ubuntu???

I have a friend running Android 2.3.7 with a HTC Desire and he was running ubuntu on top of this with a lovely interface. Basically a dual boot with both running at same time. Ubuntu only uses 24mb ram apparently too. Any testers on this??? Thanks. Fraser

Won't work for now.... Since if i'm not mistaking the Galaxy Mini doesn't support the loop stuff in the kernel... Actually it's better to ask squadzone . But probably we will need another kernel.
It will work ..bit with give style cm7 or andro-id...I once installed it on my mini but it was slow and I uninstalled it..but it works

Yeah i will ask squaddy. I was aware of the fact that it needs kernel loop thing. Apparently my rom and kernel supports it anyway and it is supported on mini with correct kernel

tried...kernel issues don't make it run properly, plus even if it worked you would have the same problem as all other roms made by them, the data2whatever would screw up like normal causing you to moan and complain.
All EQDKP roms will screw up. i know i have tried 5 versions of his...all the same!
Good luck to those that port it....your wasting your time overall.
If some one wants me to go into intricate details as to why then i can. i didn't port any of these roms after version v4.9 due to these reasons

custom rom for the S5570 can not be used in S5570i and vice versa because there are many differences between the two models in terms of software and hardware.
Check gsmarena..u will get alot

LoL you can get stable version of Cm7.2 for mini and dont ever think stable version of CM for mini plus..
But still their are lots of difference between this devices.. Just a small tip flash a good stable custom rom on mini plus you'll save battery alot as compare to stock rom

There is cm9 but wifi camera and sound ia not working, they are trying to fix that

There is no JB because of the missing upgrade by HTC..
And CM and all other AOSP projects aren't possible because of the missing ath6kl_sdio.ko code. But you can spam HTC. Maybe we get it..

Do some ducking research

Jelly Bean
HTC said the minimum requirements for jellybean was more than 512mb ram so we dont have enough ram apparently. But dont forget custom roms.
xperia E and J
samsung mini 2 ,ace+,young
these have 512mb of ram and have jelly bean
We know, and it's not a valid excuse. You don't need to bring old news, bro

was replying to shad0wpanda (forgot the quote)
anyway by the looks of their sales, htc is in a bad place so thinking about the desire c would be on the bottom of their list(imo).
but hey,what can you do...
you can actually do something, email HTC to release the full source code so our devs can port Jelly Bean
i know, but it seems they are not willing to release it...at least for now.
Yes, you are right, you can send them a mail when they released it LOL
