Nothing to worry, just go in download mode and flash value pack or any stock rom using odin.

where
well I downloaded and flashed CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVK-v3.1-CWM3RFS.tar using odin now it seemes to be stuck on the Galaxy S boot animation
Btw what you were doing when you got that screen.
-----Sent using RemICS-i9000-----
you need to first flash stock rom, try searching for value pack i9000 in google and you will get the links
-----Sent using RemICS-i9000-----
Reinstall stock ROM.
If you want to root, make sure you flash right kernel. i.e., for a jvq ROM, flash jvq kernel.
Also, dont flash cwm kernels via odin!

Odin gets stuck when trying to flash JV1....
Gladly I can still use download mode so I'm able to restore my galaxy s....
But I really want to install gingerbread... any ideas on how to install it?
I uploaded an image of the part where the flashing gets stuck... in the image iim using pit 512 but I have also tried with 803 and I get the same result... after odin fails I can disconnect my galaxy s... and boot into download mode again
Have you tried to download odin 1.3 maybe this one is corrupted. Try to restart pc, run odin, put all files, connect the device.

And it didn't work either =/
I was also stuck and i flashed darky's odin rom. Than i have flashed stock gingerbread, flashed 2.2 speedmod kernel and finally i have flashed ultibread via cwm.......so try flashing other rom

Sadly that didn't work either... D:
I'm downloading the JV1 rom directly from samfirmware and if ir doesn't work again I'll try flashing from another computer =)
Well now that JVK has been released I tried flashing that too...
And I can't
It's really weird the bootloaders just don't seem to want to get into my phone x3
I tried using odin and heimdall using the version with the safe bootloaders and it never flashed completely.
Gladly my phone hasn't been bricked... maybe it's because odin and heimdall don't ever get close to flashing the bootloader?
Anyway... I have a mexican galaxy s... I think the name of the model is I9000T
Can someone help?
Hello,
I just bought and received a tmobile 16 gb tab today off of ebay. Im not new to android. I have a droid pro and tmobile g2x. Both have cwm and able to replace factory recovery with cwm.
The tab is already rooted via superoneclick, chainfire's patch been applied.
I tried searching for cwm permanent for the tab but seem to not find a clear cut process to get a cwm recovery. Can anyone please point me in the right direction. My tab is currently running 2.2 foyo. I already know since the tab has different version and is available for many carriers, that roms are very different

If you have a gsm version, you can flash the overcome rom, it has cwm built in. Look at the overcome site or thread for instruction.
Yeah I just read through it.
So I can go ahead and load overcome via odin? Wheres stock 2.2 firmware just incase it soft bricks?
Its a gsm tab but I only use it over wifi
And should download jupiter nowipe or wipe version?

thank you very much, im downloading the stock safe v5 gingerbread from their site
what happens if i want to flash the cm7 testing rom or another rom in the forum? would cwm disappear?
or is it in essence perm. cwm even if i switch roms
so i followed instructions to the T and odin tool saying fail so i guess it has been bricked
im re-trying again
do i select re-partition?? because odin tool is doing nothing after retrying
have you checked your bootloader as tell in the tutorial ?
It fails at which step ? Is your bootloader locked or unlocked ? Did you put it in download mode ?
Thanks for the concerns, i ended up fixing the issue
Let it die and tested to see if it even charged when i connected it to power outlet. With stroke of luck, got it back to dl mode and now running overcome
If i flash a different rom will overcome kernel will still be on my tab? So i can keep cmw on it?
Sent from Galaxy Tab 7" W/ Overcome Rom
If you flash via cwm, you will still have cwm.
Cool thanks. So it will keep the kernel unless I flash a new one via odin
Ima try flash cm7 build via cwm
Sent from Galaxy Tab 7" W/ Overcome Rom
Beware not all zip files are flashable with cwm. If it's not specified, don't do it or you will brick your tab.

If you are going to try cm7 its best to flash stock safe gingerbread again, and flash cm7 through hiedmal rather than cwm

I just get replacement phone from Samsung
FW : 2.2
Baseband I897UCKB2
Build # : froyo.uckb2
I use Heimdall to restore back, noticed that is ROOTED e
install ROM MANAGER, and flush it with samsung captivate.
Now when I do the recovery and choose reinstall, to get to cwm menu, it is failing with some kind of signature error message.
please help
Easiest way is get sgs kernel flasher from market. Download a kernel with it baked in and flash it via kernel flasher. I use one of existz's kernel. Most modified kernels fix the 3e error.

that screen is becuase that is a gingerbread kernel, so gingerbread bootloaders are required for cwm to function.
either use heimdall to flash gingerbread boots, or flash a froyo kernel like speedmod...
There's a problem that I've came on while downgrading to stock 2.3.3 from MIUI 1.11.11 2.3.7 with CWM. I've wiped partillion chache and dalvik chache, installed rom XWJVH (it went correctly) rebooted, it stuck on booting screen. Restarted into download mode tried to install another kernel (cf-root 3.2 because it worked in past) and got fail in Odin.
Is my phone fully bricked? 'Cuz I can't get into CWM anymore.
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!
If u can get into download mode, you will be fine. Just flash a full stock rom with odin.
If u still have no joy, flash eclair jm9 (from samfirmware.com), it will resurrect most fxxk ups.

Ok, let's try but on other combinations Odin said connecting after starting a process (tried 1.3, 1.7, 1.8 versions to flash 2.3.3 and 2.3.5, none worked) but whar if it will not work? What next, because on recovery it gives "black screen of death" as said in this topic:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Series
But at least download mode works.
P.S. I get modem and code files in jm9 download, which to put in pda? csc?
Is odin detecting your phone, yellow light?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
yes it detected.
AND YES its going now, I've put pit file in and it is working now!!!!!!!
PASSED in odin, booting up........ boot logo......... please boot up!
something wrong, boot logo loop.
flashed cf-root 4.3 and I hope for the best.
P.S. nooooooooo, boot loop again
P.P.S. thank you anyway, at least boot loop is easier to work on.
Have you tried jm9 yet?

I am a little bit confused, and you too...
To bring back to life your phone you have flashed jm9, eclaire....ok.
But why have you flashed a CF-root 4.3?
It's for JVS gingerbread rom.
Edit: If your 3 keys combo still works, try to flash a stock 2.3.x
If the problems happen while using MIUI, better you select eclair rom first. Then you can upgrade to GB that have bootloader.
From MIUI directly to gingerbread will have fuzzy screen problem.
To some this might sound stupid but I kind of 'Intentionally' deleted absolutely EVERHTING from my phone with CWM. I am really a noob at this stuff, i've been looking for threads explaining a fix (if there is one) but I haven't found anything. In case you're wondering, I deleted everything because I tried to flash a new rom and it just stayed with the one I was using previously, please help me out here.
When I turn on my Captivate it just stays on the AT&T boot screen.
ALSO: I can't go into CWM recovery, what can I do? Please help!
Simply flash an appropriate kernel through Heimdall/Odin. It's no big deal.

Ok, how do I know what the appropriate kernel is and how do I flash it?
As I said, I'm a noob at this stuff
EDIT: Ok so i've found a kernel and flashed it. The phone boots up but stays at a "Galaxy S SGH-i897" screen and it says samsung on the bottom, but that's it. I've tried flashing one of those one click odin from this thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1300843 but it stays at "setup connection" please help me out here, haha.

I mean an appropriate kernel depending on your current ROM, i.e. if you're on Gingerbread, flash corn, if ICS, flash semaphore.
And yeah the phone isn't going to boot past there because you wiped /system probably. Either flash a ROM through CWM or Odin.

Well thanks guys! I finally got it working. I ended up flashing a stock GB rom that i got from that thread. Since Odin didnt work ( ) i used Heimdall to flash gb 2.3.4
Thanks for the help!
