Just installed paranoid android from 0.3 to 0.4 all was well but now my sd card shows as internal storage my internal storage seems split between a 11gb more options partition and another 2gb internal partition where my apps go. I cant access my sd card at all on my phone but it shows in setting... Any ideas guys??
I thought there is only a 0.3 version of paranoid? where did you get 0.4?
Sorry, it is 0.3.. Came from 0.2..
it seems to be a bug in paranoid 0.3 alot of people have it..

alright guys, I have miui on my Nexus one and was having no problems up until tonight. I started with 21 mb of internal storage, and suddenly my phone had a pop up asking if I wanted to "export my data to my SD card" it then went on to explain it would move pictures, screenshots, data, etc from my internal storage, to my SD card. And I thought, awesome, now I'll have more space. But now I'm down to 11 mb of internal storage, and keep getting an low memory error. My SD card has plenty of space, 3.6 gb left. This low memory issue is driving me insane, and I don't understand how I ended up LOSING internal storage when I thought I would gain it. Can someone please help me out?
You're running MIUI, I guess - I don't remember this message on any other ROM.
And you probably don't have A2SD running - because otherwise you wouldn't be left without memory.
Reboot the phone, it'll probably restore you back to 21MB of free space. Then read up on A2SD, partition your SD card and enable A2SD.
Anyone used the V to backup and restore using CWM 6.0.1.2.
When doing mine, it reduced my internal memory to 3.7 GB rather than keeping it at 8GB.
Any ideas how ti get it back to the correct size?
Regards
Does anyone know how to completely delete partitions on the internal SD using adb or something?
I just want the full amount of memory to be visible again
Cheers
My internal storage got corrupted some time ago, wiping internal sdcard in recovery did solve my problem..
Why would you like to do it in adb?
I used CWM to create a backup, when it was 'freeing up space' it resized my internal SD card to 3.71 GB (used to be 8GB).
Ive tried a format in recovery already, but the size does not change, i want to know if there is a way to look at / manage the internal SD card partitions to see what CWM has done, and then format or restore it from there.
Cheers
.. Ok so u can't fill up your internal sdcard above 3.7gb right?
idk much about partitions..
But what if u mount the internal storage as MSC mode (instead of MTP?)
Correct, the internal card is just not showing the right available space.
I have not found a way to mount the internal SD card as MSC yet, been looking, so i could possibly then use mini partition tool on it.
I remember Doomload had a way for the Xperia S, could check to see if it works for the V.
i´m not sure but i have read somewhere that only 3,7 Gb is user available
http://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?e=1398673
that´s in swedish can be difficult to understand but there is stated about it, i dunno if it is correct
Hmmm, i actually never noticed that, could be right all along then.. thanks for that, ill have a scout round to confirm if thats the case. Seems strange, why would 4GB be required on an SD card. Either way, at least i know it's ok now, haha.
Regards
[EDIT]
Confirmed, 3.7 available

So, I've ran into an issue with my i9000 which I can't fix on my own..
Currently I'm using Cyanogenmod 10.0 and the partitioning is as usual:
-1.46gb Internal Storage
-5.78gb "USB storage"
Now, I've reinstalled CM10 because of some recent force closes, (wiped data, wiped cache and dalvik cache), and installed a bunch of apps, most of which are games for my son, but now the phone says, it's frequently running out of space, which is kind of obvious, because both partitions are almost full.
The problem is thou, I cannon move any app to the external sd card, so I could free up some space on the internal memory..
I can move them from "phone" memory to "sd card" (which is also internal memory, just a different partition), but because of the stupid partitioning, I can't use my external sd card for apps.
But the thing is, before I moved on to CM10, I've used Darky's Rom, and apps could be installed on the external card just fine...
So, my question now is:
Is it possible to "merge" the internal storage and usb storage into one partition (so that basically I'd have 7,24gb of internal storage), and only have one sd card (not one "fictional" and one external)?
Another thing, not so important thou.. Where can you set the default storage for pictures being taken with the camera?
Hey,
Jelly Bean doesn't let you move apps into SD storage. That being said there should be some apps that allow you to do that.
Merging the internal and external storage I'm not quite sure of.
And in the camera, go into camera settings, it should be there.

Hi folks,
I am a new android user. I have Galaxy Note 1 and it is not rooted.
Here're the specs of my phone:
Model GT-N7000
Android v4.1.2
Kernel v 3.0.31-906407
[email protected] #3
It has a 16 GB external SD card + default internal USB storage. It was working fine till a few hours back. Then Gallery stopped opening and Camera wouldn't start either. There is nothing shown in MyFiles folder. I have checked using ES File Explorer as well and no data is shown in the directories.
External SD card is working fine. But Internal USB card does not get mounted. There is > 500 mb in internal memory. I've moved most of the apps to SD card and removed unnecessary ones.
Here's the break up of 'Storage':
Device memory
Total Space - 1.97 GB
Applications - 749MB
Available space - 560MB
USB storage
Applications - 158MB
SD card
Total space - 14.83 GB
Available space - 2.18 GB
I have cleared Gallery app - cache, rebooted but it doesn't change.
Also, I noticed that when I am trying to back up messages, it waits for external storage card. The card is inserted and mounted but the phone has stopped seeing it as active. I can mount the external SD card on my notebook though.
Can anyone please help. I am starting to get worried

If u didn't root and u didn't drop/smash your phone, it would be a software issue. You'll have to flash stock ROM via ODIN. If u did drop your phone, it could be a hardware issue and you'll have to bring it to a Samsung Service Centre.
P.S. try taking out your external sd-card, reboot and check if the problem persists.
Merry Christmas!
Smack that thanks button If I helped!
Always make a nandroid backup before trying anything risky.

I obviously have space aplenty (otherwise I would not have posted): more than 1.5 GB phone memory, almost 4GB internal SD, 8GB external SD.
I was ok with stock 2.3.6, now with CM7.2 (2.3.7) I'm getting those warnings having restored the backup of roughly 1/3 of the apps I had before!
What's going on here?
Thx in advance.
Edit: /datadata partition was full (guess a backported funcionality from ICS?), solved with this script:

Why 4.0.4?
Why are you on 4.0.4? There are more ROMs out there with better performance. Try OmniROM 4.4.2. And yeah, You did move your apps to your SD card right? If your SD card is full, you will have to buy a new SD card and start with that. But, The Internal SD Card is at higher priority over the External one. So, find another vold.fstab file for your phone, which helps change this priority.
Hit Thanks if it helped!
