Hey guys, so i have a SGN N7000, i was wondering if there is anyway for it to run on mobilicty here in Toronto. I initially thought it wasn't possible until i came across someone saying something about being able to flash an AWS compatible antenna to the phone, and that its on here.
I am a bit of a noob at this, so i have no idea where to start and how, could someone kindly give me a quick run through of what needs to be done.
Thanks.

Maybe it is old news already but this is what I saw on a Dutch website and I'm happy: SGS I9000 gets update to Gingerbread!!!!!
You can find the news on Tweakers.net
Can anybody confirm?
Couldn't you use question marks (?) instead of exclamation marks (!) since your asking a question?
To answer you question, Samsung are sending mixed signals much like LG. Samsung are most likely looking at the cost/benefit of upgrading the Galaxy S. Obviously, the Galaxy S is more than capable of running Gingerbread.

Not sure you can use the same modem for your device too.I have done flashing captivate modem on my international sgs it worked fine.Dint try that in note. But I say please dont try because note is not unbrickable like sgs.Regarding the development its not that easy to do that. And even it would take few months to even few years depending on your understanding capabilities.Though I'm not a full developer I make my own roms for my sgs so I know it to some extend

I had the same curiosity as you because I really wanted the Note for T-Mobile. From my understanding, the reason phone makers that make identical phones internationally and then make the same phones in the united states but choose a different CPU is because the SOC have the frequencies that support the country. I.e. Tegra 3 vs S4 Qualcomm and Exynos vs S3 Snapdragon (the latter for the US)
I would be really interested to know if someone has successfully flashed a radio for the Samsung Galaxy Note I7000 international version for T-MOBILE.
So it would not be possible to flash the i7000 radio to our notes, correct?

Hey guys, i'm leaving tomorrow to another country where i will have trouble with internet so i'm trying to solve this tonight!
I just bought a galaxy tab with android 2.2. It's the GSM model and i really need to update my tab to android 4 to get all the apps working, i've no trouble if GSM function gets disabled on android 4, i only need wireless camera and a stable ROM.
Please please please post me some links so i can get this to work tonight!

Hey everyone,
Just picked up a AT&T note 3 here in Ireland. Phone is practically new but I have straight away noticed some problems.
First of all how can people live with the phone been destroyed by bloatware and all that other stuff..
So I'm looking to see if it's possible for me to root it and flash a standard samsung image?
I see kitkat update is available but when I check for updates it says there is none, is something blocking me receiving the update here in Ireland?
I'm having the gps problem and hope it's not a hardware problem, is there a fix that allows it to lock on to satelites instead of constantly searching for GPS??
Thanks in advance..

It might help if you gave a little more information and also searched. As for information, what ROM does your phone currently have? Are you sure its an AT&T Note and not an international note? What chipset do you have? You may be in the wrong forum as the international note has its own forum and flashing from one to the other can and will cause bad things to happen.
If you are on an AT&T note, there is a 4.4.2 update that only recently was able to be rooted. There are bootloader issues, so if you are on an older ROM, you might not want to update.
In addition, searching might help quite a bit as well. For example, there is a thread on the first page discussing the GPS issues with several suggested fixes. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612757)
There are also people who say the 4.4.2 update fixed the GPS issues and those who say it didn't. As for debloating, there are several threads talking about apps to freeze (using Titanium if you are rooted) as well as a thread from Walter.white that lists an extensive amount of programs and files to delete.
That's the long answer. The short answer is read and search and then ask questions giving as much information about your software and circumstances as possible. The likelihood of getting an answer is much greater that way.
Congratulations on getting the best phone out there!

First of all thank you for taking the time to reply with as much info as possible.
It is a at&t phone because it boots up with the at&t logo and I have checked the code ect. I have attached a screen shot with some details if you don't mind having a look. I have successfully rooted the phone and installed supersu so I should be at the stage to flash roms? If I had the international version I don't think I would be asking so many questions as I would just go ahead and do it.
I just don't want to make a mistake as I'm not sure what exactly is the difference between at&t versions of phones. Is the hardware different?
Thanks again
Hello,
I made the mistake of buying a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini from AT&T (G800AUCU1AOD5). I understand it is harder to root the ATT device, but I was wondering whether it would be possible at all. I would be happy to contribute to the effort because I have a brick in my hands...
Thanks,
fabrizio
I would love to know how to root it to. I hope someone would help us.
My fiance has one too and it's dog slow. What sucks is I'm SURE it's because of the crappy stock ROM. Something like Bliss Pop or Cyanogenmod would really make this a killer phone.
I really would like to at least Root this phone so I can freeze some Apps.
Searched for ROMs everywhere with no luck.
For that you do not need root. Check this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2998294
