I'm on AOSP (paranoidandroid CM9) in tablet mode, and what I find most annoying is the notification bar...to access the toggles you have to click one time to make the notifications appear, and a second time to access the toggles...is there a way to make the whole thing appear with one touch ?
Using stock AOSP - there is no way to do this. You need 3rd party mods.
Thanks for the answer..I don't know how the guys at google thought it would be a good idea to do it this way.

True, especially that it's a tablet UI which means...lots of space on the screen.

Hi Guys,
I have a question about the following ROM
[ROM][4.1.1] [2.0.0 Rev1] Remics-JB (Team RemICS) *V2 IS ONLINE
Really happy with the performance, i just upgraded from RemICS-UX v1.3.1 and one amzing feature that I can't seem to activate is the notification lights on the bottom two buttons, the lights switch on when i have a missed call, sms, etc... any suggestions?
The second thing is a lot of people are having trouble to have multipule langauges ( such as Arabic) to display, I found the following thread as a suitable solution.

I suggest asking the developers in the rom thread

LED notification won't work. If you want BLN (I think that's what you mean) flash the Devil Kernel! See XYUnknown's post

Because of the lack of space, it may be necessary to move some apps to the external sd card. On reboot, the icons will turn into green android men in the apps list and disappear from the home screen and bottom drawer.
The tw launcher is somewhat 'flaky', so it will probably be better to download Nova launcher (or Apex or Go...). I've just installed Nova launcher because tw took a nasty turn for the worse this morning. Everything is now fine - though the ui is a little strange at first. One advantage is that Nova presents the app list in alphabetical order - not higgledy piggledy. The settings too can be saved prior to any flashing.
All I really want is to enable my back button to serve as a menu button so I can get rid of the black bar. If I could add some settings toggles to the notification shade too, great, if not Power Toggles is working just fine. I like Sense 5, don't want to get rid of it. I don't want a heavily modded rom. Just want something as fast and stable as complete stock with the ability to add the tweaks mentioned above. I searched around and couldn't really find the answer, so if anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be great.

I have no problems waiting. I always have a hard time finding what I'm looking for on XDA so I wasn't sure if it was just me being a derp about the search or if it really wasn't out yet.

Thanks to you both.
I searched and found some answers for tablets but not the atrix hd.
Anyone use a particular program to hide the menu/status bar on the bottom of screen? It would be nice to have a full screen when gaming or video etc.. perhaps something that just hides and then reappears when you slide side screen or something.
Any custom ROMS that have this built in?
THX
This is Paranoid Android, a custom ROM. I believe this what you're looking for. In the second screenshot, the notification center is replaced with those lines, swiping all the way to the right shows notifications, while swping all the way to the left shows quick settings. Anymore help let me know

PAC, Paranoid, and CM all have that feature....in fact, any rom with PIE has that option. Its called Expanded Desktop. There are also apps on the market that have that feature as well, but I gotta recommend just using a rom with that feature built in.
Thanks Guys.. Will check them out
If you're using stock android.
Use GMD gesture or fullscreen!

Hey all ....
I am having some extremely frustrating problems with Widget Locker Lockscreen here on my HTC One.
First, I can't seem to get the homehelper to work correctly as it doesn't even look like its saving my settings when I switch launchers or anything for testing. I don't need a PIN or security on my phone as deep as setting that, I just don't want the home button to take me to the home screen when on the lockscreen. GO locker did this beautifully for me, and didn't have the second issue below.
Second, when it does work for like 10 seconds, I get an annoying flicker of it trying to paint the homescreen then going back to the lockscreen.
Anyone else experiencing any of these issues or know how to fix them? I have emailed the created of WL a couple of times stating the problems I was having within the app and got nothing back, so its time to ask the XDA Community.
Thanks
I experienced the same problems as you. It was an amazing app when it was on my Nexus one, still is used. But on the Htc One its pretty lackluster. I know I have nothing to contribute but I just uninstalled it...

Your HTC One is running ARHD as well (well from your signature it says it is) ... I am on 11.5.
Can someone on a different ROM check to see if they are having these issues as well? I know a lot of people are using the app so someone on a different ROM shouldnt be hard to find

Hey, I'm on fully converted GE. I use nova/widgetlocker religiously. Unfortunately, I have the same problems when I try to use homehelper. Its like an inefficient workaround, shows the "redraw" of home but tries to maintain WL. This isn't a working solution. I've disabled it and for the time being, I've just tried to ignore the home button while lock screen. Its always just power button or swipe (if i'm using custom kernel) then unlock using lockscreen. I've looked for other lockscreen alternatives but in terms of features, nothing compares to WL. I hope the devs bring out an update in the near future to address these issues.

Awesome. Thanks for the update. I have been extremely frustrated with this app but nothing compares to the customizing that can be done with it. Lets hope for a speedy update to fix this or hopefully the devs actually come on XDA and see this thread starting and address it
I was able to get rid of the flicker by turning on "HomeHelper ondemand via root" in Advanced > Root Helper (in addition to enabling HopeHelper). I'm currently on TrickDroid 8.00 and WidgetLocker 2.4beta8.

Turned on HomeHelper ondemand via root .... it stopped the home button bypass of the lockscreen but I still have the flicker
Crazy observation ....
I cleared all my settings, defaults, etc this morning before I posted about the homehelper with root .... and still had the flicker
Just playing around with my phone now I changed my lockscreen to have an alternate background from my home screen .... no more flicker on my device ...
Do you guys have alternate backgrounds? If not, can you try switch to one and see if you still get the flicker?

TrickDroid, as posted above, seems to not have any issues either. Is there anyone else on TrickDroid or ViperRom that has had issues?
I can't see why it would be limited to ARHD and GE Roms on the One, but since I don't know much about how these are put together, I guess anything is possible.
Also to note, after my change yesterday, I haven't had an issue since.
just installed app again after update. works like a charm and the dashclock is in "fullscreen" unlike when it was on the sense lockscreen!

any news?
do you guys know any way to use the default lockscreen when you get a call?
the only two possibilities that I found is to either have no lockscreen or you don't see who's calling you (because you need to unlock widget locker first) - both not ideal if you ask me

Well I dunno about you. But I am not having any issue for when someone calls me. but then again I didn't put any sort of security on my phone.
I just have Widget Locker Lockscreen enabled. someone calls me goes straight to answer/decline for me
Using default lockscreen, there is this cool feature (widget?) that shows controls and info of music that is currently playing, no matter what is the player you are using (I use both Spotify and Poweramp). Is there similar widget available that could be used with Widget Locker? I have found some that has support for Poweramp, but for spotify none. I'd rather not add both player's own widget to Widget Locker, it would be just spending space (and Spotify's widget is quite ugly).

me too, but that's the problem: you don't have to swipe up to answer or decline the call, the phone is unlocked so you only have to tap answer or decline... this may cause you to accept/decline calls by accident
I would like to have the default incoming call screen where you have to swipe up to accept the call together with widget locker, but I didn't find a way yet to achieve that

Hi all! I was planning on waiting for the official release of 6.0, but my Nexus 6 hasn't been wiped in over half a year and is starting to get laggy.
Before I flash M Preview 3, I was wondering if the following functionality that I usually achieve through MCR Control on 5.1 was available in any way on M Preview (via mods, etc):
Reverse position of Back and Multitask buttons on nav bar
Double tap to wake screen
Show percentage inside battery icon in status bar
Add reboot button in notification shade
Enable LED while charging
The most important thing in the list for me is probably swapping the position of the Back and Multitask buttons, since this greatly increased the ease of using the Nexus 6 one-handed for me (and my muscle memory grew accustomed to it long ago). The rest of these features are nice-to-haves, but the Back button being on the left in stock is a significant enough change to potentially hold me back until someone mods it. Anybody know?
Thanks!
no, except batter percent is there.

Thank you so much for the thorough breakdown! It's good to know most of these things can be accomplished.
Hopefully someone can still figure out or provide instructions on how to swap the navigation buttons - in the meantime I'm going to hold off. Guess I did this to myself by letting myself get used to it!
No problem. I guess you can use auto hide soft keys. It allows you to move the buttons on a fake nav bar after hiding the stock one.
Fixed the app name.

Make a full nandroid backup to your PC and flash the M preview and you get quick answer on all your questions.
My experience was as follows:
A. flashing the P3 image is easy, but requires a factory reset.
B. M has the same ugly interface as Lollipop.
C. My GPS navigation app, does not work in M.
D. I did not notice a better performance.
E. I could not change the DPI setting, and has to live with the idiot Google defaults.
F. Customizing M needs still rooting etc.
G. Installing M wiped the internal storage, including backup. ( transfer to PC first )
At this moment I am back to 5.1.1 because two essential apps do not work.
Disappointing is that M still has no special features/settings for phablet devices with hires amoled displays. For instances dpi-settings and g-apps with a black/dark background.
Can anyone running M Preview perhaps check whether SoftKeyZ works on there to swap Back and Multitask? It reportedly works fine on the Nexus 6 with 5.x, but I don't see anyone who's tried it on 6.0 yet.
