[Q] Did I make the right move? Opinions please

I have just finalized a trade with another member in the marketplace. For my iPhone 4, I received a:
- Nexus One, near mint (AT&T)
- 8GB SD Card
- iPhone 3G with dock
....don't hate, I always like a taste of iOS in my life. However, I'm in love with Android....
What do you guys think? Did I make the right move, or was it the stupidest thing you've ever heard? Discuss....
Thanks!
I guess it depends on what you traded?
Wow, that would have been helpful information, huh?
*Edited OP, thanks
Heck ya! Well in my noobish kinda worthless opinion. Two phones for one? Yea!!

Huge dilemma

I am now making enough money to buy any smartphone of my choice on or off contract.
But with that power comes great thought.
I love the nexus line, I just love everything about it. Its the defintion of cool.
I love my iPhone, I love how "everyone" thinks "oh an iPhone" like mindless sheep. It makes me feel like I'm in the inner circle. If that makes sense. But they some how make it feel like its the best and there's nothing else in town. Even though that's complely wrong. Buts that's how it feels.
Nexus vs iPhone is going to be a huge problem for me later in the year. I just wish Android could use emojis and cut trying to make apps for slower phones.

I just don't see this happening (nor do I really see a point to it - I've had tablets with cameras, useless). Anyway, if you really want a camera for your tablet, here:
http://www.looxcie.com/
Small, works over bluetooth, compatible with a bunch of devices, and a reasonable cost (buy once, use for many years). Who knows there may be others out there too, that was the first one I found in a 2 minute google search. >_>
EDIT: Actually now that I think of it this is probably more ideal than having a camera in the device. This way you don't have to look like a tool trying to angle your tablet for a shot, you can just move the little camera around and leave the tablet on the table or whatever as a view finder. Seems a lot more flexible... I might get one to play with...
Yes, thank so much for that, i think your idea about camera out of device is great, same my idea. Because im vietnamess, so this camera it difficult to find and buy it. Ha ha im apprecia about that. Nice to talk to u. Thank

wow, i've never seen such an intuitive design!!! this is gonna be SO useful! thank you so much!!
The tablet can clearly have a camera, all you need to do is find the compatible one, solder it in and hope that the traces are there and that it can be supported in android. Start looking at other asus tablets with rear cameras.
This will be the device that your camera comes from.

[Q] Total n00b question

Sooooooo I have what will more than likely amount to a laughable n00b question: I have a Kindle Fire HD 7" and I'm thinking about rooting. But Why? What are the benefits? I understand the benefits of rooting an iPhone or Wii(which I have done both), but don't know what I stand to gain by rooting my KFHD7. Maybe someone could shed some light on this subject? Thank you in advance.
Unrooted kindle fire hd is like living in communist Russia.
Rooted kindle fire hd is like living in America.
Lol.. Or its all about being able to unlock the possibilities of your device.
Read through these forums to get a real idea of what "root" can do.

Quality response, I actually Spilt a bottle of bud when I read it!!!
Seriously read the forums and your looking to unlock the true potential of the kfhd rather than whatever Amazon want you to use it for.

Replace launcher and Google play store are the huge benefits to root...also the ability to remove updates and advertisements on the lock screen ...other than that it's more tinkering...

Well I'm all for tinkering so I'm going to give it a go. I'll take a look around the website and find out where to start.
..as someone who likes to work on my own stuff, ie: fixing my house and cars as well as building my own PCs, I wasnt diggin' the fact that I didnt have total control over a personal computing device.
Even if I didnt add the Play Store or change my loader, rom etc, I probably would have rooted anyway just to be in control of my Kindle at a higher level.

Bye Nook Community!

Been a lot if fun, but I've found a replacement for my beloved nook! I'm porting a Rom from the kindle fire 2 over before I go, but that's probably going to be it for me. Hope to stop back occasionally to see what's going on. Anyways, I'll really miss all the devs and kangers on the NC forum. Bye!
