[Q] Jelly Bean - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does the Dev's will have to start from scratch again for Jelly Bean(Middle of July)?
Or will it be nearly the same as ICS(Codecs libs etc.)?

I dont think that anyone would bother to port it to x8, and i dont even think that we would get complete working ics coz developers cant port some drivers by them self....

I think it is similar to ICS

I am using GingerCruzt 8.4 that is the most similar to stock rom. Here is the rom thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101691 and here are some screenshots of the rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101691.
P.s. Hit thanks if this helped
To the OP, no, we cant because the hardware of the two phones is completely different.

Help Please...!!

Hi Xda developers and all its users.
I have xperia X8 and i love my phone and using android 2.1 Eclair happily but for so many days i am quite unhappy because of some resons about my phone like
I cant port my apps toy sd card(Main Reason)
Multi touch disability..
So i have just rooted up my phone and install xrecovery 0.1 sucessfully
Now i am bit confused about choosing a rom formy phone..
After reading other threads about same problem some said froyo is better and else said ICS is better..
So guys plz suggest me which rom i should install in my phone which have no bugs and cant be laggy at all...
I can use my phone mostly for gaming, browsing and listening songs.
I like ICS and Jelly beans both..
Is there any custom rom among both of them which i can use....
Please suggest me...
Thank You
Well since you've just install xRecovery i assume you are using stock kernel. So i suggest you to use GingerDX v028b.
You've been joining XDA for about a year now but why did you post your question in Themes & App section. You should post your question in Q&A section. Please read the forum rules!!

As per u all said i installed Gingerdx...but when i reboot my phone the screen stucks at "SONY ERICSSON" logo...
What i do now....??
Install GZR!
your device is on stock kernel so put gingerbread rom/froyo ,its more stable....cause jelly bean and ics are not stable though on custom kernel.

No offense to the op but http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7199177
Searching helps. Now, there is no "best rom". But since you pretty much know what you want, i suggest checkinh out the roms in the dev forums and find out which rom suits you best.

true.
op, there is no best rom. each rom is suited to different tastes/needs. you might get flamed or reported for starting threads like this. there aren't many jb roms for this device, and most of them support the same kernels. try them all out if you wosh, but please don't start another "best rom" thread.
Just because i don't doesn't mean i can't.

I recommend JellyBlur with NAA Kernel.
The fastest JB rom in my opinion.
On second place i think is MiniJB also with NAA Kernel.
The third place is CM10 whick is somehow overloaded and heavy.
I think Simple bean is awesome..

[Q] JB kernel with ICS ROM

Ok, I'm still getting used to Android and it's openness, so I thought I'd ask this question. Could I flash a Jelly Bean kernel under an ICS ROM? I don't think it's possible but being the inquisitive person I am, I thought I'd ask before going too far.
Sent from my LT30p using xda app-developers app
Short answer: no
You could try it as I did when I was curious - you won't brick our phone but it would just freeze during the boot or fall into bootloop

[Q] someone to update xperialised rom?

Can anyone update xperialised rom...It would be good to have it updated to android 4.1.2, also add more xperia look
Doing so would require it to be built from source, with lots of changes merged...
Yeah i know its hard... But its amazing rom
