Android Version Names
Apart from Android 1.0 and 1.1, all other Android versions have been named after sweet treats or desserts. These codenames are chosen alphabetically, and have thus far all been dessert items. Some codenames are associated with more than one version number, while others are limited to only a specific one. The reason for this inconsistency is not currently known. The naming typically appears to correspond to changes in the developer API levels, but this is not always true (example: 3.0 and 3.1 are both “Honeycomb” but they have different API levels). The names of different versions are :-

Android 7.0 version as Nougat. This new Android firmware already released . However, we already have the Android N Developer Preview 4 available for the Nexus devices. It has some stunning features, functionalities, and revamped user interface in terms of notifications, recent apps, app drawer, etc. Unfortunately, it is only available for Nexus series and some Android One and Sony devices. However, an XDA member named Ashomitsu has come up with a stunning Android 7.0 Nougat theme for the CyanogenMod OS. The theme is compatible with CM 12.1 as well as CM 13. That means the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
