Android Version Names - Off-topic
Android Version Names
Apart from Android 1.0 and 1.1, all other Android versions have been named after sweet treats or desserts. These codenames are chosen alphabetically, and have thus far all been dessert items. Some codenames are associated with more than one version number, while others are limited to only a specific one. The reason for this inconsistency is not currently known. The naming typically appears to correspond to changes in the developer API levels, but this is not always true (example: 3.0 and 3.1 are both “Honeycomb” but they have different API levels). The names of different versions are :-
Cupcake:
Android 1.5
Donut:
Android 1.6
Eclair:
Android 2.0
Android 2.1
Froyo: (short for “frozen yogurt”)
Android 2.2
Gingerbread:
Android 2.3
Honeycomb:
Android 3.0
Android 3.1
Android 3.2
Ice Cream Sandwich:
Android 4.0
Jelly Bean:
Android 4.1
Android 4.2
Android 4.3
KitKat:
Android 4.4
Lolipop:
Android 5.0
Android 5.1
Marshmallow
Android 6.0

Android L -> Android 4.5
I think Android L will be Android 4.5 https://twitter.com/Android/status/510835333236539392/photo/1 Look at the time on the watch 4:50 They teased previous android releases with 4:30 , 4:40.
doesnt the L preview have 5.0 as the build number?
Yes it does
I think android wear is 4.5 in the fall and android l will be 5.0 as android wear isn't as mature as android l
Looking at the track of android. Google have the tendencies to change the build number if a major changes were made. For example the changes from ginger bread to honeycomb and then ICS. The version got upgraded from 2 to 3 and then 4 but when jelly bean was release still with holo like ICS they only change the second number to 4.1 4.2 and then kitkat. So its will be pretty much 5.0
5.0 it is.
L at rome number system is 50 so its 5.0 Send from my Nexus 5 with Tapatalk
Who cares, its just a number lol..

Galaxy S Andvanced is on what android right now??
I dont understand what do u mean??
Update for samsung galaxy s advance had stopped , this device is running Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) out of the box but it can be officially updated to Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) , But the developers had made it possible for users to taste the android version KITKAT (4.4)and android version LOLIPOP(5 - 5.1 ) so basically till now the this device has got unofficial updates till LOLIPOP and because of the phone hardware too old and only few dev`s working on this device i don`t see any further update to this device.
