You Can't remove the music control bar on stock i think.

Of course it's deletable.

And as far as I know, you can disable the bar in the settings of the original music player. But if it's deleted, you can only follow the linked tutorial.

Does anyone know why the option to add songs to the favourites by touching the heart symbol beside any song has been removed. i found this a very quick method for this task?
That's one minor issue for me
Hmm, I somewhat have this problem, too. Google Play Music has lock screen controls, but Amazon Music does not. Haven't tried any other of the apps.
I only tried Spotify, I can pull down the notification screen and see a small widget to control but I was hoping to have the full lock screen with the album art
the default music app has lock screen controls. (see attached screenshot)
i checked it with PIN security screen lock & Pattern security screen lock
I have this issue as well. I tested it with Spotify. My finding is that once a notification is "read/view" it will not show up in the lock screen anymore. Once the song finishes and switch to a new song, the notification comes back. If I starts Spotify and stay in the app the notification is available on the lock screen.
I decided to install "next" lock screen by Microsoft while I thinker with modifying the framework and system ui.
I got a Spotify notification widget in my lockscreen (i still wish it was a full screen album artwork) . Go to settings, notification center, notice management and then find Spotify and make it important... I also noticed I changed other apps like Instagram and Fb messenger and other ones were listed as other. So I changed it
If you go into Spotify then go to another app your notification widget will disappear until the next song.
Edit:
If you're rooted you can use my modded SystemUI apk if you use some of the popular music streaming app..

Click to collapse
Dear snipeeeerz,
From what I know, you can't at the central sounds control? But in whatsapp, you can change the notification so that there are no sound. Other apps, you have to check their app config our settings individually.
Some apps use media sound control (games, media players, chimes), some using system notification (messaging apps), some alarm (alarms and chimes), some ringer. So those are the general controls at the central setting - depending on which the apps used. From what I understood of what you want, you want only certain apps too ring/notify you. In that case, I think you'll have to check the settings from the apps.
Regards.
I like the player controls in the notification screen, however I can't swipe them away after I've closed the app. The only way to get rid of them is to disable and re-enable the apps notification. Is there any way to get around this?
Recently Spotify decided to remove their Widget for whatever reason.
Luckily with Tasker you can bring it back! Check it out!
Just import the project from here and follow the instructions at the same link and you’ll have the Spotify widget back in no time!
As a bonus you can click the widget's title to change the app to control, so you can, for example, control both Spotify and Google Play Music with the same widget!
Don't forget to get AutoNotification and enable its Notification Access service (in Tasker > Menu > More > Android Settings > Notification Access > Enable AutoNotification) to get the album art to work.
Enjoy!
Can this be done for a full screen lock screen to change songs, maybe including the background as the album art?
Regards
I just tried to go through your steps and found that the Kustom.zip was corrupt and could not be unzipped. I tried again and got the same result.
Kind Regards
