Can anyone take the white 'Quietly Rooted' splash screen and make a zip, that will fit our screen resolution?
If you can do it and need a link to what I am talking about I will post it.
Thanks, in advance.

If I knew what partition it was on, I'd have a recovery flashable already. My splash screens are already made.

That would be awesome if it worked through recovery. But I can still wait for S-Off.

I'm wondering if we can flash with this method. I thought i seen a post back before we had s-off on the Evo LTE.
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash splash1 name.img
Hmm.. I made custom splashes for evo and evo 3d back in the day with no problems but when using nbimg.exe (1.1) to try to make some for this phone I keep getting file size error and it just exits.. Not sure what to do the file size is definitely bigger than old ones were due to screen size being so much larger but don't wanna reduce the quality anymore or it will look pixelated.. Anyone know what the image file size restrictions are or a different tool for converting to nb/.img? I haven't had much luck googling it so far as all the info is usually older and out dated..
We now have S off!!!!

2 things
This doesn't belong in dev
and No
Well no because with the official htcdev unlock for the HTC One. HTC have allowed write capabilty from recovery to the the boot partition even when you are S-ON.
Weird thing. My original CID was O2__001. I have changed it to 11111111. fastboot getvar all confirmed that my CID has been changed. Bootloader shows it as well. however cid getter still shows my CID as O2__001. Does it mean it hasn't been changed?

Getvar
Did you try getvar? What does it say?
getvar shows supercid. getprop shows original cid.
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Had the same problem but solved it when changed supercid to htc__001 in fastboot mode.. fastboot oem writecid. Then I found I got my ota update.. hope this helps

Unfortunately you will have to use HTC Dev to unlock and root to use rumrunner. I haven't seen any other way but try looking for a way to root without unlocking.

1) The warranty isn't voided by unlocking.
2) You can unlock via HTC Dev then S-OFF using Rumrunner and change everything back to stock if needs be... HTC will never know

They shouldn't but don't take my word for it! I remember reading something like that.
When I had a One X I unlocked it via HTC dev and I could hand it in for warranty. (Wouldn't turn on).
On the other hand rumrunner shouldn't alert HTC that your device has been unlocked.
