No i hv't did it, just using the phone usually, and suddenly the photos gone:crying:
Now i have using recovery tools to rescue my SD card photo and some of them are backed, and i will try to format my sd card, hope this issue will not happen again T_T
Does someone experienced same problem??
My GT-N7000 did exactly the same thing to me on Saturday
Stock ICS rom on Orange UK
I was getting Google Sync warnings about deleted items limit exceeded on contacts (which I DID NOT delete), but then the phone deleted them, and my SMS and all my photos and videos I had taken.
I am desperately trying to find how to recover them, but the phone has gone mad!!!

Hi,
I've got some problems with my note...
I made a backup over kies before installing ics. After installing ics i recover just the contacts and calendar data over kies. All settings and apps i decided to konfigurate and instal manually. I've got between 50 and 60 apps on the note. It lags more then on GB.
A day later i bought a original 64 gb microsd class 10 from sandisk. Then i put over 30gb of music videos and photos on the sdcard.
1 week later in my gallery appeared some strange black broken files. No idea what that is.. This broken files seems to be a copy of a image but without data (0kb)
In the detail view is nothing to find out... So i deleted them all manually. After restart they appeared back. So i deleted them again and cleared the gallery cache and the data from gallery settings...
Nothing helped.. The same problem i've got with videos and music files. Ive tried all advices and tips like format the sdcard and so on.. On windows all the files on the sd card are completely normal!
I have no idea what to do with this problem... Please, i need your help
Sorry for my bad english..
I have exactly the same problem on the GS2 since upgrading to ICS. I've been trying for months to find a resolution, but you're the first person I've even encountered with the same problem. Wish I could help you, and myself for that matter!
I hope this helps though. Why dont you try SD maid to clear up junk off your sd card.

Format the internal and external(if you used one) too.
You can format them via the phone or by connecting them to a pc in mass storage mode
if on safe kernel you can do above if not, go to safe first or you will wind up bricking it.

Hey i be recently noticed a problem that every time I reboot my phone, my previous images from gallery and music from Apollo disappears.
I ran kaspersky on my phone but can't detect anything funny. Have also tried to load the videos in vlc but it doesn't work.
Other android users have faced some problems like this but a quick reformat of their card would erase this problem. In my case im not using ext SD card from the note, but using the internal sc card that is the mounted flash memory.

Did you already take out the SD card, and put it in a card reader? Then you should be able to restore everything just fine. Dont format it, if Windows asks you to. How to prevent data loss? Not take out/unmount the SDcard, while the phone is on and maybe accessing some files
I have same problem, u just delete the file named .nomedia in sdcard
Problem will be solved
Press thanks if helped

I seem to be unable to open Gallery and an error message appears stating:
"Not enough space. Delete unnecessary items such as ......"
I've checked internal, external, system, data etc and still have some remaining space on each one.
Could the issue be with the location of the storage being corrupted? If so how can I fix it
(I've tried wiping everything through CWM, but that hasn't helped)
Gallery cache?
Is there enough space for it?

try to unmount the external sd card and the open gallery
Thanks for your response
I've backed up both internal and external storage to my pc and then formatted the phone completely, reinstalled the ROM and the gallery is now working.
It seems therefore, that there was a corrupt file/s somewhere.
Any ideas how I go about locating this file, as I would like to get transfer my files back onto my phone.
Thanks

may be it was not a corrupted file issue. The flashing of rom again might have solved it. put the files back and it should work
I have exactly the same problem.
I get this every time I try to open the gallery, changing the wallpaper or anything else that's using the gallery. Non of those things work.
I am running RocketRom JB, flashed it according to the installation info (including the real format system, wipe dalvik/cache and all the other things)
To troubleshoot the problem I did:
Another flash of rocketrom without wipe
Backup and format the sd-card
Cleaned the Gallery cache
Rescanned the media storage
Remove the sd-card and start the gallery
Any ideas what else could help?
Of course I have plenty of space left (first thing I checked) it's > 1 GB on the system, > 9 GB internal Storage and 20 GB on the external.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

I think your picture files is too many. If you would like to store pics in your SD card, make sure its not like above 3k picture files. I have experinced this before..

Some people tend to use their phone as their life depends on it.. Carrying loads of important stuff there..
A phone its a device that's very exposed to damage and robbery etc.. It's not meant to be your life backup... Really I don't understand the behavior of some people... Just put some music... Some meaningful pictures.. Some movie, a couple of games... Configure your email account set the security in the lock screen and you are good to go..

Thanks for the hint, but size is not the problem, not even a single photo on an empty card works.
@msdek maybe you didn't understand the problem. What gave you the hint that I would like to "carry my life around with me"?
I have appr. 80 photos that I would like to view in the gallery plus the ones I take on the go. Which should be no problem. Which was no problem until I flashed Rocketrom. But the Gallery doesn't open, not even for one pic.

Are you referring to the filein /system/app/secgallery2.odex?
With wipe you mean delete or rename ?
i have heard previously, deleting odex might make your gallery app FC. pl confirm.
Thanks upfront.
