Nice bootani !! But 124 MB! That's a little steep.. Thanks though
Thanks for reply!
I made a new version, it's 45mb now. Better than before, but I know that for some devices can be bigger anyway. I will try to make it more lighter without too many loss of quality.

The "aura" behind the Ninjadroid is inspired by Love Machine from "Summer Wars"; searching into vector image sets some pieces to assembly something similar, I've founded the written circle and the lotus ("kamal", right?) crown and I liked the composition with the crown of spears.
So, there are no particular whys because I used this word, it's just an aesthetic reason.
nice job!
Any chance of this in 720x1080p ??? It look great

1080 I think is not possible, some elements of the composition are not vector and too small to resize. Also the final file will make too big.
As soon as I have a little of time I try to make a 720 version.
Bye!

That app crashes when you try and save a wallpaper. Not sure if its an issue with 2.3 or just ****ty coding. Used to work fine on my Nexus One.

What is your screen resolution?. This is for 480 pixels width. If your screen is bigger, you will see a non full screen boot. Or you can edit the txt file inside the zip to set it to your screen size.

I'm using galaxy tab 10.1, the resolution about 1280 * 800
So how to manage it? just edit it?
frickin awesome!! thank you so much
EDIT: Best way to install, just move the bootanimation.zip with Root Explorer to /system/media - Mount R/W and overwrite current file, weather you have a Kernel or which ever ROM you have installed.

I dunno. Ask morfic, he is a friend. Won't mind

One thing I was never clear on... When you have a Kernel installed (Morfic's in this case on the G2x), how do you flash over the current one (which is by rascarlo as well)? I'm getting installation aborted.. Seems different when a Kernel is installed - to whereas without a Kernel just a ROM, it would flash right over..

Yes you can do that. But keep aspect ratio. Resolution will be lower.
I can extract bigger png sequence but android will go out of memory, too many files to load

It's nice, but the dimensions are nowhere near where they need to be. I hate that I can hardly use Wallbase for my wallpapers anymore because I have to find them with a height of at least 1920 for my mind to actually be at ease. LOL

So instead of using the OP instructions, just download Boot Animation from the Play Store, launch it, go to local, find the path where you downloaded the file, and then install. This is what I've found to be a lot easier then the other method.

Thank you for redirecting me here. I've downloaded both the 2560x1600 and the 1280x800, the first one laggs a bit, the second one is fine but you can see all the square were the bootanimation is over and the "screen starts". I'm not sure if you know what I mean, but if you do, can this get solved? Thanks!

I'm loving the 2560 x 1600 on my nexus 10. My only complaint is that it cycles 4 or 5 times and then I have to sit with a black screen while it finishes to boot. Is there anyway to have cycle for the entire boot time. I don't know anything about how these animations work. Thanks!

Wow...that's odd...usually with these new devices I get the opposite. I get that the device boots too fast and they don't get enough of the animation... Tonight I'll make a version of this for you that will just loop until it finishes booting. We'll try that out and see if it works better for you
The fix is really easy if you are willing to try it. I'm just gonna change a value in the desc.txt file in the bootanimation.zip. Right now it says:
2560 1600 24
p 7 0 part0
Just change the 7 to 0.
