[Boot animation] android destroys apple.

Haven't seen this posted in our part of the forums so I figured I'd post it.
**disclaimer** this is NOT my work and I take no credit for any of it. Credit goes to the maker of the video and any collaborators he had.

Installation instructions:
Step 1: download the animation
Step 2: find the boot animation in your download folder using root explorer. Sdcard>download>bootanimation.zip
Step 3: move the bootanimation.zip to system>media in root explorer.
Step 4: reboot and enjoy
Also the video makes the animation seem a little laggy at times but rest assured this runs perfect on our nexus S's

Looks pretty sweet. I can turn my phone sideways pretty easily to watch this. Which size is the best for the Nexus S? The 480x854 or the 480x800?

haha yeah. having it in portrait mode doesnt make much sense, definitely cool looking boot animation though

Anyway to extend the time a bootanimation plays? Got to where the android head is in place and my lockscreen comes up.

Probably the first time in history someone wants a longer boot time but I really like this animation. Looks amazing on the samoled screen.

I have a custom boot animation on my Nexus S 4g but I am wondering if anyone knows where I have to place the mp3 file to enable sound with the boot animation. It was easy on my Evo but cant figure it out on the Nexus yet.

It might be in system/media/audio. It has to be a .ogg file not a .mp3 file though.

Edit: I am off work the next three days so i will be adding lots more to this list. I will also be creatingg animated gifs of each boot animation so you can see them before you download.
Edit: I have now included demos for each one. Keep in mind a animated gif image is not very high quality. It is meant to give you a general idea. All of these will look much better on your phone. I have also cleaned up all the links to make things look less cluttered. I also decided to not embed the animated gifs here so that this page wouldnt take forever to load. Tomorrow i will be adding more animations after i finish optimizing them for our screens. Also when i hit 800 total downloads ill be releasing a animation i created myself. Im currently at 286 downloads thus far. Goodnight XDA.

Leave requests in the comments below. If they are not meant for our screen size i will optimize them for our screen size first.

Just thought of another suggestion. I dont know how much time your work take or anything like that.. But I personally would like a SF 49ers particle red.. Kind of like the cyanogen one but the SF 49ers symbol instead.. That would be cool. Only if you have time man.

What is your screen resolution?. This is for 480 pixels width. If your screen is bigger, you will see a non full screen boot. Or you can edit the txt file inside the zip to set it to your screen size.

I'm using galaxy tab 10.1, the resolution about 1280 * 800
So how to manage it? just edit it?

EDIT: Best way to install, just move the bootanimation.zip with Root Explorer to /system/media - Mount R/W and overwrite current file, weather you have a Kernel or which ever ROM you have installed.

Yes you can do that. But keep aspect ratio. Resolution will be lower.
I can extract bigger png sequence but android will go out of memory, too many files to load

The "aura" behind the Ninjadroid is inspired by Love Machine from "Summer Wars"; searching into vector image sets some pieces to assembly something similar, I've founded the written circle and the lotus ("kamal", right?) crown and I liked the composition with the crown of spears.
So, there are no particular whys because I used this word, it's just an aesthetic reason.

1080 I think is not possible, some elements of the composition are not vector and too small to resize. Also the final file will make too big.
As soon as I have a little of time I try to make a 720 version.

resolution is 720x1280. i've tested it and works. is there going to be a 720 version for foul screen? i really like this boot animation.
