[ask] its possible install rom just on cwm?

Im a noob.. Just sold my hd2tmobile and bought galaxy s i9000 ^^
I want to ask how install rom like Darky rom? On odin or?
Cause last i have hd just switch rom on CWM only..
Im on stock rom i9000DXJPA..
With one click lagfix app from market and this app partitioning my storage to ext2

If you have cwm on your phone then yes you can install roms just using it, usually the roms say if they are CWM versions or if they need Odin. As your looking at darkys rom I can tell you it does let you install it via cwm, and you dont need anything else, just copy the zip to your sdcard card and install.

just use latest rom manager..when u try to flash CWM,did'nt it ask u to choose ur phone right?then,just choose other phone..after that,u'll have bricked galaxy mini..gud luck!!!!...

[SOLV] ROM Toolbox & ROM Manager

Hi guys, I just wanna ask about Rom Toolbox and ROM Manager.
° Is it safe to install Rom toolbox to our SG Mini?
° What are the risks, since it has Rom manager included in it?
° Why is it not safe to install Rom manager for our Mini?
° What are the risks?
° What would happen if I install or do any changes using it?

1. It is safe if u just install ROM manager, but don't flash CWM using Rom Manager.
2. Whats the risk? It'll brick your phone.
3. Just by installing it, you will do no harm. But by flashing cwm using rom manager, you have a 99.9% chance of bricking your phone. By using it to flash roms doesn't brick your phone i think, not really sure.

So I can use the other included features in ROM Toolbox? Why does rom manager brick galaxy mini by installing cwm? Just wondering but I heard someone successful installed cwm using it. He's the 1%

It bricks ur phone because cwm for galaxy mini is not in the list of supported devices. Or something along those lines

Yes I guess u can. I tried it once with my stock rom. All tlit did was to reboot into recovery then flash... Which I could have done manually too. So its kinda useless for our device

except for rom manager, i used almost every other feature of rom toolbox [pro] without a single problem
(fonts, bootanimation, backup/restore, root manager, sd boost....)
custom rom - MD Utility based on CM 7.2 nightly
handy .apk

only flashing recovery is risky nothing else

Just wondering has anybody flashed this using RM, and is it safe. I'm using Samsung galaxy s3 gt-i8190 (mini).

i installed cwm tru rommanager on faria's 5.1 rom and its safe

I got it done manually (using dd, as root in a local console on my sgS3 mini I8190N), like its described in the develepoment threat (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2114182), but with the official CWM image for the s3 mini. so you dont even need the rom manager.

I already thanked his post and forgot to reply. The flash was successful although now I need my default recovery to install the latest firmware by faria lol.

If you have done a backup in the past restore your system with that.
If not just download a new rom into your sd card and flash it.

If your mobile is not starting then, you can download any rom of galaxy ace as you like..
And connect your mobile with odin applicantion and just flash it....
And enjoy a new rom...
But , my opinion is download original rom...because original rom is without ang problem rom...
Download odin and how to use it...
