To all sense 3.0 and 3.5 rom developers

Sorry not allowed to post url yet so if someone could check out article on android police and post the link for me. Just came across this disturbing article this morning about a security vulnerability with latest sense updates. 2 possible files that can be deleted or frozen possibly to stop the threat. I'm posting here so all you smart devs here can look into this and determine what can safely be removed from roms. I love all that you guys do here and keep up the awesome work!

Actually its htclogger.apk
netlogger.apk
a couple of bin files an etc filer and
libhtclogger.so
and libnetlogger.so
and some ciq libs i dont remeber and some ramdisk edits
but htclogger.apk and htcnetlogger.apk and libhtclogger.so and libnetlogger.so should do the job
Ive done it to all my roms already

So have I..........

Glad I got a heads up on this. If there's anything I need to remove other than the two apks, the libs, and the relevant directories in /data/data please let me know, but I think that should prevent any of it from running, yes?

[Reg] AT&T Hybrid rom port to N7000

Hey mates!
I would like to know is there any dev who could port this rom [ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1581065
[ROM][UCLE2][6/3] The Hybrid RC_6.2 hide-able statusbar + 4way power menu ***Hawt ] to our international note, as im not a dev myself and dont know anything about creating roms..? Ive been waiting for a rom like that as long as I have had my note... Really love the CM/Aosp with tablet mode, but also prefer more TW apps so this i just the perfect rom for me, and I believe there is alot of other users too who would love to get this rom

Now as CM7 is ready, lets think forward, CM9. I got a CM9 unofficial file for salsa when I was cleaning up my laptop. Anyone who wants the file can give me their email id and please-This is experimental and for development use. NOT FOR DAY TO DAY USE,. I'll send you a dropbox link. and if you don't want to put up your mail id, PM me.

were skipping cm9. going straight for cm10. send me the link by all means and ill have a look. i need to know where you got it from and what files you used aswell.

you don't need an email id to share a dropbox link. just go online to dropbox and share the file from where ever it is.

Well.... looks like there are some faults in the basic framework and some other elements except system/app. I request all developers to have a look on this. If they think it is a waste of time lets dump cm9 but we can atleast have it as a reference for the.future. I have got my exams and preparations for Diwali so I am not able to get enough time. Anything else?

I'm a bit busy with the university so I can't do much lately.
What have you done? do you used CM9 from other phone as base? Recompiled from scratch? Mixed things CM7-CM9?
It's a bit difficult to help without this kind of information otherwise.
And I think it won't work with our kernel.
Does anybody managed to make a rom based on CM9 that at least has a working installer? Because maybe our CWM it's too old.
These are just hypothesis anyway.

reason why is its from and Acer liquid, and its just been ported nothing else. i will change the details over later and flash it tomoz.

5% it will work to be honest. ive swapped files over and changed the build.prop around. will try later when free

I think you can easily port from the Wildfire S.........The devices are almost(nearly completely) identical

But we have a bit bigger screen, our processor is faster and we got front camera, leave alone the f button.

We devs know we have everything...butwe do not have sources for the kernel...dumb htc stopped manufacturing salsa long back so there are no KCS kernel source code...porting is a **** hard job

One thing I only notice is that the battery percentage cannot be removed on lockscreen even though it is turned off in the settings
