Is it best to buy a generic tablet one and try and custom cut it, or do they still sell perfect fit ones?
Sent from my NookColor using xda app-developers app
I bought Nook Color - specific ones from MonoPrice.
Good quality and easy to apply. I went with the anitiglare ones.
Check at Ebay.
They have nook specific screens which work just fine.

Off topic, but it's my topic... how's ics on the nook color? Compared to cm7?

Please check Racks Dualboot topic and especially latest posts by me. Also other topics at Questions section about CM9.
After upgrading to AOKP version, CM9 is more stable then ever.

I have to agree with Rastaviper. The Aokp ICS rom is comparable to cm7. Stable (running for 3 days with no lockups and no SODs) and reasonably smooth.

I can get one for a slight discount at wm and wanted to know how worth it is a nook color? Is it easy to flash or more difficult than a phone. Just need some opinions. Thanks so much!
Sent from my CM7 Motorola Bravo
Basically the easiest thing you can root. Burn an image to your SD card with a couple clicks then drag over a couple files the stick it in and go through the flashing process. Completely unbrickable as long as you dont break the SD slot.

I'm going to go for a refurb with one year warranty and an sd image I have no reason to not get. Getting next week when I get paid. Just curious how is the performance in.cm7? How is 3D performace? Decent over clocking options? Sorry for the questions! Just trying to justify it when i have this phone. This tab is just so cheap and so much development! The answers are appreciated! Thanks so much.

I don't know much about 3D performance but with mine overclocked to 1.2GHrz I see no problem or lag with any game I've thrown at it. You can even play the games made for Tera CPUs using Chainfire. Most Nooks overclock to 1.2GHrz just fine.

Make sure bearing in mind that the NC is a pure e-reader that can be turned into tablet.
Must know that it has no hdmi, no gps, can't make phone call, no camera whatsover, .....
For 150 i can't be picky! Just making sure its worth it. I'll prob just do sd install for safety. Thanks for the help everyone I'm defnitely geting one next week. Is there anything like some models are incompatible with sd boot or anythng? Or if i order a refurb from b&n on ebay will I be all ready to go?

I would recommend flashing to internal because it is much easier to upgrade, back-up, and troubleshoot. Also it is more stable. Check out the Link in my Sig to get started. You can always return to stock by just making a clockwork card as the Nook has SD boot priority.

3D gaming is great on the NC. It has almost the same internals as the Droid X. I have several games demoed on youtube in my sig.
I know you guys have got to be close to the ICS, have to be. If there is anything I can do to help get you there, let me know. When you get there, there is this really nice launcher called Apex. It's very smooth, it's very lite, yet customizable enough to play with the big boys. I have tried other launchers, and by the end of the day go back to Go Launcher, but this one I have had for 2 days so far. Dig it so far.

Not compatible like said above me.
Edit: Just realized what he's talking about. He's saying about how when we get ICS Up and Running to try out the Apex launcher.

This phone is unlikely to see a fully functional ICS. It is what it is (previous generation phone).
It may get the non-HW Accelerated, nerfed, partially functional version, but even with that, I don't think there are devs actively working on it.
It is true that this will be a passed by phone in a year, but the work MT has been putting into it keeps us fairly happy with it in the meantime.
Truth be told, the only way to squeeze anything more out of these devices would be to have the processing power of the TFP with a tablet dock (plug your phone into a tablet shell and get tablet functionality) at a reasonable cost (unlikely).

Sadly, I have to agree this phone won't ever receive a fully functional rom such as cm7 but who knows it could but I personally don't think it will.

So I was considering swapping my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2 i777 for an Atrix HD. I got a guy who will do a trade. What do you guys think? Would this be considered an "upgrade" as far as performance?

Where could I find this thread?

I'm with asawi, I've tried most of them and 7.2 is as good as it gets. Very smooth, not a ton of lag, very usable.
