Is there a ROM with Windows Mobile 6.5 AND a Manila(TF3D) version of at least 2?
I've been using MightyROM 6 Victor and it only uses Manila 1.2.37896.1_1813.6.
I want a later Manila version mostly for the upgraded keyboard that is found in 2.0+.
EDIT: I didn't find a ROM meeting those requirements but I found a keyboard ported from Diamond 2 (which is the same as Manila 2.0+ keyboards as far as I can tell).
It was hard to find a working file so it's attached for anyone who might need it.
Just install the .cab and it will replace the "Full QWERTY" keyboard. (you will need to hard reset if you want to get the old keyboard back but I don't see why you would want it)

hi everyone,
I have an AT&T tilt, with ROM HyperDragon IV IOLITE OS 5.2.20765 Build 20765.1.4.4 (Also try with HyperDragon IV Rhodium OS 5.2.21040 Build 21040.1.6.0) and Radio 1.65.24.36. I have installed many keyboards but anyone have worked with my phone. I install them with any issue but when I select it in the drop down menu, the original keyboard is still there, nothing happens.
I try with:
FingerKeyboard2 FingerKeyb-2.1-QVGA-arrows-Giannis86.cab
Gollum's Diamond XT9 OEM pack gullum diamond keys.cab
EzInput 1.5 Keyboard [Full Keyboard] - phones with full HW keyboard fro QVGA
XDA Atom T9 Phone Pad phonepad_atom_wwe.cab
Please help, and excuse me for my english...
Try searching for SIP Change.
thanks! but I already try with SIP change, still the same problem.
Keyboard
Hi there, I'm using FingerKeyboard on my Kaiser. When you install the cab. make sure you install it onto your device when your phone give you the option; do a soft-reset. Then go to the bottom of your phones touchscreen where you press for the keyboard to pop-up. On the right side of the "keyboard icon" there's an arrowhead, press on again, now navigate to the text bar that says "FingerKeyboard" make sure it's selected. There you should have it?
Device: TILT (unlocked)
Rom: PDA Ultimate V2
Radio: 1.64.24.36
SPL: Jocky3.56
Thank u very much. I already did that but when I pressed the arrow and select any of the other keyboards, the default was still there.
Last week I changed the ROM with the newest PDA Corner, that includes EzInput Keyboard by default, and now is working flawlessly, so my problem might be a Hyperdragon ROM issue with my phone. I'll try to contact sakajati to inform about this.
Thanks for your attention.
I saw this post about installing the *NEW* Touch Flo 3D from the Touch Pro II onto a pocket PC (link below). Has anyone trid this on a AT&T Fuze (Touch Pro), does it work cleanly? Any problems?
http://pocketpc-live.com/pocket-pc/how-to-install-touch-flo-3d-from-touch-pro-ii.html
Thanks
yes it runs clean(suggest XBMOD TF3D 2.1) if u want just the touchflo, but for me though after flashing EnergyROM with 2.1 Manila TF3D which is VERY similar to the ones on TP2 and Diamond2 it ran soo much better, just expect that manila wont auto rotate, you have to configure it yourself using a change screen software....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542113
Read through the first page.. Thats the newest release V2.1.5
It also explains how to get it to auto rotate.
The cab file for 2.1.5 should be out any day now. 2.1 is released already though. But just wait for the newest one is what I would recommend
I LOVE the new Manila 2.5 i think its a step in the right direction but theres a problem.
The messaging application with it is riddled with bugs i am persistently having to soft-reset in order to sort it out. At the moment im working around problems by always creating a new SMS when i need to send them but its extremely awkward.
So heres the question, is it possible to cook a ROM with the standard WinMo messaging application instead of the new Manila 2.5 one?
Can i get a show of support and if its possible maybe we can see some/a Manila 2.5 ROM with standard WinMo messaging app.
P.S. If im cluttering up this forum and this should be somewhere else move it/lock it and tell me
I never tried it. But I think they might be dependent on each other.
I am by no means a chef and dont know much about that side of things but i would think it was possible.
If they are dependent on each other, then no. Unless we use a patched version of 2.5, but then the functionality wont be the same.
I do not think they need each other to work. HTC Message works well with no TF3D or TF3D2.1 so I am guessing arcsoft will work with 2.5
I have not had a chance to try it yet but it is on my list so I will soon.
There is already a solution for this ...
I use the Energy Rom Genesis with 2.5 Manila WM 6.5
After that I followed this little tutorial:

I SMS trough the WM SMS function, without using the HTC software for it...
Hi,
I've just upgraded to the TD2 from the original TD (which I had modded with various useful apps), but now I require some help with the TD2.
I don't really understand the often mentioned Manilla modification.
Is it a complete ROM update which will replace the WM 6.5 update along with its HTC Sense interface?
Am I correct in thinking that the HTC sense in the TD2 is different from the Sense in the HD2? This is how I'm reading it in the forums.
If this is the case will the MaxManilla update (ROM rewrite?) work still.
Basically I really need to have the calendar on the home screen to display the next appointments, whether they are from the next day or further down the week/month. It's really very frustrating that it only shows the current and next days appointments. It'd also be useful if it showed the tasks (if they're active) too.
Cheers in advance.

Hi im pretty new to the phone wel been using it for a month and I might be able to help you out.
Most roms now run on sense 2.5 which is the roms for td2(aka Topaz) based off of the HD2(aka Leo) it has most functions which run on the leo also max manilla is basically for customizing the look of the interface and yes when you flash your device will be wiped and reinstalled with useful applications and programs just like when you first bought it
manila/sense vs maxmanila
Manila is the core system file known as HTC Sense - you can't install this from a .cab [for now], that's why any upgrade to manila is directly implemented in ROM [ROM rebuild > flash ROM]
MaxManilla is an application designed to customize Manila
-= for now =-
if you want to upgrade manila / sense, you can't unless you reflash your rom
if you want to upgrade maxmanila, that's ok, but that doesn't mean you upgrade the manila core
Is there a Kitchen available that is wm6.5 with manila 2.5. I tried to port it but I keep getting errors in the rom,(all I get is the todayscreen with no other tabs and no soft buttons)( or manila 2.5 doesn't load at all) I dont know how to fix this so I am asking if anyone has a kitchen or knows where I can get one with wm 6.5 not 6.5.x with manila 2.5
I am confused by your request - if am not misunderstanding you, then just download OsKitchenZero by airextreme, import the stock 2.07 Rhodium Rom, and you have your kitchen with manile 2.5 and normal 6.5. Thats how I started but have imported a 6.5.x build and rebased to that. Very happy.

Dosen't the Rhodium 2.07 have manila 2.1, I am trying to get the manila from hd2
Nope, it came with Manila build 2012. (Which is 2.5 as far as I know)
I have found that all the later ones from the HD2 that have the extended tabs use up a lot of memory when run with Cookie Home Tab. (if that is what you are after then that is a later build of 2.5 and I do not think it exists natively on the Rhodium - obviously it can and has been cooked in Rhodium ROMS, but was not meant for it.)
I have found that running Manila 2012, with Cookie Home Tab 1.6.1 and disabling tabs I do not use (music, internet, stocks,Photos - I mean I just run Opera or S2P from the quicklinks - dont need a tab) gives a faster and more reliable system. I have found the memory management on 23569 when combined with manila to be excellent. My phone idles at around 30-35% free and regains memory when you close apps.
I have also inserted the HTC messaging 1.8 (from build 2015) in the mix as well, works fine).
WOW I feel like the guy who just wlaked out of the stall with a string of tolit paper stuck to the bottem of his shoe:S

sorry - not my intention. justt trying to share what little experience i have.
i could never get all the roms with all the nice eye candy to work consistently enough and be stable over say 3 to 4 days for me to be happy.i would still recomend air extremes kitchen, then follow his link for the latest leo packages, and upgrade to the manila you want that way.

crazyC, There are some excellent ROMS out there but they just aren't quite my flavor so I've decided it's time to cook my own. I just ran into this post (i know a little late) but i was hoping you'd answer the following since you have exactly what i wanted to build.
1. The most stable stock Rom i found for my phone is the ASIA 6.5, is this the same one you started your Kitchen from?
2. When you added the 1.8 HTC messaging client did you have to upgrade some of the other Sense packages too or just the client.
Thanks...
