There are currently two retailers online for pre-ordering the Nexus 7
There are two parts to this guide.
PART 1 : Ordering
PHYSICALLY
-Gamestop
Check if your country has a Gamestop outlet and you could pre-order from there (Correct me if I am wrong)
ONLINE
-Play Store(For 8GB and 16GB models) (VPN/Proxy NEEDED)
Currently you can only get this from the U.S.A. but by using a vpn to access the play store on your computer you can see the page for ordering the Nexus 7. Google how to use vpns.
-Gamestop Online Store (For 16GB Model ONLY)
You can order the Nexus 7 16 GB only from here but the website works in most countries. Here is the link to order the Nexus 7: LINK
-JR.com (16 GB Model)
There is a Promotion which allows you to get the tablet for 234 USD only, for the 16 GB model. Thanks to the forum post here and the OP
Part 2: Shipping
To ship the Nexus 7 from the U.S.A you can use any shipping forwarder, for example Vpost, Comgateway, or Borderlinx.
Vpost is mostly in Asia.
Comgateway ships to many countries and so does Borderlinx.
Borderlinx is the best forwarder IMO but requires you to have a citibank card. If anyone has other forwarder recommendations please post below
After making an account on either site, you will get a US address which you would need to put for the address that Gamestop or the Play Store will be shipping to. Comgateway/Vpost/Borderlinx will then from that address ship it to you wherever you are.
I hope you found this tutorial helpful
There is already a sticky covering different places to buy the Nexus 7 from, continue all further discussion there.

As of now developers can get a fully SIM-unlocked T-Mobile G1 with unlocked bootloader that allows flashing of custom Android builds (no need of signed system images anymore). Called the Android Dev Phone 1, the special device will be available to all developers registered at the Android Market from 18 international markets including US, UK, Germany, Japan, India, Canada, France, Taiwan, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Hungary (with more to come soon).

The Android Dev Phone 1 is the next step by Google of making the Android OS as open source as possible. The device currently costs 399 US dollars with free shipping within US. The only prerequisite to buy one is to have a developer's registration over at the Android Market, which will set you back a one-time registration fee of 25 US dollars.
For now there is a limit of only 1 phone per developer and as Google point out the "Android Dev Phone 1 devices are not intended for non-developer end users. Since the devices can be configured with system software not provided by or supported by Google or any other company, end users operate these devices at their own risk."
Yeah right! Sounds scary, doesn't it?
heya drfu. nice to see a paki here again, from karachi too, my home town
as for the device, there is a 25$ Developer fee too
More info is in the Htc Dream's (aka G1) forum here at xda
Google has not yet made a formal announcement about the launch date for its Nexus 7 tablet, but according to retailer Staples, that launch is scheduled for next week.
The Google Nexus 7 will begin shipping from Staples between July 12 and 17, according to the tablet's retail product page.
Customers who pre-order the Nexus 7 by July 10 can expect a tablet delivery within one to three business days, arriving no earlier than July 13.
Only the 16GB version of the tablet seems to be available for pre-order on the site for $249. Both the 16BG and an 8GB, $199 version can be set aside in Google Play.
When asked about the Staples listing, a Google spokesperson said the company has not yet revealed an official release date. "We have only said mid-July so far," Google said, which is consistent with the Staples listing.
Staples did not immediately return requests for comment.
Electronista reported that warehouse devices are getting tagged and are ready to ship to people who ordered the tablet on or before June 29. The blog also said Google mistakenly offered a pre-order page a bit early last month, resulting in almost 400 pre-orders that Google will honour.

Did you order on or before June 29?
Interesting but not worth making a new thread, use this one instead
Also I call fake, or mostly fake, since the main source of information took down their article/blog post (Got a copy of the page via screenshot here: http://d.pr/i/q529). I do believe they will ship this week but doubt that it's all set in stone like that.
When are people going to read....

I'm one of the folks who ordered the N7 during the $234 sale they had a week ago. I've been wondering if our orders would be on the same schedule as Staples/PlayStore/etc. but I'm not so sure. Yesterday, I received this email.
"We are sorry to inform you that the following item(s) you ordered
are currently not in stock. We have these on order with the manufacturer,
and hope to have them available shortly. We sincerely apologize for any
inconvenience this may cause you. Please be assured that we are doing our
best to obtain these for you as quickly as possible. If this is a "special
order" or a "pre-order" item, please be aware that this email is
automatically sent on all orders that are waiting for stock to arrive.
There is no need to contact us for a substitution on pre-orders or special
orders. If you would like to contact us, please use the information below."
Anybody else get this? Has anyone heard anything else from J&R?
Read the Slickdeals thread it was a standard email for preorders
Same with me. Though I bet J&R will get them from Google when Google ships theirs to consumers. So say next week. Then there will be waves because of the ridiculous amount of people that used that option. Then it will talk 1-2 weeks to reach your door.
Basically, expect it next month. Although you could buy some cheap iPod touches locally on Craig's list and trade them in to gamestop for a profit. Then you can get the nexus next week for about $150 total

By the way. Mods are going to close this thread. We are using the original thread found in the member found deals section for updates.

Then Staples currently shows out of stock - Google Nexus 7 16GB Tablet (Pre-sale Only)
But you can first get this $7.50 For A $15 StaplesĀ® Gift Card and use to pre-order or buy it later when it's in stock.
Note: Just found out that this is not an instant discount. After you purchase, they'll send you the gift card by mail and then you can use it to redeem at staples.com.
Office Depot - showing pre-sale but according to the staff, they'll start shipping next week. My order placed on the 11th just marked as shipped today.

I havs a $10 iTunes card here and I don't have any plans to use it. If someone wants it, lets trade! I'll take a $10 Google Play card.
I have never seen Google play gift cards in a shop.

Yes everywhere!
almost everyone hee is android/linux fanboy, chance of finding someone who wants to trade is about 0.0000001%
sony xperia ray stock rom not rooted
I'm pretty sure there are websites made for this exact purpose - trading gift cards in a safe manner.
Even if you're honest and not trying to scam someone - someone might scam you.
