I just started making ROMs today and I'm going to start with just modifying a ROM.
Couldn't get the Golden Elegance theme to work with anything. So it's has ADW Launcher and everything else.
Goodies added:
Hulu
Flashplayer
Wireless Tether
A Skinned "Droid Does" Swype Keyboard
Option Of ADW Launcher or Launcher Pro
I'll work on different colored themes in the near future.

What did you do to get Hulu working?
is 8GB internal storage present and is BT audio fixed? Those are keeping me away from CM6 for now...

thx for the response and no worries, was just curious. don't pay attention to the negative comment(s).
Yo hot taco, overall pretty nice. The only thing i would suggest is to theme over all the cyan (blue) parts to make them look like vanilla (even though thats my area of expertise).

I agree 110%.. I've thought about trying to learn how to cook up some ROMs but if this is how i would get treated, forget it. So what if its not a "ROM". Everyone has to start somewhere. He's learning. He's obviously smarter than you at age 13 and you obviously have a problem with it. Grow up before you decided to post such nonsense.

perhaps u should work on creating some original material and get some people to test/help u before u create a thread for a ROM...
That way nobody could complain and u could learn and put together a good ROM
Wow, sure he just used a basic kitchen to add things a lot of ppl add anyways. This isn't for me so I'm not gonna flash it, but I'm not gonna flame someone for doing this. A lot of people will find this useful. Just because its not for you doesn't mean its right to treat someone trying to contribute like this.

I really trying to raise the user experience of users by spending a lot of time and effort in those mods....and I'm doing a lot of mods as you can see in my signature.
Well you can believe it or not, I dont just spent hours on those mods, more like days and weeks. On my leedroid tweaks project even months.
..and I'm doing this for fun and SHARE it with YOU for FREE!
So what the problem when I just put one rule up for DEVS and THEMERS to wait a t least on week before including it?
On that way I can ensure some activity in my threads and not to lose all users by day one, because all are kanging me on day two?

Dumb? Asking people to wait a week to get permission to use your work and you call me dumb? Yea request they ask your permission and give you credit for your hard work but wait a week! I don't need users, this is made to make MY phone look nice, and if other people like it, they are free to use it.

lol if you didnt need users why be a dev on here and make your rom public? you would just keep it for your own private consumption period. the mere fact it is here on xda means you crave that following that comes from users liking your work and thanking you for it! i like your work but wont kiss ass because i do! if you posted something i didnt like id tell you same way! you must have had people who didnt like your work but you didnt stop all dev cause of it did you? we are adults in here and this childish attitude is not acceptable.

Hello XDA, the last few weeks have been a little crazy around here and we lost some great devs. As a result I've gotten the bug to mod ICS myself. I am on the BinDroid team but for the last 6 months have been working two jobs and I have two toddlers so my dev time have been almost zero. Anyway, I have been working with DutchDanny (he does all of the images for BinDroid) over the last few days and have the beginnings of a BinDroid Vivid ROM.
I have a pretty thick skin but hopefully the drama won't be to bad. That being said I am still working two jobs so once the first beta comes out updates might be slow. As long as you can deal with that BinDroid might work for you.
I do need a little assistance to get the beta complete. Neither frameworkres.apk or SystemUI.apk will recompile properly, even without modification they will not recompile. I tried using UOT Kitchen as a shortcut, but it can't recompile the files either. Is there a dev out there that has had any success decompiling and recompiling those two apks? I just need to mod a few XML's and add a few new one to get some animations going.
If anyone has any dev or mod experience and you would lik to help, that will speed up the updates Danny doesn't have a Vivid so he is working on the Sensation XE right now.
I'm sure we will all be patient with your work. Most of us understand and are grateful for any type of development at all and welcome all of it. Honestly, you don't have a lot to worry about, our vivid section isn't too bad. There were only a few rotten apples that ruined it for everyone. Can't wait to see what you have in store.

Ah, thank you bananacakes, this looks promising. I couldn't get passed the error with the "<anim name="htc_ime_decelerate_interpolator">@anim/zzz_htc_ime_decelerate_interpolator</anim>" file.

decompile framework-res
1)Try to extract ICS_apktool.zip
2)copy two file(framework-res.apk & com.htc.resourses.apk) to apktool decompile folder
3)run to Command Prompt.bat
3)apktool if framework-res.apk
apktool if com.htc.resourses.apk
4)apktool d framework-res.apk
5)go to res/values/anims.xml
change this
<anim name="htc_ime_decelerate_interpolator">@anim/zzz_htc_ime_decelerate_interpolator</anim>
to

recompile framework-res

haha yeah. I avoid PMing the OP's. It's kind of rude. They put in so much effort into writing the instructions and people ignore it, flash the way they flashed on other phones and brick their machines. I come from the Inspire so I've used the Bindroid roms before. It was smooth but sometimes it was heavy on the ram. It could get me as low as 90 mb. The Vivid is much more powerful and once someone sets the clock speed back to 1.5 Ghz it will be much better.

We will start with a clean stable BD themed ROM. I already added an extended quick settings menu. We are looking into the extended power menu. Hoping to get the beta out very soon. I am thinking of doing a prerelease so maybe we can get it tested first since I don't have a full Vivid team right now.

how can i edit 4.2 apks like systemui and others i use apk-multi-tool. i have no problem with decompile only with compile part keeps saying no resources but have installed framework-res.apk and systemui.apk ??

There should be another framework apk that is used as a resource, is there any other apks in your framework folder?
Nope that is the only one in frameworks folder I'm on cm10.1 asylum at the moment

One, learn to type correctly in English.
Two, quit flaming people who try to contribute. Even if the contribution is small or you feel it's not a huge contribution, it's still something. I don't see you doing anything to help the community.

i created previous cursedrom with boring kitchen
now am not using kitchen .
if i get a beta tester . i promise i will get multi-user on note 1 .dont be cautious with this because the worst case scenario here is Force-Closes .
if one brave-soul is out there brave enough to test this mod it will be awesome
think about getting a new functionality - multi-user on our note 4.2.1
i was a big fail but not now , my work has been featured on xda portal even.
why people profile a person on the basis of past
as said before if i get a beta-tester i promise to get this mod working

Honestly, I don't care. If someone is trying to help and you don't agree with their methods, simply ignore it. If you feel as if he's harming the community I'm any way, report him. Let the mods deal with the forums they are in charge of. You are not a mod, so move on. The end, goodbye.

I read somewhere that mike1986 will release a Rom for it.
But it all depends if the devs cone over that know how to unlock etc.

I think, the team Skydragon (i'm a part of it)(Chef dev for Stripped Rom (secXces) to maximum without bugs (i try it x)) try the Htc m7 too. :>

you ll probably see several team venom members on the gsm version and the sprint version
started the m0narx donation drive on venomroms.com, cuz with all the stuff thats missing (imo) from sense5, hes the best bet to right some wrongs software wise
My toolkit will be released for this phone. Don't worry about that

That's a tad negative towards team venom.
The reason behind getting m0narX a phone is not for bounty or payment. Its so that he can develop venom tweaks for it, because he is the master/leader of team venom
Its a donation for his support and the development of the ROM, not a donation for bounty or just for money. The money will be used to buy monarx's phone
S-off is usually bounty, where the person collects money for what they've done

no one is obligating you to do anything, if you want to donate to s-off then do so
Nothing beats the feeling of having the best devs in the industry(yep in the industry coz all these OEM guys keep f**ken up) sign up for Ur device...I bet the GSM version will get s-off first, cos these carriers I don't trust em.....salute guys its great to see u here
