Yeah.. I flash into N7000DXLP9_N7000OLBLP6_N7000DXLP5_HOME.tar. Then I installed CWM and wipe data/factory reset. Unfortunately, it hang. So i took out the battery and turn it on and found out the phone's bricked. I tried reflashing the Stock ICS ROM but failed at factoryfs.img(Stuck at like 5% lol). Already tried opening in admin, compatibility mode(XP SP 2), changed usb ports and restarted the computer. Haven't tried on a different computer though. Any ideas? If it's possible, I don't wait to PIT the phone... It's not mine. Thanks in advance
The binary count is still zero and there is no warning triangle thing. After some research, is this the Superbrick bug? Never thought that ICS rom can be this risky....

Welcome to superbrick club. Your MoBo needs to be replaced. There is a workaround - see the general section.
If you have flash counter zero, then dont try anything and just send it to service centre and tell them this happened after Kies update, to reclaim your warranty.

Dont play around with the work arounds, there are no solutions, only work arounds.
Your binary count is zero, take it the service center and get the MoBo replaced under warranty. It will save you sleepless nghts... trust me.
Okay. Thanks for the feedback.

Yesterday i started KIES and found out that there was an update available but i did not have enough time to update it so i cancelled the procedure. Now today i started KIES again again and it says that i already have the latest firmware. I am using Froyo XXJPY with Seed Mod Kernel K13C and Lag Fix enabled.
Can anyone guide me in this problem?
Seems that firmware was retired 'cause it has some bugs.
User are getting overexcited and Samsung have pulled 2.3 .

Ok. Thanks a lot for your replies. I was thinking that there might be something wrong with my handset. Does this have to do something with Apple lawsuit.
Also kindly let me know which one was the pulled version so that I can flash it through Odin.

I updated over the weekend to 2.3.3 and after an initial problem with the notification bar FC on start up, (fixed it with a cache wipe and data wipe from the three button boot loader menu) everything seems fine.
Was I just lucky or unlucky to get this update.
I'm on O2 UK but I had flashed 2.2.1 from samfirmware.com with odin.
It was a pre-mature push, and I don't think they will going to launch it before lauch of SGS 2, let's wait when they roll it again :-(
The answer is provide that Google had some issues with the update and got it pulled.

Okay, here's the deal.
When I turn my phone on, I get "The Black Screen of Death" but I can still get into download mode with 3 button combo without any problem yet when I try to flash a stock firmware I get this FAIL not a pleasant thing to see.. Haha

Well, if you have any clue how to help, please reply ASAP as I now have no phone.. Damn. :/
That's the risk we take flashing I guess..
Update:
Here's what happened when I tried to flash a JPA single file firmware.
I have already had a similar screen to this twice. First Brown and then Blue. Now this magenta..
Thank you to all of the replies I have gotten so far!
Edit: Problem solved. I tried many different firmwares, eventually, JF7 worked for me? I don't know why, but it just did!
I now have a fully functioning phone! Thanks everyone for your input! God bless!
Could you try another rom? maybe a 2.2.1 rom and if passes you can flash 2.3.3 again, seems have problem with repartition you also can try a single file rom means you should not activate repartition then check what will happen
try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=847765
its pretty much same thing and good luck mate
cheers
I agree that you should definitely try something that doesn't require partitioning, since it is the partition that fails according to the log, which then shuts down the whole process.
Of course, even without partitioning, something else may fail...but hey, this is the exciting part, remember? That whole "Turn it on and it just works" thing is SO overrated.
You could try with odin 1.3 I found the newer versions a little buggy.
Looks to me like odin cannot find the required files or they are the wrong files/format .

Hey guys, iv scanned the forum for hints and tips with my SGS since i got it a year ago and has always been very helpful, now iv hit a wall. I had the wonderful problem of trying to update the firmware and ended up getting bricked. So after scratching my head for a few hours and lots of huffing i sorted it. Anyway, i worked out how to flash it etc but now the phones gyro thingy wont work and i cant turn it to landscape and its now forever crashing and is now really slow. Help!?

Feel allowed to learn and to try by youself
Try to re-flash same/different firmware with full wipe. That should fix the problem. Had same issues when were trying to downgrade from 2.3.3 to 2.2.1
Good luck.
You guys need a DUHHH smiley, i checked back to the firmware site i originally went to and discovered that i had picked what i think maybe like a universal firmware or something, scrolled back up the list and found the one for my network provider
Foo'
Thanks very much guys
what this means ? This is what i got after flashing a Gb rom through ODIN

Sorry fella i have no real clue this is my first post and i am a total noob... Still laughing from the video before registering. But heres my totally uninformed first thought, could it be that it needs to have writable sd partition, hopefully someone substantially more informed will help you out soon. I just thought id post because i noticed no one else had and youd only had one view. Lol Ive a bit of an issue myself but im a little afraid to post after the vid, even though iv'e been scouring internet for days with no answers! Lol good luck bud hope it all works out
Have you rooted your phone before flashing? Also, have you tried to do the wipes on the recovery?
Not sure if any of those will fix it for you, but eh, it's better than nothing
Is the romantic on the phone partition or on a external sd card, and have you set the install location to the correct partition

i guess you have not rooted your phone..
and if you did..you are trying to flash a rom through stock recovery?
please search before you know what to do..
we only flash it via cwm recovery, mobile odin or pc odin..
am i correct?
What are you trying to flash, rom type, backup? Need more info.

LOL I think he means bootloop. But not sure. I think it's impossible to brick a phone with chainfire. I tried it on every ROMs except for the stock and the biggest problem I ever got is the bootloop. Then restored a backup and that's it.

Except Chainfire is installing a HTC One VX Kernel on Mini sorry...
This not unfixable problems, this fixable.
Install CWM v5.0.2.8 by Squadzone
Mount USB Storage
Download any ROM from Android Development Section
Put it in your SD-Card
UnMount in CWM
Install your ROM !
