Just wanting to know what you all think. Not too much discussion going on here about them. I've used them all, good experiences. Pro, cons, whatever. I personally like the stock .230 leak. I find the smart actions very nice. Also like the app drawer with the different groups.

Personally, I like the 230 update... plan on updating to 232 soon, but holding off because every time I flash, another one comes out.
I'm not one for flashing nightly roms, but I've been itching to try CM9
Yeah I am a little hesitant about flashing .232. But I think it's good news that these leaks keep showing up.
I used the CM9 from the .2233 leak and wasn't overly impressed. I feel AOKP has more options. But these Moto leaks are just so nice in my taste.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
I prefer AOKP but there are still some issues with it such as static in the Bluetooth. I have 2 phones on me all day at work and the use of a headset is a must. I am on stock .232 with Apex, init.d, and pull down toggles. I have pulled all the bloat and system crap that I don't ever use. There isn't really much at all running in the background. I have pulled some init.d scripts from different roms to speed things up more but not sure which one I'm going to use yet. As soon as AOKP has the BT issue fixed I will be flashing it though.

Sorry for the noob question, but how do you get the pulldown toggles on the stock rom?

I stayed on the .232 leak for a couple days, enjoyed the new "Blur" but there were just a couple thing i didn't like. The launcher was alright a little prehistoric compared to today's standards with Apex and especially Nova being so fast and smart. Not being able to change the Lockscreen shortcuts aggravated me but overall the Lockscreen with its separate Camera, Phone, Messaging, Sound settings, and Lock is nice.
But after I flashed CM9 i wont look back. You can customize everything, there is shortcuts to everything, its very responsive, and Cyanogenmod Team really made there stock applications wonderful. You can tell they took there time in making everything run smoothly and look great as well.
So i would go with CM9 especially Axiobeam.06_TARGA. Thats what i flashed and i love it. It includes alot of extras worth having.
I'm currently on 232 and love it. Tried AOKP and CM9, and while they are both solid, they both lack one CRUCIAL feature- Webtop.
Since I am addicted to my Lapdock, I'm staying with Stock ICS until a good rom comes along with a working Webtop.
Not a big deal though since stock ICS is pretty damned-near perfect.
The CM9 u tried, was it the unofficial one ported by dhacker29?
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda app-developers app
While I do love the features of CM9, there are small things that I really like about the Bionic ICS, like the text app. I like the black background versus the white of CM9/AOKP. I haven't toyed around with Apex enough to know its potential, but I have no complaints about the stock launcher.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
I've flashed 2231, 2233, and now 232, and all of them have had constantly high CPU and RAM usage, making my phone painfully slow to use. However, on the AOKP ICS-leak builds I had no such slowdowns (despite other bugs), with almost all of the same apps installed.
Has anyone else experienced poor performance with the stock leaks?
Occasionally I notice the slow downs, but have definitely noticed the high cpu usage, even after switching governors.

So I've been using AOKP for a few days and noticed the light behind the capacitive buttons never shuts off. Even when the screen is off they just dim. Any ideas for a fix, or is that part of the ROM?

You really only need to ask the question once in a given forum. But honestly I haven't noticed in on either the ICS leaks I've used.
EDIT:
Actually I just noticed it but I think it is as designed. If my phone is locked, not just screen timed out, and I have an unlock pattern (probably pin too) the status bar does not open. If the screen is timed out the status bar can be pulled open.
Not sure, and don't see why it would be a deal breaker. Currently using AOKP with no problems at all.
Sent from my XT875 using xda premium
Only thing that's turning me away from cm9, AOKP or even liquid is the crt animation is down towards the bottom of the screen and when I scroll from screen to screen is glitchy unlike the ics leak
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda app-developers app
Yeah that was bothering me so I turned CRT off. I just recently installed CM10 and its nice aside from the lack of camera. Definitely very promising.

Just felt I should share this with everyone since I don't think a lot of people know about it yet.I know I never heard of it until the other day.
Trying to.get.an idea of what others think.
I guess there has been some controversy between Blackdroid (UltimateDroid) and the CyanogenMod team over the likeness of Ultimate Droid to CyanogenMod 7. They are almost identical, however, Ultimate Droid offers far more customization and every bit as snappy. As most of you know, the CM7 Final was released nearly 24 hours ago. I obviously downloaded and flashed it immediately to check it out. Honestly, there just wasn't anything special enough to keep it, I immediately restored my UD backup.
I certainly don't want to get in the middle of any beef between developers, after all these are both phenomenal ROMs.I just know I am always looking to try new ROMs and other methods of tweakness and hope others would speak up...
Obviously, I take no credit for anything here, just sharing info...

Tapatalk Pro Sig. Yep, boring.
Just more customizable. It allows you to easily change things like themes, boot animations/sound, and system font (which might be my favorite feature). That, or the ability to add a custom message (or name/nickname) to the lockscreen.
some will prefer CM still and certainly nothing wrong with that.

People are still talking about things that went down a year ago? Wow.
UD Rom is the best hands down.
Edit: I could care less about the year old beef...bunch of whining babies. I'd steal your lunch on the playground if I could.
UD is much more stable then CM. Faster, smoother and far superior battery life. Who cares about the stale drama between the 2 open source deVs. Its all about the final product and UD takes the cake.

Just out of curiosity, are all the additions aesthetic, or are there any performance enhancements over CM7? Like the power control widgets or the lockscreen gestures and things like that.
Wow.... I think this is a record for the longest running UD thread.
For the record, I can't stand aosp roms but would choose UD over cm any day. Especially with cm7. I think cm7 took a step back with removing their custom options and adding the theme app. The only "gimik" they have on cm7 is that its Ginger Bread. Other then that, nothing stands out. The last "good" cm release was cm6 rc3, hands down. And UD is pretty consistent with their releases.
Found my problem. It was that the webpage was set to mobile instead of full size. Once I clicked on the bottom I was able to download.

On S2 was perfect, on Note I cant use hotspots on the sides, only on the squares, the other hotspots are not big in size for this res and fails continually.
The dev doesn't even answer the mails and even using the notification icon to avoid the kill of the program, it is laggy and slow.

I'll suffering too. Only the corners work. The edges are simply not responsive. And this has nothing to do with the app as I've felt the edges to be unresponsive in other apps as well.
The dev is as unresponsive
what i have noticed is that the back key kills the app,i think its the way ics works, it keeps at most 4 in the background, if some one would help me in preventing swipepad from killed in the background would be nice

Hi,
I just thought it would be useful to start a thread focused specifically and exclusively on the pluses and minuses of the two great choices we have for our Touchpads.
I suspect a lot of us are sitting with CM9 nightlies and wondering which way to leap...what do people think? What are the benefits and issues with each?
Thanks.

I was noticing graphics errors with flash on CM10, either low FPS or scrambled looking flash elements. I also got this in other UIs in CM10 randomly. I went back to CM9 since I don't really see the benefit of CM10 at the moment.

What's considered to be the best rom for stability and battery life that is ICS or JB?
I lived my nexus 7 on 4.1 but man 4.2 build is so bad. It is almost unusable to me. It is laggy and buggy with freezing all the time. Any suggestions on something very stable, close to stock? How is cyanogenmod? Ideas would be appreciated. Looking to root tomorrow I can't take this any longer.

Strange how peoples experiences differ
I use stock rom 4.2 and never ever have any kind of lag or freezing of any kind - everything works 100% and buttersmooth constantly
I never have to reboot or anything, it just runs for months and not even once have I had any lag or problems
Try a 4.1 rom, CM 10.1 is your best bet, but im not familliar of this device roms.

PM me if you need help
People have problems with 4.2 if they have old applications that are not updated for 4.2, don't clean their cache, or don't trim their storage.
Any complaints about battery life are due to applications requesting data synch or location. Those wake the Nexus up, and can be turned off.
4.2 is fine for me.

I had similar issues in stock 4.2, tried about 3 others before settling on cm10.1, which runs smooth as can be for me with good battery life.
Seems like the these things are pretty finicky and everyone's handles different ROMs differently.

I can understand the hate for Blur on Froyo, as it was an ugly, bloated, nonfunctional mess. Gingerbread Blur was still heavily skinned, but was significantly less bloated than Froyo.
With ICS and JB, it is the closest thing to stock Android from any of the major manufacturers, outside of Nexus devices. Moto has even moved away from a lot of custom apps. Though, I suppose this makes sense, due to being owned by Google, they may be trying to closer approach their parent company's ideals.
