Phone sends out double texts...any advice?

ok first of all i did try searching but very little came up and tried the few solutions that were posted but to avail. for quite a bit now ive been sending double texts messages here and there. it wont happen with every text, ill say about 20% of the texts that i send get sent twice. now im using [June 15][PDACorner] Ultimate-X.V8 -21068 rom with spl 3.34nonstuckingspl with radio 1.71.09.01. i switched spls from 3.56 and ive tried many radios. so if anyone has any kind of insight i would greatly appreaciate it..thanks!

Advice: Use the search as over the last week already been posted in ROM thread...

Well there's a couple of things i'd do change SPL like others posted. "I think you using the mentioned SPL"
Change ROM see if still persists.
If still an issue phone your carrier and ask if any problems with your account "without mentioning anythin bout cooked ROM"
I had it happen once when 7 messages where sent but just hard-reset and all was fine.

im going to try and revert back to another spl. so far ive tried 3.34 and 3.56. ive been using pdaultimate's roms only but other people don't have the same problem. thanks sytlez...ill report back to see if its fixed

I think that it is a mixture of carrier problem , connection problem and inherently the way SMS works. My phone does it , my wife's iPhone does it and my son's LG Vu does it. Not all the time but enough.
In any case it has nothing to do with development of new roms, there is a software forum and a general question forum. Just because you don't get an answer one place does not mean, post it in every section until you get the answer you want.

doesnt it get annoying at some point?
and i didnt post in EVERY section. ive only made this thread in this section and i asked in the pdaultimates rom thread. how would i know the double text problem isn't related to custom roms/radio/spls? thats why im trying to find out what is causing it and how to fix it.

Your gonna want to post in the thread that your using for the rom. IE if your using PDA Ultimate rom post this issue in his thread. Not open a new thread in the rom dev section.. That said i'll leave this thread open in hopes you get a answer but i moved it over to kaiser general to keep our dev area clean of questions as it's meant for rom develoupment.

oh i did post in the roms thread...but like the majority of the time small problems like this doesnt get much attentiion and gets blown off. so yeah...i flashed to pdaultimates's x2 rom and see if it fixes it

Best of luck on that dude, I haven't experienced this myself i've used his roms for years.. so yea, Post in his thread again.. don't be afraid.. maybe some other user has had this.

ill give it another shot...one of my friends double texts me whenever my phone double texts her...its rather annoying lol

[SOLVED] spamming the ROM developement thread?

I mean, if he can really do what he says, its impressive. but he barely releases anything, just speaks about being the first in this or that, without giving any information, or answering the questions, and etc ...
I noticed he is doing the same thing in other htc wp7 devices threads as well.
I definitely value his work, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but i think he should only make new threads when he is actually releasing something, rather than just speaking about what he has achieved.
Edit: He has now released his work in his threads. I'm really sorry for being impatient, and i hope he accepts my sincere apology.

Now i remember this guy from back in HD2 threads, speaking of development of a wp7 rom for hd2 which never came out, and all we got was a 6.5 rom that no one could manage to make it boot except himself...
Now i feel like he is doing the same thing in hd7 rom development ... first this and that ... without really achieving anything.
I definitely value his work if he can really do it, but it seems to me that he is just seeking attention. I don't mean to offend anyone, but i think someone should stop him from making threads which are no use to anyone, and he should be allowed to make thread only when he is actually releasing something, rather than just speaking about what he has achieved.
Mod can delete this thread, its not related to hd7 or anything, i just wanted to share this.

I understand you , but you have to see it as development for later (research)
and you are right that it was better that he released it when it was ready for it , and not half
his next problem is his language , he is writing real poor English , and you have to read his posts 10 times before you understand it
I should wait some days/weeks before a mod should close his threads .
I think he just has to tell some more what he is doing .
the one thing where you are right all the way is ,that he makes way to much threads of the same all over the place .
lets hope he will read this thread and he will tell more of what exactly he is doing .

He is definately making progress and I'm not sure what you mean by barely released anything, he has released a number of roms so far that work exactly the way he said they would and has also posted yesterday and today the first rom's designed to allow you to cross flash between area's and operators. So put a 02 UK Rom on a standard HD7 Europe device etc, etc.

Using TouchWizz apps with CyanogenMod 7 (or another rom not including TW fwk)

Hello,
I'm wondering how to perform this, if this is possible (TW framework perhaps too deep in the system core). I'm aware of Froyo vs Gingerbread issues, but let's consider the apps are working fine in both versions.
Basically i'm using CM7 and i'd like to continue using some TW apps: Camera (mainly for panoramic shot), clock, task manager, samsung apps, and perhaps more.
Anyone able to light me ?

Thank you for the answer, sorry for the 'pollution', using search gave nothing relevant.
On another side, when i see the dev section (this section) as a continuous advertising of roms, i rather find my question pertinent and well targeted - after all, tw is only a set of APIs someone could isolate and provide, and i want to do it on i9000 precisely.

i've ask this yesterday in CM7 Thread, i miss some apps too..
but there is no wy.
maybe when we have a RC some one port some TW apps

There is away to have Touchwiz + Gingerbread. You wait till the end of March for Samsung to release it ;p

if you need Gingerbread & Sammy apps
wait until some betas leak in March or April
some apps work with CM7, e.g. the Voice Recorder, like I already wrote in the CM7 thread,
the MusicPlayer certainly doesn't (it doesn't even show up in the menu)
I'll try some others and see if they work

Well, actually it seems we have GB for i9000, but CM7 is a must have in my opinion
I'm looking for a replacement for TW's Panorama feature in Camera. If anyone can advice me for a similar feature, i'd be glad

I am also interested in working with some Samsung Apps included in stock firmware, mainly Swype and Clock (I miss the intelligent alarm clock). I tried to install Swype from a Titanium backup but it crashes on CM7. How did you install the apps?

if you want swype then just google swype beta and you can get it that way.
as for the clock, I don't think you will be able to get that on CM7. Your best bet is to search the market for an alarm app that hopefully has some similar fetures. I am not aware of one otherwise I'd recommend one.

Need links to old custom ICS ROM

Hi guys, I've been using quite a few brand-name custom JB roms on the GNote Android Development board lately and most of them seem to not like me at all. Some of the roms reboot and get stuck on boot screen, the one with the white text telling you the model and such. It runs like a stabbed rat for a few days before it goes down the drain.I like the smoothness and all, but it's not going to work if my Note decided to catch fever(yes, it heats up while trying to reboot, all while stuck on that dreaded screen).
I'm currently on SlimBean now in hopes to return to a at least functioning TW rom. And my favorite, CleaNote isn't hosted anywhere anymore. As well as the NoteCore links.
I would really appreciate it if anyone could provide links for the latest cleanote and the Notecore/hydracore links. 14.1 if memory serves me right. This ought to keep me sane till the Note finally gives way and finally dies an honorable death.
Battery replaced once due to flickering, changed into Mugen Battery.

Holy crap. What did I do to you ThaiDai. Cleanote has it's mirrors removed because it was linking to another site. Doing a search of "CLEANOTE" on the GN7000 forums yields zero result. I appreciate your work in XDA but I never expected you to pop right in and lay it all on me like I was some forum newbie bashing on anyone.

I have no intention of causing a ruckus at XDA, neither have I ever made any requests for ETA/ranting about devs/etc. All I wanted to do was find a rom that was stable enough that I don't have to fullwipe and full install every few days. And I'm doing this all without *****ing for the most part. Now that I'm in trouble and seeking assistance, I get kicked around?

Well its upto you to save the rom you downloaded because once the dev stops the support. The links are removed. Happened to me as well. Now i just keep that rom on my pc or cloud.
I also didnt get the reason why a working rom needs to be removed even if it is not supported. We can ourself adjust it according to the need.
I would suggest you to search the file hosting sites for such roms oe download it via torrent if u are lucky enough to get the seeds.
I was so in love of criskelos rom. But same happened to his thread.

I know we're to have a safekeep just in case such things happen. But all I did was just ASK if anyone has it that they could upload it or something. I just downloaded a stock LRQ and stripped it down. I don't know what was his build.prop tweaks though.

So i have been laghtly realy into flashing roms and ive had a few already.
-Carbon Rom
-Parandroid
-Supernexus
-CM10
Now i have been getting pretty bored with these so i whas wondering if you guys knew any new ones that are fun and good looking.
I prefer something over either the touchwiz interface because that doesnt change a lot from before i started flashing roms

You won't believe how bored developers are about posts like yours.
This is a really thankful attitude which you show for the endless hours of work the devs put in their roms.
Try to contribute something useful, help other users or stay out of dev-section.
At least learn to read, write and show some gratefulness.
Your question should be adressed to Delphic's oracle. Who the f*ck should know what you find less boring.

Want something new and exciting? Why not try "Ubuntu for phones" (http://www.ubuntu.com/phone)? That is something totally new and something which you'll not fond in the forums here. Also it will save the hard working developers here from the thankless rants.
