Hey guys/girls, hope fully tomorrow will be the day we get some sort of info. After speaking with a rep who I beleive to be honest, ( I've spoken to a lot of them) he told me a few things that have settled my mind. Because I was promised info by email yesterday, I said 'i understand you have gotten a lot of crap off people complaining and stuff probably shouting down the phone' he said yes we're all very stressed because in honesty it has nothing to do with us, we're just the messenger, 'so don't shoot us' he told me that multiple meetings are being held each day for a while now and that today the topic of the TNT delivery for the UK, and that all of our tablets are sitting in a warehouse down in London or where ever, after they got off the plane on Friday. You will get info in the next 2 days and he said 'I myself have spoken to a higher rep who passed messages on to the big guys who have taken into consideration what's going on and we do apologise, and that I'm sure you will be compensated for you're he inconvenience in some way.
If he was telling the truth, he seemed like a good guy though. We could even have them tomorrow, he said that the tracking numbers won't get sent to us till the device is actually on the truck, hence why we haven't heard anything yet. But let's hope for the best we might see some results tomorrow.
I know how eager everyone is at this point and also were dissappointed. But hopefully we won't be held up much longer.
Thanks for letting us know. I am waiting for it here in UK as well. I've been to Currys today in Bracknell, but a guy there said it's not coming to them until September.
That's because of some store changes though. I'm going to check Reading, maybe even tomorrow. I was going to hit London's HMV, but 16th July is said to be only the pre-order day.
Thanks for this heads up
I for one don't care about being compensated. To be honest they're still shipping earlier than I expected in the UK, so I'm all good!
Very nice to know we should hear something tomorrow or Tuesday though. Will be sure to check back here if I get anything through.
Really hope we hear something tomorrow
I was also going to check out HMV, but I realised they will only make me send it back to Asus if there's an issue which could take weeks. It's really not worth the two day wait.
Im so excited I could wee!!!!!
Tbh I'm not that bothered, it'll just be a nice surprise when it does arrive and then I'll have to do the legend of Zelda thing of holding it above my head while running back to my under ground lab
Ah cool I'm glad to hear that, thanks for the info mate!

That would be illegal.
The Sale of Goods Act states that it is the retailer's responsibility to deal with faulty goods, not the manufacturer's. HMV could not legally refuse to handle warranty issues themselves.
Initially, you have a right of rejection if the goods are not fit for purpose, which means you can demand a refund or replacement. There is no fixed period for this as the law has to cover everything from fresh fruit to fidge-freezers and clearly an appropriate rejection period for one would not be appropriate for the other. Normally for electronics, it's between 14 and 28 days though some retailers offer longer or shorter periods.
After that, for the remainder of the first 6 months, HMV would have to either have the tablet repaired or replaced or prove that the fault was not inherent at the time of sale (ie if it were caused by wear and tear, it wouldn't get fixed - but the same applies with most warranties anyway). Then after the first 6 months, for anywhere up to 6 years, you still have legal rights obliging the retailer to help you provided you can prove the fault was inherent at the time of sale.
Now, true, HMV could simply send the tablets on to Asus but that would at least potentially save you the cost of postage.
Not to mention, the Sale of Goods Act also states that any repairs undertaken by the retailer must be completed within a reasonable length of time and without significant inconvenience to the customer - meaning that if it were to take weeks and weeks, you could demand a replacement unit instead; something you couldn't do if you sent it away to Asus yourself.
It pays to know your legal rights.

What if you buy something on ebay lets say a phone that costs 300 bucks and then all you get is something else..Do you get your money back? Does paypal put the payment on hold? What if you`ve already left a positive feedback to the seller..does the seller get in trouble even though you got no prove because youve left a positive feedback to the seller?
All I can say is that every time you make a buy over the internet you are accepting that there is risk implied in the transaction...
I have buyed a lot and to this day I never had any problems, but of course there are others that not ran with that luck.

First, why would you leave positive feedback until the transaction was completed.
That aside, you can still file a complaint with ebay and with paypal and they will investigate. But don't expect much. Their investigations are cursory at best, and most end with " there is nothing we can do " Ebay and Paypal make millions of millions of dollars a year, running very shady businesses .

here i am!
2 times paypal dispute running, 1 time leaved negative feedback in 5 years...
i suggest you not to leave feedbacks before item was received and tested for 24h....if u have issues with received item, first thing is to wrote a email to the seller, wrote him that if he don't want to remedy you leave negative feedback, but if you have leaved positive before, i really don't know what to suggest, maybe asking ebay to remove/change feedback, but first wrote to the seller and wait a reply...
with ebay you must be very carefull, and remember, nothing are free on earth (maybe in space... ), and cheapest items have a reason to be the cheapest one, think everytime on this when buying from ebay.

my first clue is after the sale, he deleted his for sale thread for the Touch Pro and now he's banned.
I think I am going to take action now before it becomes too late. Paid with Paypal and I hope my bank would help out to recover the funds.

this just proves that at least ebay is more reliable than some members here.
i have already opened a case with my bank and paypal to recover the money.
I bought a TM TP2 from someone on ebay about 12 days ago. messaged her a few days later and asked if I could get a tracking number ($12 + $5 insurance, so it definitely had one). No response but the next morning on paypal she marked the item as Shipped.
Yesterday I emailed here asking why she hadn't responded to me and why I still didn't have my phone nicely, but not TOO nice. She never replied, and when I returned from work today I still didn't have my phone. I followed up with a less nice message.
I'm going to email her in the morning if she doesn't reply. And if I don't hear from her or have my phone at my doorstep (or a UPS "we need a signature" slip) when I return from work, I'll email again. Once more in the morning, and if I'm still without a phone by 5:30pm CST on Thursday, I will be taking it up with ebay.
If I get the phone this week, no matter what day, I'm leaving the following feedback:
Rate this transaction. Positive
Please explain: SKIP THIS SELLER. ZERO communication TERRIBLE shipping OVERPRICED shipping.
How accurate was the item description? Accurate
How satisfied were you with the seller's communication? Very unsatisfied
How quickly did the seller ship the item? Very slowly
How reasonable were the shipping and handling charges? Very unreasonable

It was Target. It was probably a mistake on their end, where they were getting rid of older models but didn't want them to go that low. They're already out of stock though.

We will either get the PS3s, or get coupons for something.
I ordered one last night, but I heard this morning they were cancelling all orders due to the misprint. It was worth a shot!
Yeah, it was Target. They tend to mess up like this frequently, lol. A month ago I was able to buy a $50 Playstation card for $18 because they messed up.

Hilarious! At least you tried
I was with a friend waiting at Wal-Mart one time when they printed a great deal on the PS3. Turns out it was a misprint on details of a game/movie combo. We didn't think it was a big deal, but a restless mother that was waiting before us wouldn't let it go so we got a bit of a bonus, too!
Fear not, Amazon! Disclaimer-man is here to save the day!!
From Target.com:
We cannot confirm the price of an item until your order enters the shipping process nor will we charge your credit card until your order enters the shipping process.
Please note that your Order Acknowledgment means that your order request has been received; it does not mean that your order has been shipped or that the price of an item has been confirmed.
Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items on our Web site may be mispriced. As part of our shipping procedures, we verify price before an item is shipped out.
Sorry people, but you never stood a chance of getting that.
Contract law, offers and acceptance. You have to offer to buy something, then the retailer has to accept your offer (or not)
After reading the news that I am still to wait 1-2 weeks for my 16 GB device to ship, I immediately called Google and waited 45 minutes to speak with Chris. I voiced my frustrations over the fact that this had been my SEVENTH call to Google since Thursday and that I want to cancel my order.
He put me on hold, and came back with some interesting news:
1) They have no problem cancelling because of my particular situation (ordered on the 27th, spoke to them 7 times, got different answers...)
2) I can still keep the shipment, refuse it at the door or accept it and then return it within 15 days INCLUDING a full refund to the shipping
3) If I choose to keep it, again because of my specific circumstance, they would be willing to waive the shipping charge on delivery
They also explained to me that Australia is getting their 16 GB devices before Canada because of the SKUs on their specific devices; they ordered these devices specific to each country and they can't rightly send Canadians Australian devices (bull****? I'm not sure...)
Hello Ricky,
Thank you for contacting Google. It was a pleasure getting to speak with
you today. As promised, I have submitted a request to have your shipping
charge waived due to the unexpected delay.
In the meantime, if you have any additional feedback that you'd like to
pass along, please feel free to reply to this email. Your responses will
automatically go to the specialist looking at your case.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding.
Regards,
Chris

So I'm going to keep the shipment and start looking around Montreal to find a 16 GB one. If I don't, I'll accept the package and get the shipping waived. If I can find one, I'll just return it free of charge.
One last thing: he also said he'd be VERY surprised if the people who bought from the Play store don't get something else as a courtesy as a result of this mishap...

Bought brand new N6 from Google Play, open it and see scratches, a minor indentation and what looks like bubbling in the back cover of the phone. Called Google and spoke with a CSR and a manager, both say Google does not cover cosmetic damage they will only take the phone back and give a new one if there is something wrong with the functionality of the phone. Has anyone else been in this situation? What did you do?
I just spent $750 on what is suppose to be a premium device. Receiving it brand new from the factory with many significant cosmetic defects is unacceptable. How can Google not stand behind their product?

I would argue until they give it to you. They can't send you a beaten up device like that and refuse to replace it... keep trying man.
People hate on apple, but it's times like this it's nice to walk in to a physical store and get it swapped.

Yeah, you couldn't have had it for more than 14 days yet. You should be able to return it.
You should also get purchase protection from your credit card company if all fails....

Returning it would mean having to wait for stock again, which is stupid. And I'll post pics later.
Just brick it then tell them it won't turn on.
Use social media to Tweeter and Facebook and you will see how quickly they will replace it for you.also, file complaint with BBB.

Call them back and tell them you are going to dispute the transaction with your credit card issuer. Also mention that you have already posted a warning online on places like XDA etc and tell them you are going to make a YouTube video that outlines the cosmetic flaws and your experience with the Google Play Store.
I just recently did this with something car related I bought that turned out to be in my opinion defective. I called customer support and recorded the call which is legal in most states and they were pretty much douches about my issue.
I told them if they didn't make it right I would post a review of their product and customer support on YouTube and do a charge back. The girl I spoke with basically told me to do what I had to do so I did. I called my card issuer and did a charge back under there customer satisfaction policy for internet purchases. I made a YouTube video outlining the product, the defect as I saw it and then gave a detailed accounting of my customer service experience WITH the call attached. I posted it on YouTube, put the link on several car forums and emailed the company the YouTube link and forum links. With 4 business days I received an email asking me to call a direct number which turned out to be a manager at the company who apologized and made it right with me. I left the video up but did update it to say they finally took care of me.
Side note, I got my money back from the card issuer the day I called AND the company sent me a new one and didn't even ask me to return the old one. They also never disputed my charge back oddly enough. It was a $1110.00 dollar electronic item for my Mitsubishi Lancer EVO.
It works 99% of the time.
Dispute the charges. They'll either replace it or you'll get your money back.

Hi,
The last black Friday i purchased 3 skins for my brand new Galaxy Note 8 and I choose slickwraps over Dbrand because I've read some bad experience reviews with dbrand delivery, and decided to buy the Slickwraps and a Rhyno Shield the 24th of November/17.
The Rhyno Shield supposed to be shipped from China and the skins from USA, and since I live in South America I thought that as usual, the package sent from NJ will arrive first via FedEx than the package sent from other continent via China Express, but i got my Bumper after 30 days and almost 90 days after the purchase, still haven't received my skins.
At first they answer my mail saying that it should get with a different tracking number, and I should track it through my local post office, but 4-72, the national postal office says they haven't received any package with any of the numbers provided.
Long story short, I'm selling my phone and haven't yet receive my skins, they're not answering my mails, and not even answer my money back request, since I'm not keeping the phone.
Does anyone have suffered a similar situation? Any advices?

Ohhh don't let me start with this.. This company is the worst, believe me dbrand are angels compared to them..
My story is, purchased first week of January, it was 5 skins for my P2XL and note8 (not a small or cheap purchase).. Kept emailing them starting from the 3rd week of January, they totally ignored me, they didn't reply for a long time, then when they replied, they simply said they are busy with orders... Thats the worst answer any customer can ever get.. Long story short, i kept sending emails afterwards, then started requesting to cancel my order for another week.. And still ignoring me, then by the 2nd week of February, i received an email that my order has been shipped.. And few hour after that, they reply to me saying "sorry we can't cancel orders that have been shipped, and you only can cancel orders within 2 hours of placing them".. I can't believe how this company deals with its customers, they think that we are that stupid.. Unbelievable.. I think everyone should boycott them, for real..
The simplest thing i always say to allll companies, if you can't handle the orders, you are better off stop taking orders than killing your customers and your reputation.. What kind of a business mind do those people have..
FYI: BEFORE ANYONE JUMPS HERE, I HAVE PROVES, EMAILS, Purchase DATES, REPLIES THAT PROVES EVERYTHING.. AM SAYING THAT BECAUSE I KNOW such companies have their own undercover users who will start to reply here and make life great.. I've seen it many times here.. And happened to me..

I bought 3 skins, and nothing. The worst customer service ever.
And they use the cheapest postal service. At least charge me a few dollars for shipping and don't use Ultra old postal service in diligencies pulled by horses across the west.
