try mounting system in recovery first, then flash it. I'm not using safestrap right now so I unzipped the file and manually copy and posted what was inside and it worked fine.

I did this with both mount/System and flash along with copy and paste. This did work for everything except for Gmail and Facelock. I completely lost the Gmail app and the facelock option when trying both ways.
I am not sure what I will try next. Going to have to noodle it a bit. Really like the magazine apk!
Yeah I had that same problem with Gmail. Didn't try the face unlock though. Magazines is pretty cool, but I'm loving the sound search widget. Better than shazam and soundhound

Did not coping the gmail apk over work for you?
No, it would show in /system/app but not in my app drawer. The other weird thing that happened is after I got the jb versions running, the ones that came stock on the bionic "updated" to their "current" versions. Had to disable auto update to keep them.

I flashed the Froyo update and it seems to work well but I cannot find the Adobe Flash 10.1 beta in the market.
Anyone know how I can load this application?
You can find a "Download Latest Flash Player" link on this page: http://onix-android.com/2010/06/onix-2-0-beta0/
What I've found with flash is it doesn't work with some apps. There's a fix for it whick actually uses nexus 1 flash app and it work beautiful on my phone. I couldn't use hulu before I installed it or some other things I had to uninstall the previous version I had and then install the nexus one which is a fixed version of flash 10.1 and work well. For hulu after fixing flash there is another version of app that is not on the market that has a couple scripts built in to make it work. Hope this helps

Which file is this one? I did some searching on the Nexus thread for flash and found a few different download links, so not sure which one specifically you were referring to as the "fix" version.
I still have the file its called "flash-fix-nexus.apk". If I can find it again ill post a link or even better I would upload it if possible. I don't have a computer so ill look into it.

Thanks! With that file name I was able to locate the post with the download link here: [Fix] Hulu working + Flash.apk June 17th
No problem, glad it worked. Its been running great since I used it and can watch some episodes with hulu now but the device heats up extremely quick and battery don't last long so becareful if you use. Mine got to 134 degrees and it wouldn't charge till it cooled down but it takes a lot of processing for flash to work.

Well had flash and hulu working with bb v0.4 but I had just switched to sapphire v0.8.4 and flash doesn't work again. Stumped! Or is it because sapphire is from different or newer build. Anyone have a suggestion without flashing back to bugless beast. Been using nexus flash fix and hulu fix but doesn't work with sapphire rom.

It should work if you install via Root Explorer (package installer) and reboot.

I installed it like any other app on cm7 rc11. Now works almost fine. I didnt use root explorer or anything else at all. Maybe the package has problems. Download it from android central stie or androidandme site and try again.
That was easy.
Downloaded from the multiupload direct link, installer ran it automatically, then it installed quick like a bunny.
Surprised that the app is pretty snappy now after a sluggish first impression.

I just installed it on my Motorola Droid 1. It works great! better than the old app market. This new is look SWEET!!!! This new app is awesome!!!
Have also installed it now, on top of iceandfire/CM7. Installed it normally (no Rootexplorer) and the market is working flawlessly.
Seems like this version of Android Market downloads to /cache instead of /sdcard/downloads (as in the CM version). Since I have dalvik-cache on /cache, downloads/updates for large apps fail :/

I don't understand something about this new market. How the heck am I supposed to update an app when there is only one app that has an update? I click the app and it says open, then I go back and it shows an update still. It doesn't show an 'update all' button like when there are multiple apps that have updates.
EDIT: The app, it insists on staying in the update available list even when it is already updated. The only way to resolve this was to reboot. This new market has some bugs that need fixed, as with any first release. The honeycomb market had quite a few issues as well when it first came out, but they have since then been resolved.
Isn't the new market slower than the current one for you guys?
i like the new markwt because of its design
Hi guys I did something dumb last night as I was tired and not thinking. I installed the new market (vending.apk) on my Xoom and quickly realized its for phones only
Anyone have a link to the stock vending.apk ?
I thought you could go into manage applications, find market and click uninstall updates.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA Premium App
I tried the same with same result
Could not get the app back, even with TB. Honeycomb-market consists of 2 files: vending.apk and finsky.apk. Finally I had to rip the files from out of the file "system.img" (part of the AU-Telstra-FW) by using "unyaffs", copied them back to "/system/app" and set the permissions to "rw-r-r". APKs from Tiamat-ROM didn't work, tried that first w/o success...
I could upload them to my Dropbox, but i'm not sure if they'll work for you...
Edit:
Uploaded mine: http://db.tt/cTCSrkb
To replace them in the file system you have your Xoom to be rooted.

I went 902 to 905 renamed zip to update.zip and it was a no go.
No need to rename it. But when you say "a no go" that's really not providing any information that people can help you with. Some versions of this put the update zip inside another zip with a crc file. If that's the version you have, you need to unzip the update zip and put that on your sdcard-ext. Then go into recovery and do the update from zip option.
Does this leak make all Bionics run at 1.2GHz, or are people like me with a certain revision processor not going to see that boost in performance?
Waiting official version hihihi

Only 1 number really? 1 number can be major differences. You really can't tell anything by a number.
Just an FYI.
As I was preparing to sideload this and had just gotten a fresh build of 905 loaded, I rebooted and was greeted with a notification to download this update to my phone!
I am not on the soak test list nor am I registered for the Bionic on Motorola's support site. This means that this version will definitely be the OTA and will likely start pushing out to all users very shortly.
I had a friend ask me is he could borrow a phone and I came across my old DX. Is there even development still going on for this now Dinosaur?

The first thing to do is make sure your recovery is up to date. You can do that with the Rom manager app. It probably is the latest version but, it is better to check first. Then you have to decide if you want to go back to stock and take all the updates. The last update was a month or two ago and had a few security things. It's still GB. If you do then you'll be on a version ending in .621. After that you'll have to find compatible roms. The Liquid linked above is the most up to date version compatible with .621.
Good luck.

Thanks! I too just came across my DX which I had since launch, since it was with my car dock, Im gonna try to see what I can use it for as a companion to my pc...like maybe a desk mounted fan controller or temp monitor would be cool since I love to overclock (computers). Although its likely wishful thinking aside from some bluetooth tools from msi afterburner and such, its amazing the phone got up to ICS.
Might try it out later this week, last rom I had was one of the liberty 2.2.1 builds which were one of my fav at the time. Having gone from the DX, to rezound, and now note2. The DX was probably one of the best rom developed phones out there in its time aside from the nexus.

Framaroot, yes, is an apk. install the apk, and choose the gimli option. it will tell you that root was sucessful, and to reboot your phone. after you reboot, install bootstrap from either dx, d2, or d3 (d3 is most up to date, no known updated recovery available?)
You are correct about the 605/621 sbf info. once you flash 621, you can't go back. there are ROMs for both versions. I don't have experience with 605, but yes, you can upgrade to ICS from 621. From what I've read, no one has successfully gotten a JB ROM (CM10, 10.1, or 10.2) to work. There are at least 2 ppl who are going to attempt a KK build. wether or not it boots and is functional, only time will tell.
