Hi, Is there a working sim toolkit apk for this rom? or is there another ICS rom for SGT7 that has a built-in working sim tookit apk?
I tried other sim toolkits apks and they open but it wont send any messages to my carrier.
Thank you.

I finally discovered what it is that causes a very annoying icon I have in my notification bar and am not able to get rid of.
I tried the Modaco rom for a couple of days and the icon was gone, now I am back to CyanogenMod and the icon is back again.
I tried force closing Sim Toolkit and yes, the icon disappears, unfortunately, so does my connection.
Is there any way to simply uninstall Sim Toolkit, since I assume the phone should be working without it as it is not there in the Modaco roms?
The Sim Tool Kit is part of the stock image. You will need to root and install something like Titanium Backup which allows you to uninstall stock applications.
Ok so I just got my Milestone rooted yesterday and installed iceandfire custom rom on it.
After doing so, I found out that there's no Android Market app installed on it. After a quick Google search, it seems there is no official download link for the app, and that it only comes pre-installed on certain devices, not all of them.
Anyway, I did some search and found that I can easily install it by just downloading the .apk file and use Astro (which comes pre-installed with iceandfire) to install it. I found the link here:
http://www.theandroidsoul.com/downloadinstall-new-android-market-apk-application-v-3-0-26/
So I downloaded it and it installed fine. I then launch it and it pops up a message saying I don't have an account and then I need to sign in or create one. I click on OK to create one but nothing pops up. I rebooted my phone and did it again, still the same thing. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I've tried many suggestions, mostly from here:

and none of it works. Can someone give me some help?

You need to first flash Google Apps (gapps) and you will get the Market and other Google services. You can create a gmail account on your computer and use that to sync with your phone.

Ya I already have a Gmail account, just couldn't figure out how to get it to work with Android Market.
Hmm I also did find some info on gapps, I downloaded it but couldn't install it using Astro. Do I put that in the updates folder, the same as where I put the custom rom, and then apply the update? Would I have to remove the custom rom first to prevent it from flashing my phone again?
YOU HAVE TO FLASH GAPPS !!!
Do it like you flashed Ice and Fire and any other MOD in OR !!
Some times it's very important to READ a Thread and don't only search for Downloadlinks.

yup, got it flashed and installed successfully. Now I have another problem, I can't seem to get it to sign in? I get this message:
"cannot establish a reliable data connection to the server. This could be a temporary problem or your sim card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues call customer care"
At first I thought it's probably my connection, so I tried using 3G instead of WIFI, but still the same thing. I then tried to create an account but it gave me the same error, so I can't create or sign in at all.
I did a quick search and people have said it could be that the SIM card or your service provider doesn't support it or something. Which doesn't make sense as why would setting up an account like this be relevant to your service provider? It's just the same as setting up an exchange or email account on any device.......also, while I was still using Windows Mobile on my Xperia X1 or HTC Touch Pro, I was able to install Android on it and went through the same setup process and got it working properly. So I don't think it's gotta do with the SIM card....
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone here had had any luck getting Verizon's Visual Voicemail App working on CM11 or another AOSP based ROM. The only ROM I have been able to get it to go on is Raging Bionic, presumably because it's a Blur-Based ROM. I've tried using Titanium to backup and restore the APK, but I repeatedly get an Unable to Contact Server Error when I try to check for new massages. Anyone else had better luck?
Thanks.
I installed an ota on my dual sim htc one 802d. i was rooting my phone later but i ended up removing most of the system apps.. like notes, calculator etc.. can anybody help me anyhow to restore these apps?
The SIM Toolkit doesn't show in the app drawer in CM11 with TWRP on my S3 Mini. It worked fine with the stock rooted ROM. The Stk.apk file is there in /system/app and has the correct ownership and positions. I've tried turning on the SIM lock, clearing cache and dalvik, rebooting, airplane mode on and off, and a few other suggested solutions but nothing worked. There are a lot of carrier (Telcel Mexico) applications that are on the SIM and can only be accessed with this. Anyone find a solution?
(I would of put this under the ROM thread but being new, the board won't let me).

Hi, for me helped uninstall updates and clear data in settings->apps->all->SIM toolkit then reboot. I'm not sure if I wiped cache+dalvik cache.
I'm on this [GT-I9001][ROM][ION][KK][4.4.4][KTU84P] CyanogenMod 11.0 by ADC-Team - Release 9 (ION) - Kernel 3.4.x ROM.
