[Q] Visual Voicemail on Custom ROM? - Motorola Droid Bionic

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone here had had any luck getting Verizon's Visual Voicemail App working on CM11 or another AOSP based ROM. The only ROM I have been able to get it to go on is Raging Bionic, presumably because it's a Blur-Based ROM. I've tried using Titanium to backup and restore the APK, but I repeatedly get an Unable to Contact Server Error when I try to check for new massages. Anyone else had better luck?
Thanks.

nexus one market issues, PLEASE HELP :(

i recently noticed when i try to download any app from the android market or update an app it will act like its starting the download but then never actually start it. im running the latest cyanogen rom. i have tried wiping and reflashing the latest cyanogen rom and reflashing the google apps addon. i have tried restoring to a previous backup when the apps were working in the market. i have tried flashing a non cyanogen rom even. nothing i can think of (my thoughts are limited since im fairly new at all this) and still no success. i had the same problem on my g1 with cyanogen and i somehow managed to get that working again by trying similar things but no luck yet with my nexus one and its really upsetting me. any ideas on how i can go about fixing this? thanks for all your help. i have also tried uninstalling the market updates and signing into other google apps like talk to try and jump start it on the advice of someone from another forum.

[Q] how to make apps auto restore like cyanogen rom does?

Just a question - does anyone know how to duplicate the functionality of the cyanogen rom where the last few times ive flashed to it from another rom - its most favorite feature for me has been how it restores all the previously installed apps that were on the last rom.
How does it do this? Is it related to the version of the market apk that comes with it?
any ideas anyone? this is a killer feature and seems to be something to do with how it syncs contacts and settings to the google cloud - but why doesnt the factory roms restore these settings as well?
anyone actually know how this works at all?
cheers

Install Talk on ROM w/ Hangouts built-in

I'm trying to install Talk on TrickDroid8 since it comes built-in with Hangouts. I've tried restoring from TB (from a backup from stock on 4.1.2) and it just keeps restoring forever. Also tried copying Talk.apk to system/apps, but that didn't seem to work either. Any ideas on how I could install Talk?
you may find a solution in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2286600
Hi, thanks for that. I tried that earlier but that VOICE and VIDEO calls don't seem to work so that's why was wondering if there was a flashable solution, maybe?

[Q] Nexus 6 Sprint MMS Issues

Hello everyone,
I'm having issues with sending and receiving MMS on non-stock roms.
I have been running Euphoria with everything fine and decided to preform a clean install for the "Official" release. This is when my problem started.
LTE and 3G data seem to be working (flashed the supplied sprint.zip in the Euphoria forum).
I switched to Chroma rom and have the same result, data working but no MMS. (Didn't flash the sprint.zip since it wasn't listed)
Switched to Stock, and everything works. I try to backup the APN settings from stock and move them over with no luck.
Deleting all APNs except the MMS APN doesn't seem to help either.
I've looked through this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/nexus-6-sprint-users-thread-t2949996) and still haven't been able to figure out how to fix this issue.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get this working?
Thanks!
Found Issue!
Hello everyone!
As a follow up I would like to post the solution that I found to my problem.
I was using the "Aroma LP GAPPS" package (http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/gapps-lp-gapps-pa-gapps-aroma-installer-t3010798)
I believe when it was deleting the stock messenger it was messing up MMS somehow.
Changing GAPPS packages did the trick!

I always use Slim (full) gapps. I have a Sprint N6 as well. Glad you found a solution to your problem. If you ever have any other issues feel free to message me on here or on hangouts. Have a good one.
Thanks!

Backup native email app

Has anyone worked out how to do this? Running stock android 9, pop 3 account. I know I should have been using k9 mail which I used to use.
I want to either get them onto my PC or an asus phone.
Thanks for any help.
With root, data backup is possible via NeoBackup, however the state of being logged in after restoration doesn't work with all apps.
Are you asking how to get the apk ?
You can try looking for it in apkmirror (any user can share the apps over there) or better extract it from the official firmware using Xperifirm.
