English please, if you prefer some other to give help.
1st of all must ensure which brick issue u facing now. And give full detail of rom and kernal status before your phone got bricked. And provide what you have done before your phone got bricked.

I see, that means u never do any full wipe or nand restore before your phone got bricked.
That means now you totally unable to boot into download mode and recovery mode as well right?

Ok, it seems your phone not having superbrick issue. It might related to hardware problem.
Do you try with other battery?
Do you able to hear the booting animation sound while you switch on the phone even blank screen?

I see, now what you can do, is make sure your battery charged. Then like usual press those 3 combo button ( download mode) for 10 second. Then try to connect with pc odin. And check pc odin able to detect your phone or not.

Just curious if this kernel also contains the brickbug and if I should return to speedmod or other friendly kernel. The one I got installed by kies is now:

No stock ICS kernel is safe.. Only Custom kernels with the MMC_CAP_ERASE disabled are safe.
Of Course YES if u will not flash any rom.... If u r thinking to do so..Think once again..It can cost u around 600$..

Well that was my question. So the samsung kernel does have the brickbug in it still? So I should flash the speedmod kernel which has the erase disabled?

there have been isolated reports of getting brick using CF kernel as well. Though it has yet to be confirm on the how's and why's it got bricked.
Generally still. kernels that have the MMC_Cap_Erase command disabled should be okay.

This issue is with the cwm. Exe file only so far, which I believe is a shortcut root to rooting on ics. All kernels that have cwm baked in are ok.

Very true!
Bricked mine last week trying to installed cooked ROM.
Send it back to Samsung for repair under warrenty and they kindly fixed it for me.
Also installed ICS 4.0.4 for me too (It went with ICS 4.0.3).
Got back in 5 day including shipping back and forth. They even sent the bag for it.
Pretty happy with service.

You mean cwm.zip? BTW if people flash stock GB, root it using Zergrush Exploit and then flash CM9 or any other ROM with a safe kernel for that matter i think this issue wouldn't be there.

Hi,
So I've recently tried to root my Note and put it on PA0.5 ROM and it gets stuck on splash screen. Dr.Ketan told me to use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1763151 and I've followed it completely. But as soon as I get to install via recovery it gets stuck. I've read threads like this but most people loose recovery and get stuck but mines stuck w/ recovery. So please someone help me!
Thanks
Weeo
P.s. As soon as I get this fixed I can start making my LGUI3.0 ROM

In what situation you are in now ? Are you trying to flash ICS stock rom now ? If it so I would recommend to stop it and flash GB Rom using PC Odin.
I was on stock ICS originally, followed that guide to get on GB+ROOT. Flashed PA in recovery and it doesnt fail, it 'installs' and then i reboot and it doesmt work.. Also o did wipe everything
Back on stocl ICS

Don't worry, if you don't know what it is then you didn't repartition. Do you know what version of cwm recovery you have? Press and hold power, home and volume up till it reboots into cwm.

Yes... I did it..
N nothing brick issues..
ICS rom is safe..
which makes the brick is the stock ICS kernel...
So do not do the wipe when you're still using the stock kernel..
Flash Abyss kernel first..
N then do the wipe using abyss kernel..

Don't do this unless you are on Safe kernel. If you do this on Stock ICS Kernel you could very easily Brick your device.
Flash a safe kernel like Philz and then perform any wipes (if required)
