I have been playing with my buddies GS3 and i liked some of the features on it. one in particular was the screenshot. Does anyone know if the Atrix HD have something like that?
Yes. The Atrix HD has a stock screen shot function. Just hold the Power and Volume Down buttons together for about 1-2 seconds, then release. Nice and easy.

Hey Xda Friends! ;D
Just saw the keynote of the new HTC Sense HD, and thought..
Could it be possible to port it to the Legend?
Well.. Not in full HD, but.. with skins and stuff!
Unlikely, you'd have to know the the entire system inside-out to work it out.
Oh well.. ;D

Hmm.. Ok
Thanks for your answer
It might happen, I and really hope it does. But I don't have the skills to do it (yet), and I doubt anyone who does is interested.
The new sense would be great just for this feature:

Or even if that single feature could be ported across

Primarily because of this: 4 front buttons - build quality?
suit yourself..I've had my phone for months and my buttons are fine.
SO, Is there any way to flip the screen rotation 180 degrees? I fond it alot more comfortable to hold my phone while charging and listening to music where the plugs are on the bottom instead of the top. Is there an app or mod out there where you can do that? I be looked but to go. ): Thanks!

I would like this functionality as well. The feature is in Cyanogenmod...is there anyway to unlock it in other ROMs?

Haven't thought much about this but there's been a few times where I wanted this to work, it would be nice feature indeed, but no biggie. I'm actually hoping for the cyannogenmod "CRT on" animation to be added as well.
Swiped from my SGH-I897 using Tapatalk
cyanogen is the only only rom to have that functionality to my knowledge and you would have to ask your rom dev to implement it. same goes for the old tv on and off animation but that is something google themselves implemented with 2.3 so its buried in the code somewhere. and im sure if you ask your rom dev nicely and maby donate a coupple bucks im sure they would be more than happy to enable those features
Agreed! Just donate/ask nicely! or flash cm7
This may be a dumb question, but being that our phone the LG Thrill 4G is a 3D phone would it be possible to create a bootanimation in 3D? I think it would be a great way to show off the 3D capability of the phone.

3d requires drivers and an app to disay in 3d. gallery is what displays photos in 3d, video player does videos and games do it themselves. other things dont have that ability which is why you need the 3d converter to view other things in 3d it is the converter that enables it. the drivers would have to be loaded before the boot animation and the 3d would have to be implemented into what displays the boot animation. it would require a lot of work and not even sure if it is possible to do at all. im sure if it was lg would have been more than happy to show it off.
now i could be wrong this is pretty much just me making an assumption based on what i have learned.

I agree that it would be awesome. I for one just wish they would implement more 3D than just games. I saw a article of theirs saying they still feel 3D is the future and will stay behind it, but if the 3D is only really going to be good for games, whats the point? Just my opinion

well it is just starting out right now it is only games soon you never know, the whole phone could be in 3d with option to make 2d. the launcher, app drawer, boot anim and all apps could be in 3d one day. your icons would look like they were a few inches above the actual screen and using advanced proximity sensing tech they could make it to where you can actual press the icons without actually touching the phone.
imagine the icons and dock popping out at your face and you can select something by pressing the icon "in the air" your brain would think that you were actually touching the icon it would look like you did but your finger is actually inches away from your phone. the phone will be able to tell the difference between a finger selecting something or just an object coming close. this i think is what lg is trying to work towards. a full featured interactive 3d experience

woah, if that is indeed the future of 3d, i'm definatelly taking the Thrill from my wife and lettin' her have the Sky Rocket, lol(Not that she'd let me;(..)

Need to remember that it would only work in landscape mode... you can't see the three dimensional effect when holding your phone vertical

When I saw treks post I was going to say the same thing. I can almost guarantee that one day they will even have screens that will be 3d no matter the andgle. Stereoscopic is a very primitive form of displaying 3d it has been around for decades and I am talking more than 2. Won't it be something when your phone doesn't really have a screen so to speak it will have a projector that actually creates everything as a hologram a few inches above the surface... well that's pretty far in the future but i could see it happening. You might even be able to lay your phone flat on a table and watch a movie in full 3d holographic display. If you are in front you see the actors faces if you are in the back you see the back.of their heads. Now that would be awesome.

Curious as to what you all use, see what the majority is.
Errm, what's a Phablet?
I assume he means the phone style (stock) vs. tablet style (requires root).

Just a term I heard used, because the UI is hybrid tablet/phone. Phone + Tablet = Phablet.
Will be using rob43's Salad Bar II as soon as it comes out.
Tablet mode is unsatisfactory to me, as the back button is put on the far left of the screen, while I favor my right hand.
Stock but fully locked in landscape mode.
tablet mode
Just got mine today and turning in tablet was the second thing I did (after rooting it ). I'm not fully committed to it yet. There seems to be a bit of wasted space on the home screen where you can't put widgets or icons but I think I prefer it to phablet.
I tried Tablet ui, but in my opinion, it wasn't that good. I actually love the phone ui as it looks just right and to me, it's perfect just the way it is
I am using true tablet mode, I exclusively use my N7 in landscape, unless an app forces me to use portrait so it just works better.
Phone UI.

I want to use it in tablet mode but i keep reading about issues people are having so i haven't tried it. I did like the layout on my transformer prime better.
Mostly i dislike the centered navigation buttons(I use mine in landscape pretty much always) and the landscape lockout on the home screen. If someone could modify the launcher only into tablet mode without a dpi or build.prop change I'd try it.

There's a free app called Set Orientation that lets you lock everything in landscape mode.

It's called Hybrid UI. Phablet UI would be something designed for actual phablets, such as the Galaxy Note.
I enjoy the hybrid UI. I'm already used to my Galaxy Nexus and it's great to be able to have them set up almost identical to one another. I like the having consistency between my devices.
I'm digging the latter, but I prefer to name it the 'tablone'

not a fan of the true tablet mode on this guy ..... I like it set up just like my GSIII
As my SIG states....

Using the hybrid atm. Sounds sad but I'm too lazy to switch it over plus I got a replacement coming and it would be pointless for me to. I actually like the hybrid myself.
Hey guys,
I'm new over here because I just upgraded from my Xperia S to an Xperia T (dont ask haha) so hi .
basically the first thing I thought when using the phone was what a waste the buttons were as they took up quite a good part of the screen, and so despite being 0.3" bigger than the Xperia S this was not noticeable. I also hated the aspect ratio of the screen love a good 16:9
anyway after searching on here and around for ages I finally came across a simple solution that works very well
its this app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys
I bought the pro version and its def worth it, because this is such an amazing set up!
sorry if this is already well known on here, but thought I'd share anyway, oh and if you find you can't activate the buttons in the camera mode its because you have to swipe from the side (it thinks its landscape, same with full screen games)
Very nice, I love this
I like it too

Thanks, just had a play with it. but prefer the one I posted in this thread because you can customise much more like make the icons xperia and not google nexus style, also it hides the current on screen buttons without needing to do anything yourself so more simple for people.
also guys what I realised is its best to select 'spoof soft keys' otherwise apps will open without the more options button so you'll have no way to get into further settings etc.
