rom manager makes it easier to reflash and then reboot to recovery if you're on stock where recovery is written over

Do you have Rom Manager? If not you can download it from the Play Store. Inside of Rom Manager there is an option to flash the latest CWM recovery.
@OP...now that we have the official version can you boot into recovery using the bootloader screen (button style) or does it still have to be plugged in via usb? I just hope we can use the buttons now instead of an app or usb method.
You can download it from here
http://clockworkmod.com/rommanager
Just look for nexus 7.

i am also unable to boot into recovery from bootloader.
How do you flash back to stock recovery?
EDIT: I see Tookit 1.52 has the ability to reflash recovery, but does it include the stock one?
Do the OTA work if using CWM recovery?
Thanks,

hmm thanks. I wonder why its still not available through the bootloader screen? I thought for sure the 'official' version would allow this method. Oh well, I guess we need to use the app or usb method until this is resolved.

Hi all !
On the new ROM (v20C) was found that there is Three-Button Recovery mode.
Hold down the G + Volume Up + Power Button and so enter this mode.
And G + Volume down + Power Button - reset settings.
:good:
What does it do..? I Just got A message Like in screenshot and nothing happened...
The fact that we were able to enter the mode Retsovery means that unlocked bootloader.
With this mode, you can install any firmware and kernel without fearing the consequences. You need to choose software for this. Need help developers.
You have adb root if I'm not mistaken. ( adbd i started as root in script in official recovery image)
Maybe the security error comes from incompatibility of how recovery is started.
Oh boy, if only I had that 1 year ago.
Fine...

Not yet. I don't think it's necessary since we can always just use old bootloader thats unlocked and modify kernel to be compatible.

Hey guys, so I was easily able to unlock the bootloader. However, the problems began when I flashed recovery. After that I have been getting only bootloops. Thus, I did a factory reset, which fixes it, however, once I restart or turn the phone off the bootloops start again. Which means I am constantly factory resetting my phone. Does anyone know how to fix this?

thanks for all your help!! I think i may have got it. I reflashed recovery then rebooted the bootloader, then booted into recovery through the bootloader, then wiped everything. It seems to boot now and I am able to restart and shut down without a problem. Hopefully it sticks. Thanks again for taking the time I really appreciate it.
So like an idiot I completley wiped the phone and my recovery using TWRP. I can still access TWRP and the OEM HBOOT/FASTBOOT menu but I deleted the OS. I tried to restore using RUU but the program is not recognizing the phone. The computer does recognize the phone though. I'm just suck on the "F" boot logo. Any ideas?

for flashing recovery you need a PC, at least I don't know about another way you have to connect it via usb, reboot your phone to fastboot and use this commands from your fastboot folder on your PC (recovery.img needs to be in same folder)

yes this can be a problem for updating. you have to be completely stock to be able to install an OTA update. I posted a guide before how to revert everything. I think this is the easiest way.
but root is not the cause that you can't flash your stock recovery. Is your One recognized by your computer correctly? To be sure that the drivers are OK and the right ones you can install HTC Sync

I flashed the deodexed version, first I just did a dirty flash, since I was coming from unrooted stock, so I thought maybe ifi go through all the wiping steps, factory reset and then flash but it still fc s. Second thing I thought maybe I'll try the odexed version since I'm coming from stock unrooted and the link won't work. The little green download button pops up but when it's pressed nothing happens then says page won't load. Any ideas?
