first, i am sorry for requesting the expert devs or anyone else, to port this Kernel.. as this is a very battery friendly kernel in my galaxy ace.
this kernel is actually done for the Nexus S, but i see no more development in Nexus S section.. or the expert devs can please make a kernel that focused in battery life ? thanks before..

Have you tried the current custom kernels?
I am using SpeedMod 3-9 and it has an excellent battery life - on heavy usage (internet, emails, ebook reading, messaging and phone calls) I reach the end of the day with at least 30% left - and I am talking about heavy use - around 4-5 hours.
For me this is more than enough.
But I am using "ondemand" CPU governor. If I change to "powersave" the battery consumption will be even lower, I think.
My suggestion to you - give it a try - our beloved Note is one of the best in battery tests - and with these tricks it is even better!

You even can reduce power by using a single collar wallpaper.
For black take a picture in bl&white in the lowest resolution with the lens covered with your finger.
You can select this picture as background.
If you like an other single collar you can do it with a paper of your choice

really ? i'm using that for one day, with heavy use of emails, texts, and watching CCTV in my office with 3G always + wifi = end up 10% in 6 P.M from 7 A.M. and one more thing, i love live wallpapers, so i use Koi wallpaper, and auto brightness.. i thought that with 2500 MAh battery it would last more than 1 days of heavy use... you know, i seldom use that in my house, but very heavy user in the office, no games.

bump, how about this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257497 ? more kernels = more choices for users

there is already a ton of custom kernels for the note, Surely you havent tested them all ?
99% of battery drain is down to the user ! anyone will confirm this, You should look a bit deeper into your configuration.
start from a full wipe, test several kernels and try all of the Governors & Schedulers, Use something like 'better battery stats' for precise information of which apps use most power, fiddle with settings like auto-sync, wifi off when sleeping, data network deactivated when not in use ect ect.
1 day battery life is about the average for the average user, This is a powerful device with a massive screen and 2 CPU's, you cant expect the stock battery to last forever, Maybe consider an extended battery ?

Tons ? You gotta be kidding me.. i tested goku, speedmod, notecore. I believe speedmod is just a bit better, but not yet satisfied me. full wipe in ics roms is a troublesome work . Now i use lulzactive governor, sio scheduler, underclock to 800 MHz but still :/ . Extended battery ? Seems a good idea...

For the usage you described, it seems that no modern smarphone would handle it - maybe the Moto Maxx, with its huge battery - but it is not in the league of the Galaxy Note.
But, instead of going to an extended battery solution, which would make your Note heavy and thick, you could go for a "spare battery" solution. And you can find plenty of good quality batteries+charger for less than $20 on Ebay - this should solve your problems entirelly.

well yes im searching for extended battery with a capacity of 4000 MAh or bigger. and also, i'm using all of the battery tweaks available for android devices. but still havent sastisfied me

For an extended battery the general opinion seems to be that Mugen 5400mAh rules.

Well you have said it all and given your own answer in your post - you are a heavy user and there are no scripts on xda that will give you additional battery unless you bring 2 or 3 stock batteries with you.
Extended battery is a bit too big in my opinion and will make the Note really too bulky, but if you don't mind the size this is definitely the way to go to have more juice by the end of the day.

[Q] Looking for the most battery efficient rom/kernel combo

I am going to be traveling in Asia for a month. I don't need any of bells and whistles and I want a phone that is very stable, very energy efficient and GPS camera definitely has to works. Which rom/kernel will you recommend? any setting tricks? Thanks
I have tried Rod's MiuiMod, CM6.1.1, CM7 and many others.
I found that CM7 + WM 1/6/2011 kernel gives me the best battery life, but CM7 is still not in stable stage yet.
I have had the most battery life with Enomthers Rom, currently he is away on personal responsibilities but his latest stable rom is very battery efficient!
I have no recommendation as to kernel/rom combinations, but for long battery life I use this:
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innocell-Battery-Google-Replacement/dp/B003FSTBP4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1296521084&sr=8-2
I got really tired of barely making through a day without having to recharge so I bought one of these. I got mine for $61 on Amazon and free shipping. It's 3200mah which is over twice the stock battery. My first full charge/discharge cycle I got over 34 hours of moderate usage and it's supposed to get better after a few charge cycles. It does make your phone about 30-40% thicker (comes with it's own custom battery cover), but for the battery life you get it's well worth the added thickness. I also find it's a little easier to hold on to.
Anyway, maybe not the solution you're looking for but for me it was well worth the money.
Just my 2 cents.

That's one big battery Thanks tho, but I want my N1 to stay small.
I second the recommendation for Enomther's. Rock-stable.
I have no combo recommendation cuz I haven't found a really good one yet. Right now I'm using cm6.1 and wild monks kernel. It's been decent for me. But I suggest using set cpu, put on power save mode when you don't use the phone. It'll be there forever. Turn off data connection and gps as well. Also using less like half the animation helps speed up the phone and saves battery too.
Ps I'm combining inexus theme too and their icons plus the animations are amazing! My phone looks colorful as hell!

Lol yea it does add some bulk but it sure is reassuring to know I don't have worry about my battery dying before the day is over. I use my phone a lot and don't have time to really recharge it much and I don't like the idea of carrying extra batteries so this works very well for me.
I haven't done too many Roms, but miui has given me the most battery life out of stock, cm and miui.
I've been travelling and I managed to get 4-5 days with minimal calls and very light usage. If you use it normally with wifi and regular calls, 2-3 days is usually the limit.
Both these numbers are with auto airplane mode during my sleep hours.

In my personal opinion, CM7 Nightlies are really stable. After a real heavy usage i.e. playing games, surfing, calls, messages, i get about 15 hours a day.
My phone is fully charged when I leave at 8 and by 8 pm battery will be somewhere between 40 and 45 % left.
Bugs are there with CM7 Nightlies but so far I haven't had any problems with it.
Recently I've been through about 3 roms, and of the three (rod's, micromod's own GB aosp, and leo's GB aosp, leo's gives me the best battery life.
It might be because he incorporated the battery driver, though.

im not one to say I have used all 3, ive only used CM7. it was good. actually even MIUI is good but u gotta know how to find your wakelocks with betterbatterystats. that way you can optimize battery life regardless of whatever rom you're on.
I could go 1-2 days on my MIUI currently FR rom, moderate usage, all my syncs are off, i manually refresh for notifications.

What do you mean "but u gotta know how to find your wakelocks with better batterystats" ? I usually dont have anything running in the background...
I have used CM 7, all MIUI, Lewa, and Mokee, and Ice BlacK too
In my view
1. CM7 have better battery life (but as I use to play 3 D games I won't prefer)
2. Second is Galnet MIUI, built by elol, decent battery life with good performance.
3. Third is Mokee, It is the best ROM for gamer and for others too who don't use to play game. It almost serve me for whole day with games, music and all mail, FB, Linkedin sync on for 24 hrs.
For me best choice is "Bumblebee" it's really a stable ROM and give's really great battery life, Best in which i have used.
In term's of Gaming this ROM is really great, it give's games extra smoothness to Game's by increasing FPS with help of it's new GPU derive.
This all make this ROM as my daily use ROM.

google xda betterbatterystats. download the app and follow the thread, those are uber battery sensitive people in the community.
so you manually sync all your apps as well? even calendar? and leave gtalk signed out?
wakelocks are what keeps the phone away from entering deep sleep. from the betterbatterystats app, if u see ur device entering 96% and above Deep Sleep after a night's full charge and allowed to idle, then good job, no matter what rom ur running u should be doing it right.
wakelocks are what cause a battery drain even when your phone is off idle while u sleep. it isnt only about background apps.
Yes,,I was use betterbatterystats,,I have managed all wakelocks and partial too,,it's give me battery life more time

post your dump here. and also at the BBS thread where u got the app.
so unless you are getting 96% and above deep sleep, id say you have not completely managed your wakelocks yet. also what are your governor and i/o scheduler settings? OC'ed at? do you have a screen off profile to lower clock speed when screen off?
battery use info may show that, but most important is u charge your phone to full, let it discharge while u sleep and wake up next day, OBTAIN 96% DEEP SLEEP OR HIGHER. figure out what are the wakelocks in BBS. if BBS is managed correctly, even if your android system is using highest %, no big deal, more importantly your battery isn't draining like mad.

Best rom for Battery?

Hey guys. I only want to ask which rom do you think is the bettest for battery life.
Thanks.

My suggestion would be stock gingerbread with speedmod kernel k2-12, i used to get around 4 days with normal use.
That sounds nice. Do you have heavy use of yout phone? Or only deep sleep all the time?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I use it for playing games, little music, calls and messaging. Sometimes connect to Wi-fi. With the same in ICS i get around 2 days.
okay thank you i´ll try. :fingers-crossed:
to set expectations straight, expect thought about 4.5 hours nonstop usage on gb with speedmod kernel.
4 hours on ics with speedmod
alk stock dont expect more then 3 to 3.5 hours.
you only get 2 days if you dont synch, barely use phone and are in good reception area with data switched off always.
Note general tips which can be found in the 10000plus threads about battery drain and how to analyse deepsleep issues

I don't know whether you like gingerbread roms or not , but till date the rom with which I got maximum battery backup with modeate to heavy usage was CheckRom Revo HD V6. This rom never lags , best battery life , and good speed .
If you are Gingerbread hater and ICS lover , then you can try Rocketrom v7( very good battery life with the included kernel , and would be much better with Speedmod Kernel (latest version) ). And then you have CleaNote V2.30 ( V3.0 has bluetooth glitches but its faster , if you are bluetooth user i would suggest you to stick with V2.30 ) , I personally love CleaNote because it has stock look and very fluidic :good: and as the tagline says 'You dont want any theme forced down to your throat '. KingDroid are good at speed but many have reported few glitches with it , you may try it if you like ( I dont like KingDroid , its sth personal ). If you hate Samsung's bloatware then we have Cassie's XtraLite rom for your rescue :cyclops:. Its a good rom too .
Well finally to end , I use cyanogenmod 9 and i update it everyday and with each update it gets more fluid and responsive, fast , smooth . i just love cyanogenmod9 ( waiting for cm10 ).
ParanoidAndroid are for ppl who love fun , who want to showoff their phone , the ability of their phone , the sweet hybrid interface of their phone , its for geeks :-0 .
Make a choice or try all of them :good::good:

I am using CLASSIC V1+15 toggle with MOD V1 which is ICS 4.0.4, and I also updated kernel to chainfire LRG, which is more stable and smooth, battery life is excellent comparatively to all other ROMs so far.
Which is around 4% drain per hour, I have (facebook, wechat, LINE, mitalk, whatsapp, email, exchange service, maps, mixed chinese input, make your own clock) running and leaving it on idle.

For the past 2 years of beeing a S galaxy user, I've quite looked for best battery life at top performance. Most of the time, battery life is no longer measured in "days" of usage , like we used to do with our Nokia phones. Nowadays, you ten to look at display (screen on) time , CPU profiles, and also connectivity patterns.
You can think of battery life as a factor of the above mentioned, however I think that display time is the most important parameter related to battery life. CPU profiles, connectivity, tend to work only when you have your screen on, and from my experience, you tend not to extend your usage time by more than 10-20%.
So as a conclusion, I did not expect a specific rom / kernel configuration to offer more "screen on" time but to offer a more faster way to do my tasks therefore I did more tasks in almost the same display time.
At the end of the day, it is more important how you USE your device rather than finding a "magical" combination that will increase your battery life.
KID + SpeedMod
+1 for GB (i was using checkrom but i'm sure any gb rom will give similar effects) with Speedmod.
If you make setcpu to 200mhz on screen off, i find it uses almost no power at all when it's on standby.
Like it was on 77% when i went to bed.
Woke up in the morning and it was on 78% (i was like lolwut).
Yay for setcpu.
But seriously though, any GB rom will give you considerably more battery life than any ics rom.

battery consumption problem caused by bad voltage handling?

so I downloaded somekind of battery widget that have graphic log on the voltage and I noticed that when my new optimus 4x's voltage jumped between high and low it cause the battery to drop rapidly... Never noticed this sub-section haha. This is from stock, about 6 months ago. I only charge up to 60% now, so I don't have any recent screenshots that start near 90-100.
Stock based rom. Almost 2 days unpluged, mainly light usage, some gps and camera. Cannot even come close to this on any cm or aosp based rom.
Stock rom 23S 2 days or more with light to medium usage no games just internet, socials app, youtube etc. I have few phones the Pro 3 is the fastest for day to day use, loading apps quickly I got the 6Gb ram/64Gb rom version.

This "HUGE" gap is theoretically 5% mentiond by Qualcomm itself if you cmp the sd820 with the 821.. That isn't huge but still 0.5/10th of the battery life, depending on how well the rom has been ported and optimized.
For the stock rom, it will probably last. But if you don't like the iOS clone design of android that runs on it well, a custom rom isn't going to beat it anytime soon unfortunately..

GhostPepper 2.0 as Advanced Governor Profile. There are better battery saving profiles but I find GP2.0 to be the smoothest while proving excellent battery life.
Autostarts to unlink unnecessary event trigger.
Greenify to force certain misbehaving apps to sleep instead of sucking up battery background.
Forcedoze to further force doze but I am not sure if it is useful at this point. I am considering to uninstall it.
Underclock to 1516 and 1900mhz. I do not use heavy apps so it works for me.
I also use battery in 40 ~ 80% range so after a full year of use, my battery is in good shape. I only charge up to 90~100% when I'm traveling.

Do you have stock kernel or another one?
Do you have any visible bug like battery stats and others?

Stock Omni kernel. I've been on 0820 build/kernel as versions after it gave me worse battery life. Then I recently updated rom to the latest one due to KRACK. I noticed that the kernel is still draining more battery so I flashed 0820 kernel.
Now, my understanding is that battery drain is function of kernel, not rom. But with latest rom and 0820 kernel setting, I am seeing significantly higher battery usage. It could be some other factor so I am in test mode now.
Battery stats bug? Big core battery stats in EX Kernel Manager. Never had that issue on 0820 but with latest version, I do see it.

I gave Black Screen Kernel and Alucard governor a try after reading your post. Though it is too early to draw a call, it seems to be slightly better than GhostPepper tweak. It is very very good.
Ive Got LineageOS 14.1 and latest BlackScreen, but my SOT is between 5-5.30h :[
Im using ondemand cpu governor on big cores and schetudil on small ones.
GPU governor is simple_ondemand, I/O is set as Noop, there is also low memory killer set as agressive.
Im also using Greenify (without shallow Hibernation).
Im thinking that Its not good score for my settings. What should, i change?
Thanks!
I reached 9 hours sot without akt or anything else. Just the banggood's 20s rom. I am pretty impressed.
I have the elite x722. Sorry.
Don't normally go past 7 hours , system service always seems to drain my battery
