Hi all!!
I have the older Samsung Galaxy Tab (SCH-i800). It's already rooted with CWM recovery installed. Where can I get an ICS rom for my device?
Thanks!
Saw your trespassing post on CM9 DEV THREAD.
Don't post there unless you are a dev discussing coding or compilation.
Your problem is with CWM version too low.
Search for post about upgrading to CWM 5.X to get rid of assert error.
Or unzip the rom and find the updater script and delete the lines that do the assert IF you are sure the rom is for your device.
That is, cdma version for cdma tab.

Hi
I have GT-P1000 european/international/unbranded galaxy tab
I rooted it and I used bootloader patch.
I installed rom manager.
Which clockwork mod do I need to install.
And which rom can I use.
Is there a simple way to run "android market"?
My tab doesn't have android market installed...

When the Galaxy tab reboots when trying to do anything from rom manager I get this screen. Its rooted with stock ROM. What does this screen mean? And how can I fix it?
Thank you in advance.

can you mention which stock rom you have , what is your galaxy tab model ...
and why in earth someone use ROM manager it's not for the galaxy TAB ....
Sorry its Verizon galaxy tab sch-1800
Firmware 2.2
Kernel 2.6.32.9
Build sch-1800.ec02
Its been rooted. Initially with z24root then re-rooted using superoneclick.
I got cm7 on my t-bolt as a daily driver so now its time to start getting my tab loaded up with some fun stuff.
Thank you for any help

Rom manager was not meant for the tab as is. You need to flash a proper recovery first.

confused
UHG! I am so confused, ok, gonna do more reading... there are just so many differences in tabs and roms and kernels and bootloaders and flashes and ... ok, gonna try and figure it out.
at least i will stop spinning my wheels with rom manager... I guess I was confused because it has the option to flash clockworkmod recovery for my specific device Galaxy Tab - Verizon.
off to do some better research... throw a link or two at me if you feel so enticed as to throwing something

Hi, I wanted to know can I install the galaxy note i717 recovery on n7000? Or is there a touch recovery for us? And if I would install will everything work or go "BOOM"? Thanks

don't think there is a touch version yet for n7000.
I guess the speedmod kernel uses the att note cwm version and it works on n7000... so may be.. but not sure

No, the i717 is a totally different Note than the N7000. I would highly recommend you do NOT flash anything to your Note that belongs to another Note version.
There used to be a TWRP recovery in the AOKP builds (ICS) but I think it was removed. Also used to be a touch CWM recovery in Hydrocore kernels, but Gavin removed it because of a little problems. So you are stuck right now, but maybe eventually the touch recoveries will get worked out. It's not too hard to just use the keys.
I agree.. the software (and even the hardware part) workings on the i717 should not be mix up the N7000, else you could risk getting a soft brick on your phone (worse a hard one).
Best you can do is file a Request under the I717 section to have a developer mod or create a touch recovery on the phone.
Hey,
I hope this is the right thread.
I have problems with the newest MIUI, as I can't install GAPPS and I get an error (status 6).
Reading through threads, I read that I need to update my CWM-Recovery.
Thought on the official site I only find: recovery-clockwork-2.5.1.2-galaxys.zip
But I can't install this one either (status 0) and the version number is quite different from the current one I have (cwm recovery 6.0.2.8) - I think I need to try 6.0.3.2 if that is the newest.
Does anyone know where I can find this version?
I only found one for I9001, but that is the Galaxy S Plus and I'm not sure if I could use that aswell.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards,
Albaniax
What kernel are you on right now?

Re:
Hey mate,
I already read, I need to upgrade my kernel to a new AOSP ROM.
My current one is 3.0.71.-01982-g41ece4e
I think I can do this with Odin? Do I have to wipe/delete all data everything before?
At the beginning of installing MIUI, I have went with this one (in German): androidpit.de/de/android/forum/thread/456654/Installationsanleitung-Android-2-3-6-JVU-Root-Bilder-und-Erklaerungen-Einfach-und-Kurz
So I went to stock, then installed the "CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS".
Now for a new kernel, do I install this only as a PDA without re-partitioning & Moden/CSC?
Thanks,
have a look at this thread
look at this thread, this kernel based on kernel 3.0.80 and includes CWM 6.0.3.2
and u can flash it with odin, select the files with *.tar
Semaphore JB 2.9.26
greets,
Pat
I have had a galaxy mini for a while and its just been gathering dust since I got an s5 so I decided to see what it can do. First I'm trying to install cwm but no matter where I look people always seem to brick their phones trying to install it. Does anyone know one that actually works? Also on the cm official website there is cm 7 for the mini but it does not specify whether it is for the gt-s5570 or just the s5570 .The last thing is can you use "apply update from sdcard" in the stock recovery to flash a ROM? It seems like it does the same thing so I'm wondering whether I need cwm at all.

Installing CWM is not that much hard. Just take precaution and install correct files.
CM7 work on both GT-S5570 and S5570(they are same). Dont wory about that, just pick the ROM and install via CWM.
U cant apply update via sdcard in stock rom.
