I know it's annoying in sort of .. but you can't remove it .. here is no such way to disable it from Setting either
Otherwise you are able to access to the Library ROM file and you are a really "Programmer" ..
Try changing your launcher.

Hi all,
since I don't like the stiffy hardware buttons I'm searching for an on screen solution. Does anyone know a tool or is it part of the theme and the launcher?
Thanks in advance

Why dont someone sheck into it and solve it? i mean its the original ics style ^^ the original softkey backlight in my phone is dead to so damn it! i like that setting in rom control...the latest setting was awsome! no prob for me.. peace!
...still searching for an independant app...
Once i had a rom with this feature in the status bar. But i don't know it anymore and appreciate an app.
Thanks
Wolf
Try 'button savior' from Google play its free
BTW: to whom it may concern:
some weeks later I found the ultimate solution: my ROM contains it in "Tablet" Options - there you can switch on different buttons in the status bar. I use the HyperDroid-CM7-v6.0.0[a2sd][CyanogenMod7 LEO 2.3.7][seader_R9]

Hey guys
Is there any chance to manage the shortcut-icons on the HTC One with TrickDroid-Rom with DeSense-option?
I am using the sense-lockscreen and nova-launcher and so Ive removed the stock launcher during installation. Unfortunatly there are no shortcuts shown on the HTC lockscreen and it seems there is no way to add/edit them.
Is there any third party app to do this or will this come in future release of TrickDroid?
Ive already tried an alternative Lockscreen (WidgetLocker), but the activation lag everytime was a little annoying - I would like to stay with the stock lockscreen.
Any chance?
Thank you,
Frank

Yeah, I had this idea already in my mind.
But due to the fact I am not using the sense launcher at all, which is draining battery and performance, I would not like to waste resources for this.
Hope there is another way to do this. The lockscreen must have stored the shortcut information somewhere, I am for sure
If you change the launcher and clear cache on the HTC launcher after switching to nova, the HTC launcher won't be consuming ram since it will not activate unless you change back to it.

Hi all,
I never thought I'd use sense, but I really like ARHD and blinkfeed and after getting rid of the condensed font it looks almost good.
However blinkfeed is too dark to my taste. Do you guys know a quick way to let the background image being shown in the clock area of blinkfeed?
Thanks
Holger

Simply install ViperOne rom and you will be able to set blinkfeed/clock background from tweaks you can choose a color or an image as background, and you can even set appdrawer background

Great stuff!
I tried the ViperOne Rom and the mentioned tweak. Looks really nice, but took me a bit longer to set it up the way I like.

The most important is that you're satisfied and got what you want and if you never used Viper rom, just continue to explore venom tweaks, there are a lot of goodies

Hello Simba,
can it be done without ViperROM? I'm using ARHD and like to stay with it.

Maybe. I used this. It's a flashable zip that allows you to customize various aspects of the launcher. I don't remember what version it's intended for, so make a backup before you try it.
Another option is to take my Prism apk and try it on your device. Move the apk to /system/, set the permissions to rw-r-r/644, then move and replace to /system/app. Like I stated with the other method, make a backup first. One of these will probably work for you.
Hey everyone,
Ive been running strong here on slimbean for a while now. And while its great I want some of the functionality features from the stock rom. Maybe its a android version thing, anyways what Im wanting to go back to is how under the contacts list, you swipe a contact name one way for text messaging and swipe the other way to call the person...even under the text message listing I think you could simply swipe the contact name and call the person. If you know what Im talking about, is this functionality available on a custom rom available? Im going to feel silly going back to stock just for that. Maybe im slow but I do it at least a couple times a week, ill browse through contacts click on who i want to call and put the phone to my ear, never calling the person b/c you have to click 'call' after selecting your contact. Hope im not sounding whiney, all you guys do things i couldnt.
thanks!
That feature is only found in the stock rom. You could check the play store to see if there is an app that will do the same thing, but that is all I can suggest.
ok cool dvarl thanks. I guess i can search for contact organizer? seems like it might be part of a launcher setting?
