Found this on Amazon so if you have a case you like that isn't a smart case this seems to be a decent alternative.

Thanks for the link! That's rather expensive considering my case cost less than the magnet Is there any way that I could just buy some magnet strips and super glue them to the case?

ROFLMAO $10 for that??? That's extortion! I think I'm just going to go to my local craft store and pick a few up there, surely they will be a fraction of the cost.

Lol. ive seen cases for over $60. Lol i would pay over 10 anyday for a GOOD quality case.

That's not a case, just a magnet.

Does anyone know of nay magnet tape that works? I'm in the UK so anything on eBay/Amazon UK would be ideal.

Currently using magnet tape from an arts and craft store. Costed 1.99 for a yard lol.

Does it work? I know some people are having trouble with certain kinds of magnets like the flexible plastic refridgerator type magnets.
Do you have an IO Nexus 7 or a production model?

Yea it is kinda expensive lol I just came across it looking at TPU cases and I've never seen anyone sell that

Production model. The case needed to be snug otherwise just layer it to fit. I out 3 strips on top of each other to make a friends case work. It has to be flush with the screens sensor.

PTU case is available from Amazon for $8.99. It look nice, not bad.

Do you know if the polarity is a or b?

I have a roll of 1/2" wide adhesive magnetic tape and tried cutting a piece to see if it would work, no dice. must not be strong enough. I'd be concerned with it scratching the screen anyway, but thought I'd give it a try.

Have a look on the Play Store for "CaseSensor for Tablets", turn any case into a smart one using the light sensor.

I made my folio case a smart case by using a small magnet from a desktop toy i had (has little sticks with magnets on the ends and little metal balls for making geometric shapes), used a dremmel and glues it in. Free and works like a charm! I would be happy to sell some magnets for $10 each.. . I'll throw in shipping for free ;P

I was playing around with a magnet to see which side would matter, and it doesn't look like it's polarity specific.

Seidio case info

Well i asked and there is a Seidio case in the works. There is no ETA for it which sucks. Its a active case with a multifunction cover.
I have used their products for a while and im happy with them just hope it comes out soon because i need something.

seidio cases are pretty good but they usually take much longer time to comeout..

I had one of these for my kindle fire and loved it. I'm getting by with a cheap case for my N7 until the Seidio case comes out.

I'll be keeping my eye out for this also. I've had seidio active cases on mine and my wifes nexus s's for over a year and a half now. They are great and have held up well. I like how they feel in the hand with their grippy silicon like material and they give the device great protection.

They are still not shipping but i saw it. The other one should be the same as the one in the picture but with a cover of course.
Debating if i want to go with the regular active case and a screen protector or the other case.
For those that havent used seidio before. Its kinda like a tpu case. Rubber with a hard plastic shell over it.
I have used them on my phones for a while now and im happy with these cases.

I love my surface case for my phone. The material they use is perfect. It is grippy for your fingers yet slippery in you pocket.

A 'Surface' would be smaller, but it looks good. First to market will get my money. Otterbox is going to lose out it seems.

When I asked them they said there aren't current plans to release a Surface case for the N7, just an Active case.

Hi there! Did you end up getting the case? If so, how do you like it? Did you get the model with the cover? If so how bulky does the unit become with the cover attached? (Either on the front or back).
It looks like there's a recessed section on the cover (to make room for the adjustable stand), but I'm worried that it will add too much bulk to the profile of the N7.

Its not out yet unfortunately. I am definitely ordering this when it comes out. I have the Gumdrop case now, which is nice but it does not have the same viewing options like this one. I cant wait for this to come out.

Suppose to be coming out later today, I just called and they said to call back in two hours. Plus they have responded to my facebook post and said blue and black 10/15. Red 10/17.

Just add this to my list of growing cases and money spent.

Ditto lol...I pulled the trigger on a Noeve case, and it was about as expensive as my treegloo, but I cancelled it on the this verge of this case being released this week.

Looks like the Incipio cases are out

I saw this browsing around their site today. It looks like the typical hard case with an outer lip. Sort of pricey for what you're getting.

Yeah that thing is whack. It pisses me off they have all these awesome cases for iPad, yet Nexus 7 cant even get a good folio case from them.

Couldn't agree more...by far the worst thing about this tab is the lack of cases.

Yeah don't ever believe incipio..... Back when the tf101 was popular..... They responded in emails that they would make a case. They never did..... I hate incipio.... Hope they go bankrupt

Lets face it, the iPad is a trend. People like to show it off and have it seen. Thats why there is so much more crap for them.

Ipad sells...there is one size...there is so much diversity with android products thats why we don't have the same selection.

Nexus 7 Case v. 3 Year Old

Looking for a case for my wife's Nexus 7. She has an SGP screen protector installed. The goal is to make sure our 3 year old can't get her hands on it and smash it to pieces . I'm looking at the Poetic Revolution and while it looks sweet it already has a built in screen protector, but I guess I could peel/cut it out. Thoughts? Thanks!

I agree, either gumdrop or Seidio with cover. Seidio would be more attractive to a girly in my opinion (I'm a girl).

I have the pinkish color bobjgear case.. I think it looks much nicer then the gum drop . but still have good protection.. NO Built in screen protector....

[Q] Star Wars Case for GN2?

Hello All,
My brother is an avid Star Wars fan and has a GN2 as well and is looking to see if he can find a Star Wars case for it. I looked everywhere on Google and it seems that the only cases I find that are Star Wars related are for the GN1 or the S3.
Does anyone know where I can find a few to look through or a vendor that will make one with an image I provide them?

I saw on r2d2 3M gel decal/skin on Amazon that you may want to take a look at. I'm not a huge Starwars fan but it was very cool looking and I'm considering getting one myself. Sadly I don't have a link.

I would check gela skins, not sure if they have note 2 versions yet but I was able to upload my own photo for my ipad and it looks pretty nice, its just 3m sticker but if you are not looking for bulky case its an alternative

Thank you for the tip, but I'm probably going to wait for a legit case rather than a sticker. I'll pass this on though to anyone I know who is looking for that look though!!!

Yeah definitely get the feeling especially when the case is plastic comparing to the aluminum on ipad, maybe look for similar customizable case, I was in china for business 2 week ago and was able to see some customizable plastic cases, not the greatest quality but I think all image designed cases are typically plastic.
Not sure if there are similar options in the states but for plastic cases they are not that bad I was able to get one for around 3 dollars

Casemyway lets you use your own pictures printed on a case, but their note 2 case is still " coming soon"
Other than that, I know zagg makes custom skins.
