Anyone knows if those .sbf files created by the included Sprite Mobile Backup can be modified? I couldn't find a solution for that. Would be nice if one could include things from old phone to restore.

I made the misstake and backup my phone with Sprite Backup to a .exe file instead of a .pbf file... Now I can't restore the files I need without a fully restore. This would not be good as I have upgraded the ROM.
Does anyone know how I can extract some files from this backup file (.exe)?
I have tried Sprite Explorer but it doesn't work.
Also, does anyone know if Sprite Backup backups SMS?
Edit:
Can answer myself... I made a FULL restore of my backup file and it seems to have restored the ROM? and also all the SMS and everything... So now I have installed Spb Backup and made backup of those files I want to backup...
Works fine for me... I can extract any file I like from my sprite (.exe) backup files using Sprite Explorer 6.2.2
Hi studtz,
Can you tell where did you find Sprite Explorer 6.2.2? I cannot find it anywhere on the net...I do have the same trouble to get my contacts from Sprite backup "exe" files with Sprite Explorer 1.0001.etc... I do need help on this...
Does anybody knows about it?

Hi,
I've made a backup using SPB on my MDA from T-Mobile (Diamond.)
Now, I've updated to Dutty ROM and everything works fine.
However, when I restore the backup from SPB (.exe) and do only restore PERSONAL DATA the device doesn't boot anymore. I must do a hard reset to make it boot again.
I only want to get my SMS. Contacts etc. is all in Outlook 2007.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
J.
Same problem here!
Same Explorer problem (.exe)
I'm about ready to run at Sprite Backup with a chainsaw. I just wanted to back up my contacts and now I can't sync them to my phone by themselves. The program always fails. Is there an alternative? Must I use ActiveSync to connect?
hello guys.
I changed my Rom on HTC Touch HD, and i run the spritebackup.exe .
My problem is that i dont see my contacts in the new Rom.
Furthermore I have the sprite explorer on my laptop, but i dont know where are the contacts, which saved on the backup.exe .
Could anyone help me to find the contacts in the sprite explorer ? Which is the tab(of sprite exlporer) including the contacts ?
thanks guys
Does anyone know if its possible to extract a file from a previous backup that I did with Sprite Backup. I am running WM 6.1. I dont want to restore this backup as I deleted a note and need it.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I was able to figure this out myself. When you click on a backup done with Sprite Backup, it gives you the option to restore an individual folder or file. I was able to get my note back.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to extract file that created by stock Sony backup and restore utility?
It seems like the file is encrypted as I have to enter password at time of creating them. I need to extract one chat history and restore it manually.
Thanks!

I too would be grateful to see if anyone has achieved this, i have flashed my phone and i have som app data in an stock backup i would need! =)
hey.
my simple trick to restore my sms messeages from a "Sony backup & Restore"-FullBackup was, that i backuped only the empty messages again to a new Restorepoint. than i replaced the created file with that one from the fullbackup folder. only replace the file and do not delete other files or folders!
when you restore now from the last backup, you will get the content from the fullbackup.
i hope, this will help you ... but you need the Sony backup App for this procedure
I have problem with backup . I've done it while i was on 5.0.2 with system app backup and restore . Now on 5.1.1 with same app i can not restore it back cause they are not compatible... Is there any tricks that could help me here to somehow extract and open files from .semc-fullbackup folder?
Twice now I have found my TB backup directory to be mysteriously empty. I have no clue why. Fortunately, I started using the sync to DropBox option. However, the files on DropBox were only my last backup and not all my back up files that I saved.
My question is, are there any recommendations to easily save a back up of all of my TB back up files, preferably on the phone and in a manner/location that won't be recognized by TB. Maybe as a compressed archive?

change the folder name. Backup files are stored in internal memory of the phone. named "TitaniumBackup". Change that name to any other. When u back up next time it will automatically generate another folder named " TitaniumBackup"

My recomendation is to take a backup in temporary cwm or if you use cocore kernel use twrp
if you want to use titanium backup rename it and take backup
I changed my rom from stock to another and i had backed up my files in lg's backup assistant

THANKS!
