Hopefully xperia users to conserve energy while the battery driver is fixed.
PLS state:
1) screen on idle battery usage xxxmA (no airplane mode with screen on)
2)standby screen off xxxmA
3)as much as u can on what u did, which build
4) any other optional tips.
PS. Use the currentwidget from the forum to check. Do not download from the market as it is older and xdandroid will show 0mA (incompatible)
1) mine is 220mA
2)standby 190~210
3) started running with LCD density- 190 on first boot , default in tremeres 27/9 build is 200.
Advanced task killer - under security set to low, restart the app and kill EVERYTHING. Absolute minimum backlight.(That's all I think)
4)Running music during standby helps abit...
Anyone out there has a better battery usage?

I would love to have some tips on saving battery life in cm9 alpha. Especially when using the touch pad.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Flash the latest CM 9 nightly and you shouldn't have any problems with battery.
http://techerrata.com/browse/nightly_kangs/tenderloin
According to the changelogs it doesn't look like much has changed with respect to battery management in the latest nightlies . In fact some people have complained that it has gotten worse. How fast does your battery discharge during use?

I think the best way to save battery is that you dont use it at all...I mean if you're getting 10-12 hrs..then i think its good enough
I just flashed the latest CherryKang with the Bricked Kernel, and so far battery life has been much better. Aside from the rom/kernel, keep your brightness low, turn off any unecessary synching, etc.
If I'm not going to be using it for more than an hour or two I shut it down. CM9 boots up pretty quickly so its not a big burden.
Make sure Google talk is logged out, unless of course you use it. I do not, but read that it would be logged in automatically... I opened it and checked and sure enough it was logged in. That's one less app constantly communicating to the internet.
in settings go to wlan -> advanced and change wlan in standby to only when pluged in. this saves a lot of battery
additional to this im using setCPU and some profiles to save energy.
1. Time 00:00 - 06:00 max: 192; min; 192 and powersafe
2. screen off max: 432; min: 192 and conservative
3. battery <25% max: 594; min: 192 and interactive
and as overall profile ive set max: 1242; min: 192 and interactive
anyonelse who uses setcpu and might share his profiles?

I am using cm9 alpha 2 but I can't see that option in settings under wifi or any other menus in settings... Is there a special way to change it?

When you're at the wi-fi settings, touch the 3 dots in the top right of the screen and touch advanced. You'll find it there.

Thanks MrWilliams I found it.
Hmm... the setting doesnt appear to be working. When I look at the Battery info even when it shows the the touchpad as being not 'awake' wifi always remains on. Any ideas?
I'm using temasek's UNOFFICIAL BUILD 130 + temasek default kernel. Every time then my battery percentage reaches 20-30 % phone shuts down. with battery monitor tool i see huge battery percentage drop. then i turn on phone, battery percentage gets back to where it should be (screenshot attached).
is there anyone having same issue and knows how to fix it?
Boot into the recovery menu and wipe the battery stats. Or download the battery calibration app, let your phone charge to 100% and then calibrate it.

Wiping battery stats has no effect on the battery life. Diane Hackborn, an Android Developer, has elaborated on this matter on Google+.
I guess you have "Pimp My CPU" running and it is set up to save battery when reached 30% or 20%. It would do so by clocking down CPU, undervolting or both. Your Device seems not to like low Voltage, slow clockspeeds or both and shuts down.
If you have not set up Pimp My CPU yourself, your kernel is maybe set up to do just that.
Set Pimp My CPU up manually to not go to the lowest possible clockspeeds and to not UV.
It's very saddening but this is the case for me.
I have battery saver app installed but it doesn't help very much.
Is there any good power saving tips or perhaps a ROM really good for battery life?
can I replace my TP's battery?
What ROM are you using?
fat n-creamy CM10
1) check your wifi sleep settings and ensure it is set to off when not in use
2) set your minimum frequency to 192 instead of 384. However some people have seen SODs when set at this frequency
3) Use better battery stats to see if there any wakelocks.
I am getting around 0.5% using JCSullins 20121216 CM10 build.
hello
can someone help me ?
can i turn off s600's cores ?
from 4 to 3 or 2 cores
HTC One doing this automatically. Install CPU-Z You can see in this app activity of your cpu. In daily use most time Htc use 2 cores or 1.
Honestly there is no real reason to do this. Like xnobex said your device does this automatically to save battery. It only uses as much processing power as it needs to so its never at 100% load all the time and if it was it would be killed quick and overheating like crazy. Doing this would only mess up the experience and cause lag, with very little to show when it comes to improved battery life. Your device rarely ever needs to use a lot of processing power unless you're playing games. Your best bet is just to lower clock speed which the power saving mode does already setting it to 1.2 GHz when its normally at 1.7. Personally using custom kernels and under clocking helps my battery life. Also greenify is a life saver.
