The camera of LG OB is poor than the LG optimus one...it's true
How can we use LG p500 camera app for optimus black ?
Really, the video of LG p500 is awesome, whereas the OB is very very poor indoor.. even LED is on, video is very poor and dark

I had LG P500 and still using it with stock 2.3
Camera is below average, i dont get it how the heck you think it's fine... especially with videos, which are bad as **** on low lighting conditions.
yes, u r right...previously I also felt same like u
Set the video to night mode, then even in indoor u get better video,
I came to know that after sold out my phone
But optimus black has no option of night mode, it has only led on facility, even with that no use..

Which 1 do you guys prefer ? In my opinion,I think LG need to work hard on it and update the camera quality of LG Optimus 2x :S
What do you guys think about it ? isn't possible to update the camera quality in LG Optimus 2x?
come on, first thing - camera is probably the last important thing on the LG and second, there is no info on how they set the camera app when taking pics.
I agree with mikulic, even if I read he exif data, i see that 2 cameras wasn't setted at the same parameters!
Second way, they compare 8mpx vs 5mpx, and Iphone had a better software of postproduction on board!
I think it has a good cam for general purpose, for better photo I take my reflex!
Well LG hasn't been known to produce good cameraphones. LG arena, viewty, etc.
Well I do hope they improve on the quality, as I do fancy myself in taking pictures.
I was a bit disappointed that the 2X had such a mediocre camera on it. Not only is the color off, but the pictures are a bit grainy or slightly blurry, even in a fairly bright light.
The camera can be improved with firmware updates, though. The G1 for example, had a few camera updates that improved the quality a bit.. Hopefully they do the same with this one.
(note: i'm not sure if it was actually an android update or a camera firmware update, but I believe it was the firmware)
To confirm that the problem is software related maybe you could try a 3rd party camera app from the market?
Of course it can be improved, anything can be. Heck It's not the final product either, so by the time of launch it could be better. However after launch, I find it unlikely that they'll send updates to improve the camera, if there are no bugs for the camera.

Yes, the stock camera. Long-press area to focus on.
But it doesn't focus on that specific area, like on the sgs2, correct? Just like an average focus....

I don't see light leak in this video... imho this video too pro-LG to be trusted .
the LG screen is one of the bests, but at this level, choosing between HTC/LG/Samsung screen is a matter of taste rather than something measurable.

Hello people.
A friend in another forum wanted some info about the p880 wether to buy it or not and wanted me to imfom him about the weaknesses of the 4X.
One thing in my opinion : The CAMERA APP.
After exchanging pms he recommended me some other app for me to test in case there is an improvement.I tested the LG camera pro and these are my observations
1) The lighting quality is equivalent to the modded camera app v5, since i had the tweak installed i didnt see any improvement nor drawback.
2) This app has many options to choose from such as audio and video bitrate quality.
3) Most importantly it has an option in both photo and video capture to set the autofocus to your need.To mention some of that setting it includes auto , infinity m macro , fixed and others which seem to make the difference at least in my point of view.
There is nothing to lose and test it for yourself and see the results. No root required.

This a completely different app. The LG Camera Pro was developed for the LG G2X/Optimus 2X. It's a great camera app, although i do like the O4X modded stock camera app. AS far as changing the audioand video bitrate, you can also do that with the O4X's stock camera. Although, i believe you can only do it through the hidden menu. 3845#*880#
So does it work on the 4x?

The main feature i use it for is for the fixed autofocus option.
Quality is horrible, it's mad grainy
Made possible by my sexy LG Optimus 4X HD (P880)

+1. Hence why i prefer the O4X's stock camera app.
yes at dark places the lg app makes better pics, today i see bad quality too... really grainy
I too agree that the stock camera is better.I use this only to record video with autofocus disable .

Hi. My LG Optimus 4X HD's front camera is reaally dark in some quite well lit situations. My friends' phones front camera works well on the same lighting. I wanted to ask you a question, how can i increase the exposure of my front camera permanently on snapchat, messenger etc.? On those appd, you can't change the exposure.. If you were wondering, I'm running CM 11. Thanks!
