besides the branding of course
Same case, same factory, different branding. There are other brands that are selling that same case also.
you figured that out from just the pictures or another way?
There are gazillion versions of that case for the kindle fire, too. I think it is the best folio case because it is relatively thin, does not cover the bezel, and stays shut better than ones with magnets. I ordered the Poetic version cause I want the handstrap.
I think there is one factory in China that cranks these out and sells them to everyone. You have to be pretty naive if you think most of these companies design their own cases. The pick them out of a catalog, then maybe add a custom touch or two like packaging and a brand stamp. then import a container load.

I actually have or my family collectively owns 4 of those case from different sellers for different devices. Also, you can buy those cases for as little as a dollar each straight from the true manufacturer in China with whatever logo you want. This is true of many things, like ecigs, little plastic army men, etc etc. I use to buy bulk from China for my ecig business and they used my own logo when making my batches. The same went for my competitors, we all had the same product only we masked it with our superficial designs.
Look at those tpu cases for the nexus 7 all over amazon and eBay. Same manufacturers and maybe 600 different sellers of the same product. Stamped with a different logo. Smart business.

Hi guys,
Just putting this info up for anyone who may be interested. Suggestions/comments always welcome I'm new to the board, so unfortunately, I'm not allowed to post links (you can find all these on Amazon)
I was looking to get a durable case that would fit my new N7. In particular, I was after the Pelican 1055CC. It should also fit a Pelican 1060 case.
After PM-ing a few people on these boards who have owned this case for the N7, it seems that that fit for the N7 is good but not perfect (It seems the N7 slides around a little within the case).
It looks like Pelican also makes the Pelican Pick N Pluck system, which is basically a set of customizable foam pieces that are made to fit in specific Pelican case models. You can find this on their website or on Amazon.
I have this case and with the tpu case i have on my N7, the movement isn't bad. I would recommend the pelican case in a heartbeat.

In my search for a tough case for the N7, I decided to get a Pelican 1055CC. Only thing is, I am not sure how to find this in Europe. I don't want to order it from the US, as it is already pretty expensive. Do you have any ideas if there are any resellers, or should I contact pelican directly?
Not cheap - http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...d-keywords=Peli+1055CC&rh=i:aps,k:Peli+1055CC
No, but the price is kinda ok. It's very close to the quote I got straight from Peli, however the reseller they sent me to, only deals with companies.
This one from Amazon isn't ok either. For some reason they won't let me use a shipping address outside of UK.
I will keep searching.
EDIT: Found an online Peli reseller in germany. Only 55 euro with transport included. Placed the order, should have it in 3 - 4 days.
Pelican cases will never be cheap, but you get what you pay for. I have them for my rifles and they are great. One of the ones I had fell out of a plane and broke. They sent me a new one for free.

Peli case arrived this morning. It looks great. Good build quality, not too bulky but very sturdy. Didn't get a chance to put the Nexus in yet as I am at work but from what I read around, there might be some space left in the case. If this is true and it will have some play, seems that I can insert some sort of foam sheet under the case lining. It is glued in, but looks like it can be lifted in some parts.
If anyone is curious about this, or you need pictures, close-ups, any extra details, let me know.
I came across this book style case on Kickstarter. I personally won't be backing it (as I prefer going commando), but others might be interested.
This is the closest you can get to the Bookbook case for iPads.

What does this offer that is different from those book-style cases other companies are offering? I mean, aren't book book cases leather journal like covers?
Neat idea. But like yourself I prefer going commando also with my Nexus 7. But who knows once they officially release it in the fall then perhaps ill pick up one for travelling purposes.
a little pricey.... $40 for a single Nexus 7 jacket with an estimated delivery in Oct 2012.
Pass... not my style anyway.
The first thing I thought was "not another one?!!" but I'm glad I took the time to look at the site. This case seems to be better designed than previous ones, a fitted hard shell interior for example and the ability to fold the cover flat at the back. The price does seem high and there's better protection out there for less money but if you want something a bit different from the fake leather or dayglo tpu cases then this one could aswer.
I've seen it before I got the treegloo back in July. Looks good and similar to the treegloo/dodo/portenzo cases but with ONE exception. No smartcover. Not even an option. I asked them and they said they prefer a simpler cover and will not offer any smart covers at this time. No go for me. I love my treegloo for now.
I Can not decide what case to choose, SENA one, but it's to thin and I hate the leather pattern, or go for good ol' PDair,
they have than one http://www.pdair.com/index.php/eboo...google-nexus-7-vertical-pouch-type-black.html with multiple stitching color to chose from.
I asked them what the inner side part is made of, and they told me
"Thanks for your enquiry. ALL our Genuine PDair Leather Case is made of Premium Korea Cowhide leather and inner part is pvc. The inner part is a little hard to support the case but won’t get scratchiness on the phone."
Now PVC can also mean vinyl, maybe they mean it's hard to bend but soft to touch? anyway post your answers, still think to go with PDair as the shipping is free, SENA wat's 30$ to ship to Israel and it's ridiculously pricier, LOL not that I'm one to complain, as I ordered some acessories from EXPANSYS UK (extended battery w/cover, and desktop multimedia dock for my GNEX, but they was cheaper back then in comparison to eBay):silly:
If you want to pay $50 for a pouch you can buy for $5 then by all means do ok it's leather on the outside but it's damned thin leather. I've had a couple of PDair cases for phones and they are well enough made but vastly overpriced for what you get.
If you want to pay that kind of money for real leather, have a search of this forum. Someone posted a couple of months ago about some hand made stuff that was real quality.

Well to describe my problem, I want to use it with the dock, when it out, I will not say they overpriced, I use SGP Crumena for my Galaxy Nexus, that cost me 30$, and it worth the money, from all the crap I seen on eBay, there also MOFi soft pouches, but I only zip type, I want one like a sack with strap, and the big size sold on taobao or resellers, and I afraid to deal with them, SENA looks cheap with that ugly pattern and 30$ for shipping? the PDair exist many years so I know what I pay for, what else can you recommend?
^^ etsy.com
Thousands of quality, handmade sleeves ranging from cheap 12$ cloth ones to superb leather ones. Take a look. Just about everything there is handmade by people who do this in their homes for a living.

Thanks, very creative stuff, but I want something from a brand like the SENA or PDair, they have another one;
http://www.pdair.com/index.php/eboo...-asus-google-nexus-7-business-type-black.html
Yeah I know the price is like 2 smartphone cases, but it will be used for good, I think I even maybe sell the SGP of my GNEX to make some profit,
and get a one from PDair to make a pair, they have same case for NOTE (II), so maybe they can make me a smaller one
but keep up with the comments, I just couldn't find any reviews of the tablet cases they sell.
It's a trap
Hey guys, since i have tried the original case as well as some 3rd party cases i was not happy about the results. My main concern was how thick and heavy the nexus 7 got after applying the original case or one of those "smart" cover fakes as well as that i wanted to still be able to feel that rubberized back.
So i went to a shop which sells all kind of cloths like leather, jeans, etc. I bought myself some leather and thread went home and took out my sewing maschine. sewing it to have a perfect fit takes about 10 - 15 minutes in total depending on skill level. I still have some leather remaining for a total of maybe another 3 cases - or i might just do another few for my mobile phone or some other devices. In fact, it'll be very cheap. for a total of 4 cases the leather is about 5 euro, and the thread will last for many cases and also just a few euro. It's very simple but it's still impressing.
I've added attachment to show the end result, as well as how it fits in tightly plus as a bonus inside that store you can see the choice of materials. So if someone is happy putting up 15 minutes work he can do it for himself.
Have fun!
Edit: This is like the first prototype, therefor on the first picture you can see 2 wholes for sticking in needles. I do not recommend using this method to find out the proper size.
That is a nice looking sleeve you made for yourself. I have no sewing talent myself so I wont be attempting it.
I thought the same way which is why I ended up buying a sleeve for myself off Amazon to protect it in transport. Sure it's no actual case on the tablet but I couldn't stand the bulk and this was much more pleasant looking.
All I have on it is a screen protector and a vinyl skin on the battery cover.
P.S An idea you could possibly include on your next iteration of it is a pocket for headphones...that is if you use any with it.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Yeah i am thinking about doing several cases for several devices / things. My headphones both have cases when bought already ( Bose QC15 and MIE2i ) but i think about doing some for mobile phones, maybe camera lenses, even business cards, I'll see. I just came from that shop again, they gave me some white leather to work with free of charge.
I guess anyone can do with manual labor as well but it will take more time obviously. Anyone else can ask for grandma's assistance
Here is another one, this time for the galaxy s3 lte... the cost of the bag are approximatly 0,10 cents. Picked up the white leather for free just because i talk a bit with the woman who's been working at that store yesterday which is enough for a few more bags, the thread is not expensive. I can just recommend... If i can do that, anyone can do. My craftmanship skills are quite low. There are really nice materials out there which could give you a unique case for your phone/tablet/device so go for it!
Hey guys. I just decided to try Samsung S6 or S6 Edge. Looking for some great cases to protect it! But also I don't wanna spoil the original look of it since the design's so unique and beautiful! Anyone knows where I could find these cases available now??
I love the design of S6 edge so much, but it's kinda pricy
I would buy a S6. Does anyone know where I could find some high quality cases? I prefer leather cases.

i posted more Spigen cases here:

can't go wrong with any Spigen cases. many companies copy/clone their cases because they are among the best cases you can buy.

Hit up Vajacases @ www.vajacases.com they offer a GS5 case so very likely they will offer one for the GS5. Plus unlike Apple, Samsung actually gets their accessory vendors in on the design so they are ready at launch where Apple forces everyone to wait, penalizes them for using leaked designs from further Made For I accessory options, like who cares. Do you have to have permission to make a case for a phone anyways. I can't imagine aftermarket car accessory vendors have to get permission to offer floor mats or other accessories.
One more thing . . . I did a quick Amazon search for Galaxy S6 Edge Cases and chose Leather/Faux Leather box and the search results are below.

looks like a spigen clone to me. 90% of the cases out there are spigen copies, they are top notch cases so everyone tries to replicate them.
have a look at this one:

comes in several colors. the slate and gun metal are really nice colors.

I'm not sure I would say that they are copies OF spigen... most of these cases are made in the same chinese factories, it's just that we understand spigen's cases to be the in the top percentage of quality. But that's like arguing that Sheetz has better gas than BP has, although they both buy from the same supplier.

not to be rude, but we're suppose to believe your review when you got the cases for free? not all companies throw away free cases to beggers for a review, maybe you got turned down because good cases don't need to be given away for review. companies usually give away cases when they don't make many sales... also, amazon reviews are flawed because competitors can leave negative reviews to others.. buy good brand and be done with it.

I think you're a little wrong with that comment, agreed many cases do look similar to what Spigen make, but who copied who lol I think there's a growing consumer trend for cases that are either sleek and stylish or functional or protective. And pretty much all mobile phone case manufacturers have caught onto that trend, so it's now and immensely saturated market with everyone producing cases very similar to one another. I guess the benefit of this is they're all fighting for sales, which often means reductions in prices, good for us

its easy to know who copied who.. Who came out with the first Neo Hybrid? Spigen. now there is a flood of them. anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional or hasnt been buying cases for very long to have known what Spigen cases have looked like for years..
