Just wondering if I should be worried. I just rooted my n7 and since then, my wifi icon will turn to gray from blue but I stay connected...
Is his something I should be worried about, or is this just small issue?

If I remember correctly, grey means there are no Google services connected. Have you opted to not sync any Google data?
I think Google data center is having problems right now... because I didn't rooted or anything and the WiFi bars turns gray every 1 min... usually it stays blue all the time.

In Gingerbread sometimes the bars for the wifi, 3g and signal indication are lit in a bright gray and sometimes (most of the time green).
Does anyone know why? Or what the difference between the two is?

Yes, green bars notifies about connection with google services. If you try to run talk when bars are grey you will se that it's signing.
Cheers!

Does the blinking icon actually affect anything you're doing? Does it cause an interruption to the webpage or anything?

Try booting into recovery and clearing both cache's(on two different screens) My WiFi was scanning every few seconds and interupting web and also turning my screen on after I would turn it off...no more problems now!
Try setting the wifi option "notify me when any network is available" to disabled.
Hi all
My Wifi stays on during sleep even though in settings I have this option set to never.
Anyone else experienced this? And is there a way to make the Wifi go of when n7 is in sleep mode?
Thanks
Chris

Could use a battery saving app and see if it kills wifi

Thanks I might look at that, it's not a big issue was more curious to see if any one else's acts the same way.

Have you actually given it time to turn off? Not sure if it is 5 or 10 minutes but for me it eventually turns off.
EDIT: I am set to "Only when plugged in"
Or there is a build prop tweak that suspends it in sleep like pm.sleep_mode=0 or close to that

The N7 wifi stays active for several minutes after the unit goes to sleep - even if you have it set to be only on when plugged-in or off when sleeping.
This is a really stupid design so I use my wifi widget to just turn it off before putting the unit to sleep.
There's most likely a setting somewhere to tweak to get the wifi to turn off immediately when the tablet sleeps.
Yes, the built in wifi off at screen off sometimes takes minutes and sometimes never turns it off.
Green Power, Tasker, Settings Profile, etc, all market apps will turn off wifi for you on screen off.
I use Tasker myself.
I don't know if others are having the same problem but I have a stock phone not rooted and active notifications enabled
Every time I place my phone upside down and then a few seconds later turn it over it will show the time..no problem...everytime
On the other hand if I leave my phone aside faced up ..after the screen goes black I would say 8 times out of 10 the clock shows up when I pick up the phone.. I'm assuming the sensors know that the phone has been picked up a d activate the clock display....sometimes the screen remains black even after picking it up and giving it a gentle or hard shake.....bug ?

I too am experiencing this especially when there are no notifications which seems like a waste to me.
Can you guys check your sensors? Maybe something's broken. I'm having sensor issues myself, and have noticed inconsistent notification behavior as well.

I don't turn my phone upside down. But just sitting there face up it it completely and randomly light up the notifications

That's normal behavior.
Today I noticed that the Wi-Fi icon animation for turning on and off Wi-Fi is gone. Before, when I would turn on Wi-Fi, each "bar" on the Wi-Fi "launch" icon would light up in sequential order but how the whole icon lights up immediately. What happened to the animation? Same for when I turn off Wi-Fi. Before each bar would turn off in order but now the whole thing just turns off.
