Pretty cool apps. But beware though,
1. Certain apps (paid/full features unlocker, for example) cannot be moved
2. Certain apps such as Elixir2, Poweramp, Rocket Player cannot run
Solution:
1. I use ES File Explorer to uninstall system apps, then reinstall the apps normally

Nice, it works

SILK BROWSER..AWESOME BROWSER hacked from kindle fire.

this is the awesome browser by amazon in their kindle fire. the interface is very very very polished.
download the zip from http://www.multiupload.com/7ISQD7B02H
pace the libs in the lib folder into /system/lib and set the permissions as 6-4-4
install the apps in the app folder normally.
now copy the com.amazon.cloud9-1.apk from /data/app to /system/app and set the permission as 6-4-4
reboot.
enjoy a great browser.
Created flashable zip get it in my mediafire share folder or HERE (FIXED)
(I hate the browser but i just like to create flashable zips )
...hating the browser, yet creating a flashable zip is a weird (but very nice) thing to do LOLZZ
btw, i love this browser more than the stock browser.
Silk brower sucks because it is always active in the background so it's a battery hog.

android apps are actually designed 2 be alive at the background in a cache, ready for u 2 use it when u need. the silk browser IS actually a battery hog, but it is having a very nice intuitive interface that i like and thot of sharing.

You didn't read carefully what I wrote. I've said that silk stays active in the background, not stopped like everything else when you don't use it.
Also it's worth mention that after locking the screen silk goes in to inactive state. So it's only active till you lock your screen, on next unlock it's inactive (not like for example stock music app from v20n which is active all the time).
edit: nope Silks wakes up randomly there's no pattern
aww...i feeli should uninstall the silk then??...buggy,eh???
okies....dolphin is the way to go

miui4eva APPS ANYONE??

As you guys know(or should by now) I've ported MIUI to the Bionic. I need your help for a list of apps you would like to see in it. FREE APPS. Just Throw Some At Me And If I See Multiples, I'll Throw Them In It.
.....nothing?
Generally I think you should avoid adding apps...but the USB and wifi tether apps listed in my noob guide would be a good addition.

Absolutely nothing. I hate installing ROMs that need bloat removed. I generally skip them.

I not installing bloat. That why I'm asking what are you guys looking for.
I would add the Google source tethering app and that's about it. Also in your rom you have to have wifi to download anything from the browser or market. The toggle in the downloads app doesn't work. But great job on the rom!
Sent from my XT875 using xda premium
that's in the settings don't remember where but i gives you a pop in the market gives you the option to que or continue and on that dialog it gives you directions on where in setting to go to disable it.. had that same issue too..
I've looked all over the settings and I can't find it :O if you find it please let me know. I love miui!
Sent from my XT875 using xda premium
what happends when you try and download a file over 3/4g ??
It goes in the notification bar as usual, but when I look it says "file to large please connect to wifi"

These aren't apps people!
Phone info app for easy toggling of data.

Also add Swype beta installer, I can verify it works after using it for a day.

to late..and you guys are thinking apps like games and stuff...I'm thinking apps like
RomToolbox
DSPManager
PhoneInfo(as its pre-beta)
WifiTether
stuff like that ya know.....tools you'll need on a pre-beta Rom
MIUI apps
Flash Video Browser- watch Hulu, Youtube, College Humor, CBS as a desktop browser, no more blocked cause your on a mobile browser.
Webkey- cell sitting on charger in bedroom, have access and control of it from your browser.
AirDroid- cleaner than Webkey, less options but BADazz either way.
Webtop Connector- taken from Atrix I believe, lets you run webtop without buying hardware, just plug in HDMI cable. Can't wait it Webuntu is ready.
Android-wifi-tether- cause Barnacle wouldn't work and 4G is too fast not to tether.
NZB Leech- my ISP limits my bandwidth, so this help to expand it. Use Opera or Firefox and I like binsearch.info for downloading NZB files. No PAR checker, but I justs transfer to PC if I need to rebuild.
Clover- cause free $5 and easy to get pay and pay people. MOD EDIT: Link removed - no referral links allowed
LCD Density and LCD Resolution- I like that one shows you the resolution your about to set, other gives you more control. Set to 180dpi and webtop mirror will give you 1280x720 on your HDTV.
Swiftp- sharing is caring. Easiest FTP server I've used, and works great.
ES File Explorer
Opera Mobile
Firefox
Google+
Amazon App Store
Battery Monitor Widget
AdAway
1Weather
Android Assistant
Adobe Reader
Barcode Scanner
Box.net
CameraMX
Currents
DiskUsage
Docs
Dropbox
FBReader
FireFox
Flash
Handcent SMS
MoboPlayer or MX Video Player
Navigation
Sound Recorder
SuperUser
Talk
Titanium
Voice
Youtube
I know this is overboard, but these are apps I like to install and use.
If you have an app that you consider better than the ones listed, please let us know what you like about it versus this list.
ES File Explorer vs Astro File Manager = ES has a built-in scanner to find network shared folders. Also client for Dropbox and Box.net, so easier to copy/paste into you cloud storage. Box.net offering 50GB free.
Maybe we can do a Games thread later on.

[Q] Lag after freeze apps

Hi bros,
I have noticed an interesting thing happen here, always that i flash a new rom (with root access) and freeze some apps like google+, yahoo! weather, talkback and Google talk i see lags and freeze on S Advance. I only freeze safe apps, almost no system things. I freeze the same apps that everybody do to make an smartphone smoother and smarter.
I never saw force close or error message, just lag and freeze, but freeze apps was not to just let the phone lighter, stopping with default applications not use and thus avoiding freezes?? Why I'm noticed the opposite thing that i should?
Today I flash LQ4 again, and i'm thinking to uninstall this apps instead of freeze. What you think, guys?
Thanks!

Are you running adfree or another ad-blocker?
I'd look at the Play Store for the apps you've installed. Look at the one-star reviews and see who *****ing about ads in the app.

You won't find one in the Play Store; Google did a "house cleaning" and pulled all of the ad blockers.
I'd recommend adfree at:
http://adfree.bigtincan.com/index.php
You'll have to manually install it, copying it to /system/apps, and ensure the permissions are set to 644 (rw, r, r).

i just tried two ad detectors(appbrain ad detector and trustgo ad detector) but they couldn't find any..
i'll look into your adfree app, thanks!
This annoying ads come from apps downloaded from untrusted sites or cracked apps, most of them are adware who pretend to offers you free apps when it really are virus.

About the reply of app-ops.. I only use greenify for apps and sometimes I use fx file manager to just disable some apps which I think I won't be using so frequently for example, Domino's app.

I am using AEX 4.6 - 20171009 and these are the apps that I froze.
Amazon Shopping, BookMyShow, Domino's, Google Play Games, Hangouts, JioMusic, Paypal, Shareit.
Whenever I needed them, I just goto FX file explorer and UN-Freeze them I'ts kind of annoying sometimes, specially when you're in a hurry, but I didn't found any better solution for this (Because 1GB RAM, remember ).
Any better solutions are welcome
