Thanks! I appriciate the help. Other's might like the JE4 version as well for tinkering, so this could be a win win situation, if the file can be found.
If you can find someone who has an account with them here is a site that has ithttp://files-for-all.com/download/G...are/Original files/Samsung/I897/I897UCJE4.zip

I've tried that site guy's, they really are there, the files, but I have no income to create an account to get the files. Thank's for looking!. I'm wondering if any one has it on a phone and could get an adb backup created for us here to try. This site http://www.downloads.bombaymobiles.in/index.php?dir=Samsung%20Flash%20files/I897/ has alot of files for diffirent phones, i'm directing you to the i897 files and JE5 is in there if you want an idea what its like, But again looking for JE4, i've read that it's less buggy and I just really want to use it and mess around with it.

my question is allready in the subject more or less
Is it possible to open zips made for cwm and install the files by adb?
And do I see where to put everything if I look insight the zipfolder?
I just want to learn a bit about all of these things but cant find any "compressed" information about what exactly cwm is doing for example.
So ill be happy about good links or explanations as well
Hope im in the right forum

Just as some general advice: To save yourself from flaming in the future I'd use the search button
Some people on here love to meander into threads like this every once and a while to have fun by hassling the OP surely I'd never do that...lol

+1 Hooorah! on your sig
wel i tried the method that guy told me but i couldn't get it to work...
It worked for me multiple times on multiple devices. I updated ota to the latest software, rooted, installed clock work recovery via rom manager. Then I rebooted and started deleting all the bloatware and other unnecessary junk. Good luck.
One click root apk. Its in the themes and apps section. It will not fail you.

If you're already rooted, search for the already package zip version of it. It's around here. I think both nfx and that other dude (which name I can't think of) made one.
Here you go! Did it last night again and it works.

Try just searching for CyanogenMod. or you could google that with the site to search just being xda. Good luck.
Never mind, saved you the trouble: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=978150
Thanks for posting link, not sure how to do that using xda app ...
My everchanging Cappy!!!!
Dude, there's a sticky at the top of this subforum for CM7. If you have this trouble finding easy stuff, you better stay away from CM7 or flashing ROMs. I see a brick in your future.

if you aren't able to find the thread on your own, I ask that you please don't install this ROM as I lack faith in your expertise to even install the ROM properly, and I'd rather not hear about how it "bricked your phone" or some other such nonsense.
(a bit pessimistic, I know, but the ROM is still pre-beta and not ready for noob consumption)

Go to #3 follow that step by step exactly ... make sure its exact ... if you do it right your phone should be running... if you have trouble pm the dark lestat and hell be able to assist you ... but download the v20p.kdz file go to that URL and follow it from step 3

I once had that error..
you need to make sure all drivers are installed.
when i got that error, a new hardware prompt came up and asked me to install drivers, a couple different usb/cdma and an omap prompt if i do recall.
you should be able to find the drivers in the guide to install the kdz
or check the lg site
hope this helps!
whatch the video from xda when u sign up... u just got answered with something is already answered... you just gotta look U.U
To be honest i'm not super skilled with all the updating and stuff, but when I updated my phone I did a live chat with one of LG's reps, stepped me right through it. It was surprisingly helpful considering how disappointing their support of the phone has been so far. But the devs on here have been awesome too, I've found all my answers just searching through the forums like the guys before me said

Hi, I thought we could do with a thread for questions regarding what to do once the UCCW zip is ready.
My own questions are about things to do to make them ready for the Playstore.
First, how to make healthy APKs. I understand that it is just a matter of changing the extension from .zip to .apk. Is this correct? I have done this but when I click on the APK, I get "There was a problem while parsing the package". What am I doing wrong?
Many thanks for any response.
hi, firstly i will link you the uccw google play thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31911116
now you need to know that just renaming the skin to apk does not work, you need to follow the instructions in the link i gave. its easy once you get the hang of it.
Tip - test each apk you make on your own phone before even attempting to upload to store.
I start my new job tomorrow so i wont be around to help much but read all the instructions and watch the video tutorial then test.
hope all goes well for you.
regards
slym.
