I am totally confused as to what density should be set for best experience on our galaxy mini . Can you guys please tell what all are you using ?

That of stock
No use changing density, lot of apps will stop working and you'll get lot of fc's... btw. that was already discussed some time ago...
But isn't it helpful for games also decreasing it a bit should be no problem I guess if fcs then a wipe data can fix that.

If density changes can not download from market
It doesn't work like that, it depends on apps, and changing density is causing incompatibilities
Oh OK thanks

Although you can make the screen seem larger by making everything smaller. I think it's best to leave it as it is

density can effect only apps, games will not have any change
CM7.2 looks great on 110 DPI, but apps like xda app, dropbox, and a couple of others do not work for me. But yeah, more stuff fits on the screen, and my small fingers like it . Anyway, i want the apps mentioned above to work, so stock 120DPI it is

Either you are drunk or your keyboard has been cheating on you
+1 on the lighter ROM OR
At OP: there is an app called system tuner, where you could decide which applications should start, using that you could have a restricted start up and "might" be able to reduce memory usage.

I'm using stock keyboard and I'm using 160 in both System and user Apps but one wierd thing is that there are some values that I did not insert when I got to change density per app. Like in android system it's using 120, in browser 140 etc. Does this affect anything?

just import a lamborghini v10 engine and pour some shell motor oil.
make sure u to keep ur pistons clean and time to time check coolant levels.
also make sure the tyres have sufficient air in them bcoz when u run at high speeds it helps to keep balance..and improve ride experience..
in the end if u want full experience dont use ics on mini ...buy a better phone

CM9 was pretty much as fast as it could be on Mini, there is really nothing major that can be improved. For me, when I was using CM9 on Mini, it was way faster than any other 2.3 ROM, tough the lack of RAM made it very buggy when, for example, browsing Play Store and downloading multiple apps while reading e-mail etc.

Yeah I know but on cm10.1 armv6team changed to a new ram management which consome very less ram (on cm10.1 for galaxy mini I got ~100MB free with 20 or 19 apps installed. But I think it has to do with triple frambuffer too since androidarmv6 team disabled on cm10.1
Anyway erikcas is just working on cm9 to fix some things that are remaining for example: YouTube Reboots, Video Recording, WPA 2 Encryption (very easy to fix)
But Cm9 is still more smooth just sometimes phone freeze (maybe ram consumption? Or triple framebuffer? Or anything that I don't know ) and I hope he fix it
Will be very thankfully

You cannot reduce RAM amount the device is using... Just think. If app uses 10MB RAM it will use it like no matter what. Of course it's possible to prevent memory leaks and stuff like that, but the change is not very big. Also, I know he will fix the bugs that were still present when I left, but I was talking about the speed.

Hi there, especially to all the masters here.. I'm just confused of what the Seeder really does in our device. Please anyone who could give advice if this apps really do a significant to galaxy mini. Others said that it was just a placebo effect, Anyway, when I'm using it I can't really notice a great change of performance or it would just be the way I used it... TIA.! Godbless
It depends on the device and it's usage
It only reduces the extra lag (which should not happen)
If the lag is normal then the app cannot do anything about it
got a good explanation, i'm clear now.i guest,, thank you for the respond, i should continue use of seeder...:thumbup::thumbup:hahah

I want to change the DPI 220 would be right.? currently in 320 this may serve to improve the quality a bit?
Okay, just download a dpi changer front the market. In my opinion 220 would be to small, but whatever your preference. Having said that, this is the development section. The only thing that you should post in here is development, not questions about development, requests, or other things like that. Just for your future knowledge because some people get really irritated by posting non development in this area.
Oh by the way in the unofficial development thread in the general section there was a discussion about this and an app that worked great.
