HELP: Google Search Force Close on CM10 Beta1. - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I pressed on the search-bar for the first time it brought to Google Now, after going through the introduction and clicking "No I don't want this" Google search force closed. I tried it again by choosing "yes, I want it" and it still force closes. Is there any way to just completely get rid of Google Now so I can use my search-bar again? How do I fix this problem?
Thanks in advance.
(I couldn't find anything y searching so I made a new thread)

The ROM is still in beta...so u can expect force closes.
Use Titanium Backup to uninstall it or freeze.

Will this allow me to use google search again? How do I uninstall or freeze it?

[Q]Is it possible to associate search button with Google search(Telcel's ROM)

I have Mexico's Telcel ROM and when I hit the search button (capacitive) it opens Telcel's cooked search application and tries to connect to their proxy; is it possible to remap this key so it will open Google's search? I am rooted. I really do not want to switch to a custom ROM.
Anyone? I need your help
have you installed the app in your phone ald?
cos if im not mistaken, once you installed then press the search button it would ask you which program would you like to set as default..... click the 'remember this option' button and choose google search....... then if youre rooted if you can just delete the stock search app...
thats how i got my search button to open to google search......... hope this helps
thanks. I do have it installed. first time I tried using the button after installing Gsearch it gave me the option, I selected Gsearch but it only held the option once (even if I told it to remember my selection). How can I make it ask me again which search engine I want to use? I tried clearing the data on Telcel and Gsearch apps but nothing happens.
you cant uninstall the telcel search app?
so dar I have only tried freezing the app, and that makes the button unusable, so my guess is it will have the same effect if I uninstall the app.

Uninstall updates shouldn't cause you to lose any games. It will just revert the application back to it's original published version.

[App] Lollipop Gmail and Calendar

Hello Everyone. I came across these on a different section of XDA, and figured I would repost! Huge thanks to Lukijs for posting these.
Gmail, Email, and Exchange Services (Unpack this zip and install... DON'T FLASH!!)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95747613655048183
Google Calendar
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95747613655048182
These are all from Lollipop. I have them all running on Bad Boyz Rom.
Edit: I thought these were signed because they installed just fine on my device. It would seem I was wrong. You will have to uninstall the original and install this to get it up and running in some cases.
Any way to confirm these are safe? I'm getting an error about "conflicting signature".

As far as I know they were pulled from the Lollipop build, but other than that, no. I have them installed on my device and they are running great. I think they have a conflicting sig to keep unrooted peeps from installing. you will have to uninstall the old app and install this one to get it up and running. I believe you had to do the same w/ the keyboard app too.

I installed keyboard without uninstalling (with some added .lib files). I just want to be sure before I install them.

OK, sorry it took so long to respond. Not sure why it worked for me. I did install the email app as well. What version is your Google Services. I am on 6.1.83. Make sure you install the exchange services too. Since Gmail has exchange support you will need it! Hope that helps!
Edit: I would also mention I am on Bad Boyz ROM

Play Store Error Fix

Well I've tried to install big apps like Fifa 15. Well this error keeps popping up.
Eror 905 Could not install application.
Is there a fix for this?
I've read that its related to the Memory Leak in lollipop?

Are you rooted? You can try to uninstall and reinstall it. Maybe someone has a flashable zip or you can do it with the help of Aroma gapps.

If you don't want to install/reinstall playstore (for it's a system app) you can try aroma gapps because there you can decide what you want to flash. Uncheck everything you don't need and just flash playstore. Just an idea.
You can also uninstall playstore with titanium and move the new playstore apk to system with a file manager like root explorer.

Phone reboots when trying to remove Microsoft OneNote

So I updated to 6.0.1 and rooted the phone. I'm on the stock ROM and tried to debloat programs so I tried removing OneNote through an uninstall app. (I tried installing Titanium Backup but there was an error) So I managed to remove most of the apps I didn't want, except OneNote. Every time I try to uninstall it, my phone reboots and remains on my device. Anyone having this issue? Thanks!
Try with CCleaner or search for a debloater at play store.

Yeah when I try disabling it it asks me if I want to restore the app back to factory default for OneNote. When I hit yes, it reboots. ..does the same thing as me trying to uninstall it all together .. . i think it might be a particular file missing by chance? something must have happened when I rooted the phone. ..

If you are root, I think you can use a file explorer to delete it manually, only do that if you know how, other option could be restoring the firmware, disable all apps you don't want, make root, and uninstall them, I hate that app too. (One more idea, try to make it sleep with greenify and uninstall)
