changing from 1 custom kernel to another

hey guys. so right now i am running gingerdx v021 with linuxdx v004.
now i want to change from linuxdx to alfs kernel. now is there any special way since i already have a custom kernel or do i just flash it normally?
-wilbso
I've always found that to flash a kernel successfully, Id have to always flash the rom again, to get the original kernel, then clear cache/dalvik, then flash the new kernel. It wouldn't work going from one custom kernel to another, so I'd always flash the rom, then the kernel. And wipe(duh). For me it insures 100% success.

Also this isn't my phone either, but it should help.

_YEa, just have to flash it normally, dont worry , use flashtool
iv had 1 reply saying flash rom (what rom? stock rom or one i already have?)
and one saying i can flash from 1 custom kernel to another
i need a verified answer from experianced people.
just change the kernel normally. its like changing rom, u dont go back to stock rom just to install another rom

Don't forget to clear cache and dalvik-cache. Sometimes kernel seems to be unstable - in that case do a full wipe.
Ok thanks guys. Moving on from linuxdx to alfs

[Help!]WiFi not work when using nAa Kernel

Hi everyone, I've faced a big problem for installing ROM based on nAa Kernel,
actually I'm using PrimeHD Stock Kernel Version since my wifi only works for stock kernel...
After I tried MiniCM9 based on nAa Kernel, I can switch on the wifi,
but it becomes very unstable and reconnect for many time....
I can't download Apps from Google Play and even I can't connect my Google account...:crying:
I believe my bootloader is unlocked because of the result received from s1tool
Is there any solution for this problem?
You flashed them in correct order ?
Kernel > Full Wipe > Flash Rom

if its still not working the answer is Yes
and the ROM too..
don't restore data from different kernel.
i.e
you had flashed kernel B but you're restoring from kernel A
it make error..
Clear cache,go to partition and click format cache. Full wipe and reflash rom!

[Q] PrimeHD 10 wont work with nAa 14 kerlnel

Hy, i have the problem that the Prime HD 10 Rom wont work with nAa14 kernel , it stay still @ the boot logo from the rom. With Alfs kernel it works!
Any tips?
Maybe try with older versions of naa kernel
It works fine for me.....try to shut down your device when it's stuck on boot loop ( by removing battery)
And start again.
I tried it on lewa rom and it works for me
Sent from my LeWa_OS using xda app-developers app
i'm using it...try reflashing kernel and format system before flashing rom and full wipe
