Adeela, check on the Skins thread, it's a simple matter of downloading file manager from the market, dropping the theme on to the SD Card and then using file manager to install it.
Download the .apk and use Astrofile manager to install the apk file thats what i do and it works fine

I know people don't read every thread but jeez, the sticky has [SKIN] and if they read the first post it tells them.
People really need to read the XDA rules. This is why it is getting more and more difficult to search the forums because of useless posts.

Agreed. The OP has oly just joined, that was his/her 2nd post in which they clearly noted they are new to this.
I am new to Android too and had to get my head around some things, and you can see I have been here a while!
Also as you pointed out the sticky is titled [SKINS] not themes, in some peoples minds these can be quite different things.

hey guys I am on the latest Mintberry 1.12.25 with FUGU, whenever I try to copy big files to my external sd it disconnects automatically after some time.. Showing "parameter is incorrect" error.. I dont know what the problem is.. it worked well on all the previous versions.. i have formatted the card twice from pc.. still same problem..
any kind of help would be appreciated...

Seriously.... I respect your preference.
But we simply have to move forward and NOT go back. Newer version contain new features and optimizations for better user experience.
If you like the old UI, I'll suggest you playing around with themes and stuff. This avenue allows you to have the UI that you want to have and also the new features the OS bring.

If you want to gain respect from others again, just create a thread about a new port, rom or anything else, where you already have the finished product, not promises, or coming soon and blah blah blah. And try to create an original project, not a kanged work or anything else, this will determine if you are really a Developer, with creativity, knowledge and hardwork : not someone who creates "useless threads" or provide "fake promises" . Just ry not to promise anymore, just show us the final product.

@OP : I usually act like the other guys who replied earlier to people like you, but today I'm in a good mood so here no videos but a very detailed tutorial on how to build a rom for the X8 and may I warn you and anyone else who reads this, if I receive any PM's regarding ROM building, you will be introduced to my ignore list. XDA is knowledge. I am a user. Instead of bugging a user, dive head first into the vast entity of knowledge here on XDA and you'll be amazed at what you can learn. Aside from that, I'm tired of helping copy cats.

yup soft moding but.. .he can instead of using the files of the rom make his own files. it is just for instruction on how to proceed.. and it is always better to first learn soft modding than to jump into building from sources and scratch..
EET's method is only for FXP kernel (backbone to all kernels but pretty outdated).. so i guess i wont be interesting.. i am myself waiting for method which will work on alfs kernel and nAa kernel
may be he end up a expert dev cant tell....? .. cant call anyone copy cat.. basic of learning is to first know what to learn...

This is the reason WHY it is not allowed to be shared to the public, it will NOT be shared in the public for these reasons. I have read the topic name obviously, I'm just giving you the REASON WHY it is not allowed to be shared to the public AT ALL!
Obviously it's not the link for the dump or ftf file...
Reason is one noone want share, becouse do not want. I.m understand it and it is standart.

That's not at all, we would share but there is a good reason for it (Read the post again!)
System dump can't just be shared with everyone. It's an unreleased device so a leak always means a risk for someone to be kicked out by Sony.

Unfortunately, people that think like we do are becoming lost in the sea of self entitled noobs that have swamped these forums with the increased popularity of Android and modding.
They refuse to search or read before posting or show any respect to people that give their time for free to develop better software for their device.

Stop being ignorant & try to understand the risks involved in sharing the system dump. They are not sharing the dump even to the recognized developers:crying: Also if you keep on replying like a 7yr old, every one is gonna ignore your reply.
