how to create a forum just like this?

hi guys, I really love XDA, im on it all the time, But i wanted to make my own forum just like this, except its focused on just 1 phone, Is there any possible way to create a forum the same as this and excellent as this one?
If so, Can you give me a step-by-step walkthrough? Cheers (P.S, like i said, exactly (nearly) like this, so i can recruit mods,etc, mysql, php etc, anything, as long as its like this forum/website)

well there are lots of free websites that allows you to create forums which you can manage as you like or create one on your own with phpbb, vb etc with your domain. If its a forum, you can assign mods, database or just anything else.

Well then you have to find oue, and make it do what you want. Most forums are based on phpBB or vBulletin. I think XDA is vBulletin.

Simple. I've made a forum before.
Buy vBulletin or another forum software. Get yourself some hosting, according to the specs. Install the forum on the server using the manual. Then just start tweaking the settings and get it noticed.

Xda is vBulletin and awesome sauce. You CAN'T just copy that.....but you can try.

Well... Good ! But I guess you can do much better with a Forumotion's free forum !
It's the best free forum hoster, which offers a lot of possibilities. You need to try !

May be worth considering whether or not the forum you go with is supported by Tapatalk. There's a list of forums they support on their site...

I beleive the recipe is 2 parts vBulletin, 2 parts contributing users and 8 parts trolls....
Mix well and leave to simmer for 9 years....

Of course it did. Forums needs users and by only focusing on ONE device, the forum becomes a ghost town when a new version gets released. Its not a sustainable model at all.

If noone answers you, it could be because no one has an answer...
I'd tell you to wait or to look if someone has ported it to MIUI ROMs. They have millions of unlockers, of different sizes, styles... Have you looked at it?

How about learning to do it yourself instead of getting upset that no one jumps up and volunteers to do something for you, in their own time, for free I might add.

you think i didnt try myself? If i ask someone for port, THEN it means i didnt succeed in my own actionsi spent like all night yesterday trying ot sort it out and i didnt succeed, but i dont force, if someone doesnt want to do it he can freely forget about it... shouldnt we get kinda support when you cant to something? or when EVERY questions iveasked were NOT answered... so? You maj judge me, and if you`re right i gonna just leave it all...

and yes i had..i was even ready to flash MIUI 4.0 if i find it... (i dont like Milocker, its buggy) + sometimes its kinda annoying when you search for one thing, and search gives out completely another... as i said before, i may be wrong... i dont blame people for judging others... so ill just leave if i was wrong with this thread

I wouldn't mind an answer from the mods too. Was just about to quiz you on the release of the the next version of LinuXperia for stock kernel and found the topic is now locked :what:

I want to devlop rom's and kernel's but problem is i am electronics engineering guy.. so know a not much of programming but i would like to learn.. please tell how can i start.. what i need... i recently learned RED HAT.. and got RHCE certified.. could that be any help...

I have ported ICECOLDSANDWITCH 8.8. and O2 rom using this and elol's Guide but problem is that they are not booting from fresh wipe and works only when install with previous file.handsfree is not working but all other features are somewhat ported.
Atleast try for 10 times befor asking for results.
Always follow that only cm9 with cm9 and aokp with aokp can be ported if any doubt, feel free to ask as I am also anoob and don't understand many things I am doing but will love to learn so that I can have a better understanding of android.

I too have a lot of time in hand and have been trying to port the latest miui roms. Maybe we can turn this post into a guide referral. If you find a useful guide, please post the link here. I would also like to form a device team once I get a proper understanding on how to port roms. Anyone interested.

This is the reason WHY it is not allowed to be shared to the public, it will NOT be shared in the public for these reasons. I have read the topic name obviously, I'm just giving you the REASON WHY it is not allowed to be shared to the public AT ALL!
Obviously it's not the link for the dump or ftf file...

Reason is one noone want share, becouse do not want. I.m understand it and it is standart.

That's not at all, we would share but there is a good reason for it (Read the post again!)
System dump can't just be shared with everyone. It's an unreleased device so a leak always means a risk for someone to be kicked out by Sony.

Remember, everything on xda is for free, so you can at least give a little respect to people who try to help you.
People like you are the reason why many devs discontinue their work. People always demand and don't think about other people spending their free time just to help.

Unfortunately, people that think like we do are becoming lost in the sea of self entitled noobs that have swamped these forums with the increased popularity of Android and modding.
They refuse to search or read before posting or show any respect to people that give their time for free to develop better software for their device.

Stop being ignorant & try to understand the risks involved in sharing the system dump. They are not sharing the dump even to the recognized developers:crying: Also if you keep on replying like a 7yr old, every one is gonna ignore your reply.
