I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with there vivid randomly rebooting on it's own! It will randomly happen once or twice a day which wouldn't be a problem except it generally occurs at the worst time possible i.e. when I'm on the phone. I'm currently running ICS-sense 3.6-kernel 3.0.36 Holics_0716-Holics rom v1.0 even though i could have sworn i downloaded v1.2 but in the about phone section it says the software # is v1.0. Thanks in advance for any feedback!
I think it's an issue with Holics kernal. Try a different kernal. I like faux myself.

I'll definitely look into it and give it a try thanks. Oh and i have S-ON so can i just grab the boot img from the kernel and drop replace the one in my orginal folder on my pc with the new img. and the just flash it through fastboot. Or do i need to download anything to my sd card in order to flash it? Still new to all of this! Thanks for your help!

Yes, you'll still have to flash the zip after the fastboot...
Fastboot for the kernel
Flash for the kernel lib...if you don't flash WiFi won't work

Okay so i got a little free time i downloaded another kernel and i put it onto the sd card. I then flashed the kernel through my pc using fastboot.
I then restarted the phone into recovery and tried to flash the zip file for the kernel that i downloaded and it keeps coming up with an error saying something like E:\ update pack not found. ( Or something along those lines) Any idea what that's all about?
hello, do you fix your problem?
i`ve the same....can you tell me what did you do?

For those of you that flashed a bad radio to your NS4G, there is a fix!
Many thanks go out to Netarchy for relentlessly trying to fix my radio, and Shabbypenguin for supply Netarchy with his phone images both of them did a lot of work just to get my phone operational again Thank you very much!
Attached is the signed zip for you to flash in recovery. now listen very carefully before you complain that this didn't work for you. It did not work for me either, but it just may work for some people to flash in recovery, that is why i'm supplying a signed zip for you. What I had to do to get this to work is to unzip the file. inside there is a file called "radio.pr.img" boot into your bootloader and use the following fastboot command
Code:
fastboot flash radio radio.pr.img
that worked for me and hopefully it will work for anyone else that flashes a bad image.
Once again thank you to Shabbypenguin and Netarchy, and anyone else that may have helped out.

So can we use this with the SuperAsop rom?
Does anyone know if fastboot oem listpartitions work with this phone? Not at my pc right now. I was wondering which partitions were which. I dumped every image, 7, and i have one that is 13.5mb which i think is the radio that this phone came with. Also i wanna find out which is wimax
Uncle Jimmy says hello
So I installed SuperASOP 8.0 and then tried flashing the zip in recovery and pushing the img file via ADB and still have no radio. So it looks like no we can't use SuperASOP yet.
no superaosp doesnt have the cdma/wimax stuff, it was added to teh aosp source yesterday

just fair warning you shouldnt post in anothers thread and then go make a thread about it, anyways there is the stock files on the dev forum for the ns4g download that and install it. then run the program it installed, it will get you back to 100% stock

honestly dude s off ;p. Its alot easier to flash roms and everything ;p. I was pretty scared to do it at first as its my first time having to s off any phone but it wasnt too bad.
also u should probly start from scratch with the ics ph39img as it seems something in your rom has gotten jacked up.

S-Off isn't necessary. If you flashed WCX ROM without flashing the boot.img in fastboot USB mode, that's why your wifi isn't working. If you flashed WCX recovery, you can fastboot flash a different recovery (again, from fastboot USB), but it shouldn't be necessary.
Or you can get flashimggui from the themes and apps thread and install whatever recovery you want over...

Hey Fox, I had that problem the first few roms I tried. You may want to use TWRP as your recovery manager, and if you already are, or that doesn't work, try a different rom. I'm using PACman Unofficial with TWRP on my Vivid without issue (aside from call volume which is in all JB roms). Be sure to fastboot boot boot.img the correct boot.img and do it at least twice, before you use update from .zip. Good Luck. Cheers!
Hi guys. I was installing a ROMS and now my HTC ONE does not load the system. It leave like stuck in the screen of fast boot. Any of you knows how to resolve this problem. Any help is welcome.

Try rewiping and flashing the Rom again. U should provide more info such as S-off or s-on? What Rom? What were your steps to flash? And what recovery are u using?

Also depending on the ROM you picked you may or may not have to flash a boot IMG aswell.

If OP flashed a .zip, it usually should include the boot.img for them. Usually, anyway.
hi,
lately i have been experimenting with my velocity, been trying to find some good roms, no such luck accept for a couple,
the on that is 98% working is the Elagancia rom,
the 2% not working is the wifi and sometimes bluetooth, as we all know this problem is because there is no MAC address assigned, apparently this is because the kernel version has been flashed to many times,
anyway other roms like dark raider, holics and some others have error boxes pop up on the screen nearly every second, and yep, this is very annoying,
So, can anyone help me out with this wifi problem?
Cheers,
Luke.

That's an other solution. But I think I had the same problem with this ROM. So I replaced the wi-fi module and everything was okay.
Try those solutions and let us know.

Normally, when wifi/bluetooth, etc. Don't work, it is cause you don't flash boot.img correctly.
Command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
If your boot.img is named differently then adjust the last part of the command

Yep, i know...
With each new rom I fastboot flash the proper boot. img inside the zip rom file but with no success .. anyway this method is used if you are S-ON, now I'm S-OFF.
Im installing CM11 again now, that it seems like it has own kernel..
I would like to know where are the configuration files in the linux/kernel so i can find where/what driver is looking for.. im googling but couldn't find anything yet.
